i have a copy of Sin City that is small enough to stick on n sd card and play on pocket pc, using the player called betaplayer..
since people like to share stuff here, i wondered if i am allowed to put this on the ftp site......... its a brilliant film and perfect quality, anyone interested and am i allowed to put it there??? 8)
by the way, the whole movie is 240 mb in size just small enough to fit on a 256mb sd card
I don't think this is the right kind of forum for videos! This is something that would surely draw attention to the board and get it closed down by the RIAA etc!!!
There are many other ways to distribute that kind of media illegally please don't leave it on our FTP site.

also if you have divx /xvid/mpeg/avi video files, you can use a program called PocketDivXEncoder 0.3.50, you can customise this to whatever size, format, length, for all types of devices too.... 8)

I just upgraded to Windows Mobile VI - Black Edition 2.0 and since then there is no light on the keyboard whatever I do.
Is there any way to fix this ?

It is now working but only when I press some key.
Is it possible to set it up so that it starts when ever i open the keyboard like it used to on wm5 ?
the keyboard lights up when the sensor detects low light. The other mode which if you disabled this function, doesn't light up. The sensor is at the right hand uppermost corner.

anyway, I had a similar problem...and of the two settings 'power' and 'backlight'...you need to play with combos that leave the keyboard lights on pullout...but don't let the device come on and stay on.
I forget but I have 3 of the 4 options on and one off that does the trick.

i wouldn't flame the guy who helped create the rom you are questioning about. notice at top of forum it says read before posting...try it, it works

but i think there would have to be a way of stopping people posting any questions about the ROM or software otherwise the thread will turn into a messy ROM&CAB bank/Support thread!
Also if you can only post 5 attachments on each post, so unless you are going to upload CABs to Rapidshare (or whatever the you use) and then provide weblinks.
Also i would consider not using Rapidshare because once you download a ROM from it you get banned from download for 30-120 mins depending on the network traffic at the time, i think you should consider using SENDSPACE, MEGAUPLOAD, THERE IS LOADS MORE UNLIMITED ONES HERE
Last point, think the thread should only have your Posts on it, cantact a MOD with the idea and ask them if it is possable

if you truly want to do something for WM community, don't waste your time on yet another home screen or shell replacement. We have plenty of those already.
Create a framework so that other developers could code apps around. Make that framework flexible, look good, light and fast. Maybe even extend .NETCF35 with a new UI widgets.

TOTALLY agree with that. I compared it in another thread with going to a muscle car forum and asking them to make an Acura Integra section.

Set it to 1.

To be fair a proportion of noobs seem to have come from the Iphone, where their world is protected and everything is safe, to windows mobile which is an entirely different proposition. Unless you realise up front that you have to put in some work to tune your device then I guess we will continue to get these "registry" questions.
I also guess that's where some (not me) might claim that winmobile devices are not quite as noob/mr & mrs average friendly as other devices.
Anyway glad you got that load off your chest.

PS: The way I see it the more we help these iphone (and others) converts and the more they get good use out of their devices, the more they will spread the word that winmobile is where its at and is a good place to be. Ooh I feel all evangelical and spiritual now..

Why is it that everyone who buys a new iPhone feels the need to start a new thread to announce to all of us that don't care , that they are leaving Windows Mobile and moving to the iPhone , And then they list all the really important " business " reasons for the switch, like I can't surf you tube fast enough.
