I don't know if someone else is having this problem.... My Windows Mobile Device Center is not synchronizing, I get an ERROR....
I just noticed something, if I only configure one Exchange Server the WMDC works OK, but if I have more than one it doesn't work.
Why two?
One is for my works email, and the other one is for synchronizing Google contacts.
Any help???
I have the same problem... I haven't had much time to troubleshoot it yet.
Try this
I have had the same problem what i needed to do & this is the same for XP with active sync, there is a setting (depends which rom u use) for active sync that allows for faster sync u need to uncheck this setting because it wont work with all usb's and if you are using a usb on the case most likely is not a usb 2.0. each time i switch this setting off active sync works again.
Hope this helps
Every day, using HD2 or other device with data connection, We synchronize data for email's , weather, rss, pushmail, or dozen others purpose.
In my case I use automatic synchronization every 4 h, for mail, every 6 h for rss, every 2h for weather. It should be connected - when I'm connecting for weather there's should be other data downloaded ( mail, rss, ... )
Idea - to make a schedule application running in background that launch data connection every 2..4..6h or whatever user want, and synchronize everything user want in the same time. There was something like this in windows 95, 98, and xp. "scheduler" or something like that.
Other possibilities of application - to try with wifi before using gprs connection.
Currently using sense 2.5 in HD2 I cant even set from what hour it's start counting 2..4..6 h intervals
Schedule application should give possibility to choose irregular synch. for example - starting at 6:00 am - every hour till 2:00pm then change to every 3h till 8pm and no synch in night.
To be 100% clear :
Application should :
0. Run in background and keep hand on time, count down user time intervals for synch.
1. Try to connect via WIFI, and if it isn't available turn WIFI off and try to connect using GPRS
2. force all user chosen app's. to use connection and synchronize.
3. close connection after all done.
All other application will be setted to synch manually - forced by this schedule app.
After the OTA update to EC05, I can no longer connect to my exchange 2003 server via Exchange Active Sync. Also had probs with WiFi hotspot not working and the voice search was eff'd up.
Sprint fixed the Hotspot prob and wanted me to prove exchange active sync is working (kinda hard when it won't work on my phone), so I used the techs phone, entered my info and within 2 sec, it had connected and was ready to configure the settings. This proved to them that it wasn't my server but their software.
When configuring, I de-select the SSL and it can't connect to the server, I select SSL and it says Unable to open connection to server due to security error.
Select both SSL and Accept all SSL certificates and get Cannot connect to server, yet as I stated previously, it worked on the tech's phone and he acknowledged that he had a custom build.
Any ideas?

Can you change what port the SSL connection is attempting to use?
Maybe check a phone that it works on and compare the port #s
here is a link where there are lots of others discussing the same issue with various fixes

this one in particular may be of some help

Corporate Sync did -not- work for me (i.e. Accounts & Sync>Add Account>Corporate>Email address & Password) even using the “\” instructions above.
What did work for me was using the normal Email accounts setup (i.e. Choose “Email” application> Press -menu- and choose “Add Account”> Enter “Email address” & “Password”> Choose “Exchange Account”>Enter “Domain\Username” -used both domain\username no slash in front, “Password”, “Exchange Server.”
Not sure why there is an option for Corporate option for email (perhaps google apps?) if so many people having issues with it. Anyway, just choose the normal email setup.

good luck
I have seen this issue on motorola devices but personally never had this happen to me. I use my phone on a 2003 exchange server. In fact 70 percent of the people at my job have company android phones, either htc or samsung branded. Some motos but moto has problems. One thing i could recommend is download touchdown email app trial and it sometimes kick starts your active sync. I'm also not on stock rom if that makes any difference.

I just got my scmexy new Galaxy S III from Bell. Everything works great except email sync. For whatever reason it simply refuses to even fetch the email and as a result there is no notification upon the arrival of a new message. The only time it will show the email is if I open Gmail and manually refresh.
Is anyone else having this issue?
I also from time to time get "Unfortunately, the process com.google.process.gapps has stopped." I don't know if this is a related issue but I can only assume. I normally get that message when I open the browser, but I can force the error by enabling and disabling sync.
I am on a Rooted Stock Rom with no further modifications. Keep in mind this was happening before root.

Its seems to be something with the sync interval, but I am at a loss on how to chnage it.

It is indeed checked. I must note that all my other services sync fine. Calender, picasa web all that good stuff. It is just Gmail. I seem to be receiving the notifications now but they are severely delayed now.
I'm thinking the problem lies with the Sync Frequency. I know on my i9000 I could set the frequency manually (i.e. 1minute, 2 minutes, 5 minutes, Sync Off) but I don't seem to be able to locate that menu now.
Turn off Internet sync to get rid of gapps fc issue. Internet sync, syncs bookmarks to stock browser.

I can't figure it out, Gapps is royally farked. I can't send emails in it either and now it is refusing to connect to any Google Services. I have tried on LTE, HSPA, WiFi and (just for kicks) GSM
Here's what I did because Sync uses battery life.
- removed Gmail app.
- opened the stock email app
- entered my gmail credentials in and select manual setup
- leave everything the same but in the server, enter m.google.com
and voila, you'll have push email instead of syncing at different intervals.
Intesting. I completely forgot about Push Email, which would explain the Sync Interval thing. Gmail's app uses push. Since GAPPS isn't connecting properly, I guess I know what my issue is.
Sigh, I hate resets

How is the Battery Life compared to stock?
I couldn't tell you, I bought the phone new, powered it on once for about 10 seconds and rooted / cm9 lol
you can undervolt the CPU to save battery life, there is also a governor that you can set it to so that it reduces batt consumption.
I'd try it, you have nothing to lose.
I've had this gmail issue from time to time. I usually can fix it but going to settings - applications - all - gmail - clear data and clear cache. Give it a shot

Can somebody help please, my weather app never seems to update, it always says no weather data available but it has my location at the bottom, then when I unlock it says 'to see current weather, tap to turn on auto sync' yet it it set to 3hr intervals. When I click tap to sync now it works
To check it is setup correctly, go to Settings > Accounts & sync > Weather. Make sure that both tick boxes are selected and choose the update schedule you want (I use 1 hour).
(Optional) In addition to this, go to the weather application, open the menu and select 'settings'. Ensure that the following are selected:
- Update when opened
- Scheduled sync
- Update schedule (is set to the frequency you set earlier)
- Temperature scale is set to your preference (F/C)
- Sound effects (if you want them - I hate them)
- My current location (if you want your location to be refreshed when you unlock the phone - uses a little bit of data but very little - it also takes a few moments to update after you unlock)
Do you need to have auto sync enabled as I don't like this on (due to battery usage etc)

When autosync is completely disabled, how should weather sync automatically and get data to show in widget
LG, Helmut
Because I want weather to update but not the other 20 apps lol, I presumed that because I still had it ticked it would
Sent from my HTC One using xda premium
So activate autosync and deactivate other apps.
deactivate autosync will sync nothing
