Hi
I've bought a Jabra BT800 today and paired it with my Telecom Harrier(New Zealand).
I can hear the person talking but it seems like the mic on the headset is not working.
Person on the other side can't hear[No sound at all, a bit for crackling noise though] what I am saying but I can hear them clearly.
And when I check the Active connections [Bluetooth Manager], I have a outgoing connection but no incoming connections. And also the signal strength varies from Green to Red constantly. 3s green and 1s red.
Tap & hold -> Status = I get a signal strength "Just right" all the time.
Has anyone experienced something like this before?
Here's the device info :
PH20A2 A 2 WWE E 54450001 1.35.00 0 0 1.35.117 HA01_141
I have updated to BT3900 but still the same.
Please Help!!!!!
Upgraded to 2.03 and still not working.
I had the same problem with the Motorola HS801,
so I got one of the " Force Ultralight Bluetooth Headset" from **** Smith, works fine.
the sound quality isnt quite as great, but hey the person at the other end can hear you!

Can the XDA2s phone be configured to produce loud audio so it can be used as a handsfree speakerphone? The audio from Fonix Voice Dialler is loud but as soon as a call connects it drops to telephone levels.

Yes, during the call, press and hold the green phone key for 2 secs.
I tend to dial the no, soon as it rings, press & hold green key for 2-3 secs till i can hear the ringing. Not bad too.
Thanks.

R O F L, so I have had my MDA3 for almost a year now and ALL THIS TIME I was thinking why in the world would MDA3 not have a speakerphone since my last H6315 (hp) had a neat little icon for speakerphone right by the "talk" button.
Thanks for posting this!!!!
This can also be achieved programatically
Here is an article:

as far as I know all MS smartphones and pdaphones have all had this same functionality since the release of WM 2002
Actually the speakerphone is very device dependent. So we should be more concerned on the features HTC has to offer then Microsoft.
Still speakerphone is a must, so i doubt that it wouldnt be included on a phone-capable device.
Hi,
About seven days ago, the sound of my phone (mic and speaker) disappeared completely (ringtone and beeps etc. are still working). When I call someone, or I am being called I hear nothing. Neither does the other side.
Strange thing is:
- the phone-sound DOES work through my bluetooth headset (so I CAN make/receives calls, using the set)
- the phone-sound DOES work through the device itself when it is on external power! The moment I disconnect the external power, the sound (from mic and speaker) disappeares.
Other strang thing: when I press some (software) buttons in de phone application during the call, the beeps can be heared on the other side (so I can send you an SOS !).
Someone any ideas?
Or do I just have to send it in for repair?
(Allready tried:
- soft reset
- hard reset
- turn bluetooth on/off/on
- downgrade to former ROM (from 1.40 back to 1.22)
)
Thank you in advance,
Frank
I have roughly the same problem with my old jam.Since I have got a vpa but would still like to get my jam working. My problem is that I can't hear them, they can hear me though, but when i put speaker phone on i can hear them fine. All other sounds work fine and tones etc just speaking on the phone without loudspeaker on....funny
In my case, I can't hear them, and they can't hear me.
AND: the speakerphone doesn't work.
The speakerphone DOES work when my phone is on external power.
It seems our problems are slightly different.
Dont flame me if i am wrong and teaching you to suck sour eggs, but in the phone app under handfree preferences have you got the use headset option checked? if so is it not purely that the voice is going to you BT headset as it is in range whilst you yoursellf are not realising this is the case?
just a thought as from the syptoms you describe this looks like the most likely reason.
but feel free to tell me it aint so
Hi there,
I got a short question here. First my Data from the Bootscreen of my BlueAngel QTek/MDAIII of T-Mobile here in Germany.
R 1.15.00
G 1337.45
D 5.60.00 WWE (Helmis WM6)
The problem is whenever I talk to someone I can hear hin clearly and perfect. But I have to scream in the microphone of the Blue Angel like I'm some weird guy. This problem was also there as I got that thing with WM2003SE on it.
Is there an option in WM6 to get the microphone (except for that agc option) correctly to work or is this a "feature"
Yeah, I have the same question. My microphone doesn´t work properly and I look pretty stupid when I have to shout all the time I´m calling someone. Is there any possibility to solve this problem through registry??
I gave my father my xda2s some years ago and he doesn't use it as a phone because of the mic problem. He's tried re-drilling the hole by the mic (next to the reset button), having removed the case first but it's still not loud enough for the caller to hear him.
It doesn't seem to be a bug as whatever the circumstances the mic pickup is low.
It works fine when using the headset/mic so it must be to do with the mic module itself.
If anyone has had similar problems or has a fix, please post it asap.
thanks
I have a Samung BT earpiece HM 1500. When I receive a call, the voice of the caller comes out of the earpiece & the phone simultaneously, & ofcourse it'd be so low on both. I then disable BT on the dialer & re-enable it, then the voice comes out of the earpiece only & in great quality. The same thing happens when I connect the phone to my car BT set aswell, so the issue is related to the phone & not the BT sets.
Any solution to this ?
Ok....so it is video caller id that was doing the mess....removed it.....everything back to normal
Hi everyone,
2 weeks ago I retired my Galaxy S1 and upgraded to a P6. I love a lot about it, and now with the european P125 upgrade, the wifi connectivity issues seem to be resolved as well.
But one issue still seems to come up:
When I have headphones without a mic connected (in my case, Sennheiser HD-25-1), the call quality as perceived by the recipient is horrible when there is ambient noise present (for example in a bus).
So, whenever I listen to music and I receive a call - when I don't disconnect my headphones and use my P6 like usual, I hear the other person just fine, but he hears the ambient noise much much louder than usual.
When I disconnect the headphones, everything is back to normal.
This wasn't the case with my old SGS...
So I did a few experiments:
- Without ambient noise, the recipient doesn't notice much of a difference whether I use headphones or not
- With ambient noise (simulated by loud radio), when I don't use headphones, the other person hears me fine, much louder than the ambient.
- With ambient noise and connected headphones, my voice is as loud as the ambient noise, so the other person has big troubles understanding me
- Now, when I talk to the *top* of the P6 (right next to the USB port) into the mic that is used to filter out ambient noise during calling, my voice is *louder* than before - so at least that is a small workaround to that
So it seems to me, that when I connect headphones, the upper mic is used only, while without connected headphones, the lower mic is used as primary mic and the upper one is used just for filtering out ambient.
Anyway, it's doing something that I don't want it to do and now I wonder if I can change it
(By the way, I tried with 3 different headphones, doesn't make a difference).
I have a P6 that used to have B606 and now has B125 and it behaved the same for both software versions.
Soooo.. any clues?
regards,
-taurui

Go to Settings/Sound/Dolby Digital Plus and uncheck it. See if that helps.
It's already unchecked... :/
I have noticed the same problem...
very annoying...
