Green hue on camera - MDA III, XDA III, PDA2k, 9090 General

I dont know how this happened but now my BA has a green hue in the camera mode, I have tried soft and hard reseting, restoring from a back-up file, different camera apps and patches, upgrading the rom and reinstalling but no luck. I am certain that it is a hardware problem but I aint sending my BA for repair again after waiting 5 months for it to be repaired before from O2 customer service when they said 2 weeks.
Any and all help would be appreciated greatly.

White screen

HI All, have an intersting problem, was surfing the net via wireless when the unit locked up. Soft reset and now all I get is a white screen. The unit seems to hard reset with the startup sound that the unit makes when you first start it up out of the box, but the screen stays white.
Any Ideas?
mmm.... Hard Reset
HI Xeon,
tried that and still comes up with white screen, but does all the correct things re sounds but all you can see is a totally white screen.
You could try leaving it with the battery removed overnight but it sounds like a hardware problem to me, could be the lcd has died or the connection has come adrift for some reason.
I suggest u Upgrade or reinstall the ROM , maybe something happened to one of the files that should not be modified , anyway , u won't lose anything , u already Hard.Rstd .........
i had the same problem before..i did an upgrade that fixed it. but still have a backup even if its a white screen..after i upgraded i had another problem with the Storage Folder missing..and the list goes on..dont wory you'll know what i mean when you get it..
It happened to me the second day I got my O2 XDA IIs. Hard reset didn't seem to do anything... The unit didn't response to a soft reset either... It was just frozen... I removed the battery, boxed it up and was ready to return it. The next day, just before I was about to drop it off, I was curious and did a reset and everything went back to normal... It never happen to me again... Don't know what happened :?
I have the same problem...
The phone shows white screen white it can recieve & make calls, activesync can recognize it.. But the screen still white !!
Any other suggestions for helping solve this problem..
Is this means that the LCD is dead ?? or the problem in its connectors or it's a software prob. ???

Align Screen Problem after LVSW Upgrade

Hi,
I upgraded to LVSW and all worked fine for 1 day. Next day, i got the Align Screen Message which prompts you to press the 5 points on screen.
Cant get passed this screen. Not sure if it is just bad luck that screen breaks same day as upgrade or as a result of upgrade.
Any ideas to get passed the screen align program?
Thanks
Richard Kingsley

hard reset. if the problem persists, then you have a hardware problem and need to warrant repair/return.
I had the same, also with the LVSW (coincidence???). Had to bring it in for repair, new screen. Can't imagine it's the ROM.
Thanks for your help. Tried Hard Reset yesterday, but no difference. Going to send device back for screen to be repaired. I cant imagine that changing Rom could cause this but you never know.
Thanks again
Richard

White Screen Permanent!!

Have sent it back to o2 now, but wondering in the 2/3 week anticipated for repair,if any one else has had this problem.
All running well, then turn on to only get this white screen. No soft or hard reset options,or entering bootloader.Battery out overnight.Only sign of life was flashing phone signal light.
Had recently installed spb insight, but can't think this could cause such a major problem.
Any one else had this?
Also got white screen issues with HTC P3300
I'm getting white screen issues with HTC P3300. White screen then vertical stripes. Hungry programs involving wi-fi or gps seem to trigger within minutes otherwise can be hours. Also soft reset never works. Hard reset does not work with key combination ever either. Have managed to do hard reset with clear storage option. Need to leave battery out for an hour to be able to turn it back on. Rom is original. OS 1.12.0.0. Been all over the web looking for possible causes. Suggested culprits are loose connections inside or overtightened screws. Is it too early to get the torx screwdriver out?
HTC are offering an official upgrade to WM6 13/07/07 for the P3300.
What will I do?
I have the same problem some times.
The phone has it's original software and rom.
It isn't software problem.
After a hard reset does the same thing.
I am waiting the service to come back from vacations.

Hardware or driver?

Okay so a "recent" problem On the camera for my phone i get these really annoying green lines that randomly flash through the image.
It started out just on the 1M setting now its on L as well.
So has the Camera finally been whacked or is this maybe a corrupted driver file?
My last phone that did this (my old Samsung Blast) started with lines, then no images(either green or pink) then died shortly after...
I guess if a re-flash does not fix it a new camera would?

Hard reset and see what happens...or flash another rom, if that stills going on probably your camera has some hardware issues.

OnePlus 3 issues

I'm having the following issues with my OnePlus 3 (stock recovery, no root):
15 November: last known date without any issues
16-18 November: when I played games I noticed that screen won't rotate even when auto rotate was ON
19 November: I wanted to click some pictures when the camera app just stopped working
Tried rebooting and clearing cache, but didn't work
Thought a software update might fix these problems
20-27 November: when I answered calls the screen won't turn off. That's when I realized that all the sensors on the phone had stopped working (no lift up display, motion sensors, etc). Read online that I could get the official Oreo update just by changing my VPN to Germany/Canada. So I did the same and upgraded to Oreo
Still the issues were there and battery drain was significant. The phone would reboot on its own.
On contacting OnePlus support they asked me to do a hard reset which seemed to work only for 3-4 days
28-29 November: the sensors stopped working again & again and I did a hard reset every time
In the end the phone switched off and the white notification light was on continuously. Pressing or holding the power button didn't work. Contacted support
2 December: through a remote session the OnePlus support installed Oreo again and on rebooting I got DM-VERITY error. So the support asked me to visit a Service Centre
3 December: I visited the SC where they concluded it was a hardware issue (motherboard: 17000/-) so I asked them to just roll back to OOS 4.5.1. Worked fine for 10-11 days
14 December: started rebooting randomly. Noticed that the phone would hang and reboot when using the camera (in WhatsApp, CamScanner and stock camera), maybe I'm wrong.
So now there's minimal usage of a phone with such high capabilities knowing that I'll have to do a hard reset once a week.
How can it be a hardware issue if the phone works fine for 4-5 days after a hard reset before breaking down again? What does that white notification light mean? Any help would be greatly appreciated

There is your answer, there is a problem with you motherboard, you need to get it replaced, we cant diagnose a hardware problem here!
How come it works normally for a week or more if there's a problem with the motherboard?
And a hard reset seems to return the phone to its normal state.

That just means that it is faulty and will fail after some time. This most likely means there is a bad memory sector on the board. As suggested. Get it replaced or you will keep having these issues.
Okay. Thanks for clarifying.
May I know what may be the causes for the motherboard damage? How common is it that a motherboard malfunctions?
Because there was no physical damage at all. Thanks again!

See that is the thing. China has no real quality control standards. So it could just have been a bad board. If you look around you will see that a range of random issues seem to pop up over a short time. Yet some are just fine. Like mine. It had a faulty USB port from day one to the point that I knew it was gonna fail. (expected) So I am replacing it.
