Dialer without Last Call Info? - MDA III, XDA III, PDA2k, 9090 General

Hi Everyone....
I am having PDA2K.... Every time I activate phone dialer it comes up with the last call info... If by mistake you press the green button twice to activate the dialer it automatically dials the last call...
Is there any way to disable this option?.. So that when ever I open the dialer it opens without Last call... Dont we know we can get the last call from the call history also if we want?...
I hope someone have answer for this one... I am not an expert still I feel there is some way in with Registry...
Thanks in Advance...

Cannot answer call

For some reason I can no longer answer an incoming call on my O2 Orbit (Artemis HTC3300)
The phone rings and pops up with call details. I hit green key or answer on screen and it just keeps ringing.
Has anyone else had this problem. The phone call is picked up by my service provider (O2) providing they leave a message. It is almost as if I have mistakenly set something to 'never answer'. The only thing I can think I changed was when I set to auto answer after 1 ring (when in the car) but I have reset this and unchecked it.
Help appreciated as it is useless as a phone now !
Thanks
Have you've tried to HARD-reset your phone, and tested it then?
Otherwise there might be an issue with your rom.
That's my 10 cents.
I have the same problem but not every time. 70% of the time a call comes in and I answer with either green hard button or screen button and the call just dies. I then end up with a missed call which I then have to return. My outgoing call usage has gone way up since I got this handset because I end up calling everyone back !
i have this same problem it will answer 70% of the time has anyone got any suggestions thanks
reflashing radio/updating radio may resolve this

You've written the solution for your problem. If you never use slide2unlock just uninstall it. That's causing your problem...
Problem solved, thanks.
I now have a similar problem, but it started after i uninstalled slide to unlock ..
with S2U i used fullscreen callerID ( built in the program - i used version 1.0 )
when someone calls, my phone rings but stays at the password ( numeric ) screen.
is there a registry key to fix this
??

WM6.1 official rom upgrade - call history / call log filter bug in today screen

Hey all,
Im a long time user of the forums but havent posted anything yet. Anyway, ive been seeing this issue on some other forums and after massive searching cant find a fix.
I just got the official upgrade to WM6.1 on my sprint HTC Touch. PRIOR to 6.1 the "main" today screen showed a missed calls link (icon is a phone with a "!"), which by default listed an entire call history - missed calls, received calls, and outgoing calls. AFTER upgrading to 6.1 the same button now only lists missed calls. there is a menu button which contains a filter, and the ability to switch to "all calls". the only problem is, this filter doesnt stick. after closing it and reopening it reverts back to only showing missed calls. This is a huge pain in my arse as I used that button almost every time i use my phone. (redials, sending texts, getting numbers, etc)
As far as my options on alternatives goes, this is what I know:
1. I know you can open the "phone" dial screen and access a full call history. (this is ok, but I really want a quick one touch access!)
2. I found the callhistory.exe floating around on here, got it set up in my programs and mapped it to the camera softkey. (also a pain because I had all my soft keys mapped to other things, and i tend to hold my phone in my right hand making it annoying to hit)
I would really LOVE to know if there is a way to get that "missed calls" key on the today screen to show the entire call history like it used to do!!!!! (or at least add/change another button on the main today screen to access call history)
I may just be screwed, but if anyone can figure it out I know xda-devs can. Any help would be appreciated.
p.s. If other people are seeing this thread and are in the same spot, and want to know how to set up callhistory.exe to map to a softkey let me know, and ill post those details on that temporary alternative.

I have the same problem on my Xperia. Does anyone have a solution?
Why dont you try this little app, dont remember where i got it from but very handy. It creates a short cut for your call history in the Programs section.Hope this helps.
has anyone come up with solution for this annoying bug that filter selection in Call History from Today screen does not stick and defaults to Missed Calls only?

Confirmation before making a new call

Hi all,
I wanted to ask you if there is any way to get some kind of confirmation before making a new phone call. It happens to me quite often that I tap accidentally on contact in HTC phone dialer (or sometimes it does the same when my PDA wakes up in my pocket) and it will start to dial the number immediately. I like the way how original MS dialer is doing it - it will at least display a window with contact information where you can select between different phone numbers. I know how to change the phone skin to MS dialer, but when using MS dialer sking you are not able to adjust phone volume when call is established.
Do you have any tips and trick how to avoid accidental calls?
Thx!
Why don't you just keep your handset locked?
Long press of call end key

Trying to make titanium links do what *I* think they should...

Excerpt from a PM sent to FCW from me....
One quick question though... Why is it on EVERY SINGLE titanium rom does touching "phone" on the titanium list show the last missed call, but then you'd think touching it again would show you those calls, but instead it shows you the dang dialer?
That just doesn't make sense. You'd think it would do like what the right soft key does (view).
Yes, it says "phone" on the titanium screen, but I can press the green button to bring up the dialer which is way easier to do, (and gets MUCH less use than the previous calls log ((dialing is kinda touchy))). Instead of saying "phone" in titanium, it should say "Call List" and offer what the view button does. I don't know how many times a day I peck the phone button on titanium then have to fumble for the right soft key to get to the recent calls log.
I think if you were to implement this feature, the WHOLE developer community would follow suit.
BTW all, I've tried editing the Titanium_240x320.cpr whatever files. I can change the link names, but not what they do.
Any ideas?
Nonsense...
Touch it to bring up the phone and call the first contact wit a lil red arrow saying HEY this contact calls you and you didnt answer call it back!!!!
or Just--- HEY a missed cal you say, i dont wnat to call right now so i just gonna tap in the softkey view and then close the missed calls screen....
If that is the meaning of change the tap app... just remove the buttons on your hermes.
