my Desire can not connect to my Laptop's wifi .
But my ipod touch can do it !
My configuration of Wifi was correct. because the ipod touch 3 can also use the internet sharing.
but the Desire can not even find the wifi's name.
Is there anyboy can help me?
My laptop is DELL D630 and OS is WIN7
I think you can use connectify for that... there seems to be no ad hoc support for desire atm. Not sure though.

the Desire doesn't support Adhoc networks out of stock, you need a patch for that.

That won't work. Desire doesn't have a Texas Instruments wifi chip (the 'ti' in the tiwlan.ini).
Cyanogen does have a fix coming (IIRC) but not in any build yet.
it is done. thanks a lot. i use connectify ,my laptop support this software. it is perfect. thanks again

Works fine if you use ifconfig/iwconfig. Skip the tiwlan config. check my earlier post.
this is just proof that Apple products 'just works', more user friendly and superior to HTC garbage
Just joking. You can lower the pitchforks now.

Although connectify works for you, it's not the real solution since only wifi cards in laptops/desktop that support the hostap mode (i.e. turning the card into an access point) will work. A lot of the intel cards don't support connectify.
The real solution is for google to fix the codebase which is in progress to support ad-hoc networks. It's surprising that this was not a default 'feature' in the codebase. It's rumored that Gingerbread will have it supported.

Hi I found an app that makes your desire connect to ad hocs. It's an APK. Haven't tried it yet though:

File Manager would be nice as well as app multitasking.

some i agree with and some just give it up... or dont buy. like expanded storage that can be removed you most likly if you are apart of xda flash your phone at lease once a month when there is a new rom so this is not what you make it to be. the thing is msft has moved to the future of storage try to do the same...

Lol. That seems like a step backwards imo. Now, if you had the ability to remove your sd card and put it in other things (like it was made for) without having to wipe your phone while also still having gigs of data onboard, that would be the future of storage (even though other phones do that already.)

Microsoft won't be able to allow switching of memory cards now that they have chosen to go down this route. (Unless they release an upgrade that forces everyone to hard reset their devices) This is a problem wp7 users will always be stuck with.
Sounds like WM would be a better fit rather than WP7.

Hmmm, WM6x on a W7 device, I wonder if anyone will try doing that. I'd keep my old i900 if I could fit a 1GHZ chip in it, just to give it a bit more pep.(I'm easily pleased where my phone in concerned )

Why to have bluetooth if not for that?
Why to waste such development?

Where Are Mouse Cursors Stored?
The cursor is quite small and I would like to use a larger one - does anyone know where the cursors are stored on the A100?

Haha, treu that! Never trust compatibility with Apple, cuz, there is none...
You need your A100 rooted in order to check where it is. I am currently to lazy but to look it up.

It sure will! I am using the Logitech Bluetooth Keyboard for Android, and it works great.

Just tested here on my Iconia Tab A100 with ICS and it works perfectly!
Thank for the info
I get heavy stutter with the Logitech Android BT keyboard and the V470 when using at the same time with HDMI display. Really disappointing.

can i ask what mean is OTG?see many people say it and dont no what means~
Good thing you're not asking about "will USB OTG supported in our device?"
According to Wikipedia (which actually you have to search regarding to Rule 1 *unless if you are too lazy to search for it*)
USB On-The-Go, often abbreviated USB OTG or just OTG, is a specification that allows USB devices such as digital audio players or mobile phones to act as a host, allowing other USB devices like a USB flash drive, mouse, or keyboard to be attached to them.
So, you can make your device as a host (like a computer) and if you attach something to your phone, it will be read as external partition. (CMIIW, as this is what I got)

Well at first they said it will never work because the lack of drivers *CMIIW, as this is what I got* especially on 2.6.35, but now we have some new drivers *again, CMIIW. I don't get much information on this* (and also helps from our comrades from I9001 (S+) and SGH-T679 (Exhibit 4G)) so, we made it, even if it requires External Power.
Just tried with CyanogenMod 9 RC7. It doesn't work neither with 3.0 kernel.

Did you use USB External Power? Also, what did you insert? (p.s. NTFS isn't supported for OTG)

It's only works with CM10 Alpha 7, because Arco implemented it. See link below how to setup.

Xperia NXT v1.3 Supports HID Devices...
i own an Nokia Su-8w Keyboard and using Cyanogenmod 9.1 but its very unstable to me to rely on to colege... so i wish to know if this rom supports it or if there is an software to use it, ive tried: Bluez IME, and Keyboard Easy Connect, but the first doesn't has support to many of the Keys, and the other uses superuser and keeps popping out with the info that the SU has given permissions and that stuf, realy annoying.
thanks, to anyone who reads and reply !
As far as I know the xperia play doesnt support hid devices. I can confirm bluetooth does work with the xperia play btw. HID is a hardware issue not software.

well in fact isn't a hardware problem 'cause i've been using it in cyanogenmod 9.1 and it work in native way without any piece of additional software, and in stock rom either .47 .58 .62 with BluezIME and or Bluetooth Keyboard easy connect, but they doesn't work so well as the native cyanogenmod 9.1 does.
