I think its called STK but not sure. now i have two sim cards in my m2000. what i would like to do is change between them without having to switch off the radio.for some reason my phone soft resets quicker than when you switch off and on the radio. if only i could select which one i would like to use it would be great. unless of course there is a way to transfer all my messages and texts to one of the numbers .i know you can divert calls but orange charge for that and even so text messages arent diverted.

Have only had my Xda11s for a week and am very pleased with it except for voicemail notification.
I like to get straight back to customers who leave voicemails, but unlike my old Nokia phone which used to leave both a text message AND phone me back several times, my Xda11s has only been leaving text messages which if I am driving, I do not always notice.
I have been into the 901 options and selected "Voice notification" now I get nothing back at all to tell me somebody has left a message (tried it by leaving a message myself).
Any one have any bright ideas why this is or how I can get both a text message and a phone call back from 901 please?
Sorry to answer myself, but having left a second messgae to myself, voicemail did phone back so perhaps it takes 5 or 10 minutes to activate itself.
No text message though, so I presume you can only have one or the other with O2 on Xda's?
Does anybody know if you can have both?
I'm no expert as I don't use voice-mail, but such features are network dependant. In other words, it's the network (O2 or whoever) that calls you back or sends a text, not the phone. The phone merely allows you to change the settings without calling your network provider. If it isn't allowing you to set it up as you wish, you have two options.
One, read your network guide where there will be a list of commands you can use via your phone to change settings (often in the form *# Number number #) or
Two, phone your network provider and ask someone to set up your account to do this for you.
Acer DX900 question: Does anyone know how "Dialing" is acually handled in a WM phone.
Ok, the Acer DX900 is great, but the way it deals with dual SIMs suck.
I have been reading everything I could find, I have tried numerous ROM versions, from 6.1 to 6.5.3, none of them deal with the dual sims correctly. I have tried SPD dialer 1 through 3, and they all suck the same.
My question is: When a normal WM phone dials (be it from the keypad or from contacts) is there a specific .exe or .dll that that request is passed off to?
I mean does pressing dial in a dialer.exe actually just pass it like: [ Rundll32.exe dialer.dll "06221348232" ] And dialer.dll actually does the dialing?
The reason I ask is that it will continue to be a problem for owners of dual sim phones to get/buy/ask/build custom dialers for them, and if we just simply stopped looking for them and just used the dialers already out there, but renamed the dialer.dll to say olddialer.dll and replaced the dialer.dll with a .dll that took the variables passed to it (ie. the phone number), prompted us with a pop-up that only asked which sim we wanted to send it to, and then set that SIM active, and resent the variables to the original olddialer.dll. Like a Samsung DOUS phone does.
I hope the dialer scenario works like I described, if it does, I'll figure out a way to write it.
It would let us use EVERY dialer out there, not just that custom SPD 2 build.
We would continue to need the sim2 support files for incoming calls and such, which all work ok, with the exception of the dialers.
If no one knows, can someone at least point me to a link for hacking the SPD dialer, so I can try to fix that stupid Mobile, Open, Back, screen with the two blank buttons in the 1-finger dial app. Why they didn't put a SIM1 and SIM2 there, I'll never know.
It's a lot lower down into the bowels of the device than the example above.
The routine that does the actual calling is the Telephony API, referred to as TAPI

So I got 4.1 running on my Gnex (EaglesBlood) and it has been working just fine as long as I remember. Now all of the sudden I'm not able to call my girlfriend anymore, she can call me and I can text her. We also tried switching phones and with my sim card in her phone I was able to call her and with her sim card in my Gnex she was able to call me.
So it doesn't look like its the sim cards or my carriers fault, but it still doesn't make any sense why my gnex refuses to dial just one number, all other work fine, it's just that one number that I cant call, it just starts to beep rapidly.
So far I tried the following:
Calling the same number from another phone with my sim [WORKS]
Deleting all contact info to that number [DIDN'T HELP]
Downloaded another dialer from play store [DIDN'T HELP]
Removed battery and restarted phone [DIDN'T HELP]
Clearing app data for Phone.apk [DIDN'T HELP]
I don't want to reflash the ROM since it's so outdated and I'm just waiting for a more stable release of PA, but there has to be something that can be done, it's just stupid that there is that one number that I can't call and it happens to be the most used one too
Hmmm, are you sure your number is not blocked in her phone by mistake? I am just guessing that this is the case so whenever you call, her phone rejects your number.
I'll have to find out about that, why the hell didn't I think of that, always just assumed that the problem was on my end.
Hi guys
I'm using 2 sims (one personal and one for work)
For me it's crucial to know from which sim am I getting call right now (for new numbers that are not in my contact list)
Thу problem is that in MIUI ROM you can't assign color to a sim card, so the only way to know which sim card is receiving call is a small icon with sim number. Even in a normal state it's to hard to see the number. It gets ten times harder while driving, for example. In AOSP there is an option to assign a color to a sim card so when i am getting a call from specific sim the call screen is colored by the sim color.
The question is, how can I change the dialer of MIUI to a standard AOSP dialer?
I also have tried another ROMs, like resurrect - this is very good but I lack the "dual apps" from MIUI. I tried different "dual apps" solutions from the play market but they all are just bad and can't be compared to MIUI dual apps (for example in whatsapp - where i need to whatsapp account to run simultaneously)
This is pretty interesting. If it's possible to change the default dialer/contacts, how would one go about it? Also, what dialer app would you folks recommend?
Hi, I think the easiest solution for you is just need to setup different ringtone for each SIM

For me it's not a solution, as most of the time my phone is on vibration (to not disturb my wife or other people on the meetings)

Nope, it doesn't help - on incoming calls it's the same.
First of all change ur dual SIM name, Suppose A & B, now u can easily check which sim is receiving call from another no. Incoming call, miss call, everthing
Not sure how many people out there got eSIM working with AT&T on their Fold 3. But 2 or so weeks ago I went into AT&T and got them to get eSIM working on my Fold 3. It's been working great till recently. I think it might have been with adding a 2nd line (Tello).
SIM1 = Tello
eSIM = AT&T
right now Tello works great. AT&T... I can get Text and data but I can't make any phone calls or receive any phone calls. Anyone else using the DUAL setup?? I went in to get a new eSIM and same thing. Can't make or receive call but I can text and receive text and get data.
I have removed the Tello Sim card for good measure. Rebooting a good dozen times and no matter what I can't get AT&T to dial out or get calls.
Any ideas??
Honestly sounds like the esim from att wasn't provisioned correctly. I'd try to get them to remove it from their system and readd it

i was warned about this scenario by an ATT Manager; he said that the physical sim had to be an ATT sim. i have an unlocked ATT Z Fold 3, however, i haven't tried using another carrier's sim/esim. I also have a network unlocked, ATT S22U with a T-Mobile eSim and an ATT physical sim. phone calls and text msgs work fine, as long as i use Samsung Messages (no the Google version). if i use Google's version of messages, group chats don't always work.
I have an unlocked fold 3 and use a Google Fi physical sim, and had a GSMA (AT&T) eSIM with Red Pocket. Both worked perfectly fine with no problems. Phone calls, texts and data were flawless on both networks.
Google Messages does have an issue it with dual sim. For example while connected to the mobile network if your preferred sim is set to the physical sim, but you try to send an mms with the number associated with the eSIM you will have to switch to the eSIM to send it. Chat messages are effected the same way. Text messages don't seem to be impacted that I have encountered. Receiving messages seems to be effected in the same manner. Google Messages works normally when connected to WiFi and using RCS Chat
Since we can only have one data connection active on one sim at the same time, Google Messages gets weird about it. The issue is not present with Samsung Messages or Textra. Until Google updates the Messages app to fix the issue you will have to either change the preferred sim back and forth, use RCS on WiFi only, use Samsung Messages or use another 3rd party messaging app that has dual sim properly working.
Also be aware changing the preferred sim will also make it the default for messaging and phone calls. For some reason we lack the setting to specify which sim for calling and messaging. So if your eSIM is the primary number you use and switch to the physical sim, all your calls/messages will come from the physical sim. Using the shortcuts i mention below won't fully resolve this either. You can use an app like multi sim selector to help with the calling, but the messages you will have to be aware of what number your messaging from (sim 1 or sim 2) or the above suggestions.
@OP - Might be worth getting a hold of AT&T and asking them to make sure the eSIM is provisioned correctly on your (and AT&T) end. If it was working and then not it sounds like an AT&T issue.
I'm not sure if this applies here, but I've read a few comments on the AT&T forums AT&T prepaid doesn't play well with eSIM. I can't verify that to be true or not since I don't have the prepaid service through AT&T.
Meanwhile make sure you have set the eSIM up properly in the sim card manager. At first my eSIM did not have the APN selected as active, I had to manaually mark it as such... Secondly does the call/text issue occur when the eSIM is set as the primary sim? If so go through and double check the sim card manager settings so you have DSDS enabled.
You might want to get an app like Quick Shortcut Maker and look for "Mobile Network".. There are a few sim manager settings that might help resolve some issues your having. I attached an image to help find the shortcuts.
