Hello Gurus,
I've been searching :shock: all over this forum and the net for the MMS configuration for the China Mobile network.
I have been able to set up the GPRS but am unsucessful with configuring the MMS.
Anyhow help would be greatly appreciated.

I finally resolved this after a long time. First you have to set up the connection to go to "cmwap", not "cmnet" and configure the proxy settings (there is another thread in xda-developers on this: http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=338810), then you need to configure the MMS mailbox. Open Messaging and choose Tools->Options from the menu. On the list of mailboxes, click on MMS. This opens the configuration. Click the Servers tab and then the New button. Server name is whatever you want, Gateway is 10.0.0.172 (same as proxy), port is 9201 (WAP), Server Address is http://mmmc.monternet.com. The "Connect via" should be the one you already created, then change the WAP version to 1.2. Save this and then on the next screen click on the new name and click on the "Set as Default" button.
Things should now work fine.
I have an XDA IIs - I have been using it for a few months and today my text section in my outlook is gone. The email account and MMS are there but the text entry is gone. I cannot send or receive texts. Any idea how to get it back short of a full reset and reinstall? Thanks
Can anyone tell me how to access the MMS settings on WM6 B&B3 please as by default it tries to send MMS by Mobile Web, not O2 WAP so the message fails.
OK, found the settings.
I might even try ripping the O2 network setup program from the original ROM.
hi i have imate jasjam, and i downloaded the telstra rom provided by HTC, as that is the only i found available online. all is working great. except one problem. in my mobile outlook, i have 2 different mailboxes for SMS and MMS, where in windows 6, it should be combined, which my other HTC TYTN II has, i tried all the options but cannot see the work around.
so basically problem is that i dont want the MMS option in the poutlook, so when i navigate to multiple mailboxes, i see outlook, windows live, my pop3 account, mms, sms [both seprate instead of combined] which is the the new feature of windows 6 which should have MMS / SMS mailbox combined.
your early help will be appreciated.
please guide me how do i found a work around for the same.

Guys,
Been trying to set my Desire's mms, with no luck. The setting is known, as follow:
APN: mms
User name: wap
Password: wap123
http://mms.telkomsel.com --> ?
10.1.89.150 --> ?
Port: 8000
That's it. Seems self explained, but I can't make it work
Questions:
- on which section I should put each setting?
- should it be separate APN with the internet? (i tried to combine it with APN internet, but then the internet doesn't work)
- how to connect mms APN to be used with mms program?
PS. This is old sim card, means the setting works on my Nokia E71 and the card mms feature has been activated..
Any helps are appreciated...

yes you need a seperate profile for internet and mms, make sure you enter the info in the mms fields (eg, mms port, mms proxy, mms protocol ect), and all you have to do to make sure other programs knows this is your mms profile, at the bottom of the screen it says apn type, just set that to mms
Hmm, still unable the same "generic network failure"
