Has any one tried out this site at all?
http://www.smartphone.roodyn.com/SMS Utils/SMSUtils.aspx
I use the SMS Utils program to send and recieve TXT when I am at home and my M2000 is sitting in the charger.
Brilliant piece of software!
Also it might be worth a look at:
www.coolsmartphone.com
They have news and info with regard to SPV all the time.

Same with the PDA2k which has KSE Truefax 2.09 pre-installed.
Sending faxes: although it mentions an error, the fax on the receiving end is fine.

Hi guys....
I have XDA2s and have been sending and receiving faxes without error.
I too have a second number for my fax.. on thing I was told was that you cannot be using any other feature IE WAP OR PHONE AT THE SAME TIME (kind of made sense to me) mor importantly they did say that to recive a fax some people need to have area code settings for fax number.
Ie when people fax me instead of 0778xxxxxxx they need to send +4478xxxxxx or whatever.
probably of no use to you but at the same time if I dont offer what I know what are forums about.
Stay happy.........

Thank you for reading this.
You have rung Vodafone and asked them to enable your MMS option?
Yes Geoff but it is not a phone that they sell so they have not any settings to send

It is with great thanks that I send this message to you Jedi. Jerk you most certainly are not. I have tried out the answer to my problem but alas it did not work. The settings on the spv are just different enough to matter. Still thanks again.
I just got my O2 Atom Exec, buy facing problem since currently I'm using P910 and have a lot of important SMS inside it.
Is there anyway I can move or copy my SMS from P910 to O2?
Thanks!
I've just flashed my artemis with SEA HTC rom. I like WM6, much more stable and organised.
Most of all though I'm really glad to get shot of all that O2 branding and sh*tware.
My wife has a Trinity and I flashed hers too with AX3Ls Rom. It comes with this great Tweak software that allows you to set up SMS delivery reports, something I miss from my old Nokia days.
Is there a place I can get this tweak, or an equivalent one for the Artemis/3300/Orbit?
Thanks, Andy
Are you on O2UK?
yep -
I've just found a way of setting the delivery reports in the menu.
Doh!
You still won't get them, O2 does not support them in that way.
You have to start your message with *0# then you will get a free message back from O2 notifying you of delivery.
yeah I read that before and its a pain in the ass... has no-one come up with a fix where if delivery reports is selected then start all new SMS's with *0# ??
also that prefix does not work when replying to a message either. only when sending a new blank text
I have flashed my SPV M5000 with the latest Orange ROM, version 1.30.90.WWE on WM5. Don't know if it was missing before but now that I wanted to use MMS, I find that the option is missing in the accounts options. I do have an option to configure MMS and I can set a modem for Orange MMS, but if I try to switch from TEXT or OUTLOOK to MMS, the MMS option is just not there. Suspecting a registry problem I looked through the registry but cannot see anything obvious, although I am no expert on the M5000 registry. Can anyone please help me or give me the correct registry settings I should be looking for? Everything else works fine including email and Wi-Fi, although the finding the locations for the settings is not very friendly. Orange so fare have been useless - they confirm all my GPRS & MMS settings are correct amd also sent a SIM update to make sure they were. I am now waiting for Orange technical to come back to me, but I think you guys probably know more. Soft and hard resets do not make the MMS option appear. Richard B.
No MMS on Orange SPV M5000 resolved.
O.K. - after a lot of discussion with non-technical types belonging to Orange who tried to talk about technical issues in a three way conversation between I suspect India, Darlington and N.Wales and eventually being allowed to talk directly to their real engineers, I was told that this issue had been seen several times and that they did not really know why it happened as it happened intermitently. Having given up on Orange's extremely poor customer service, I gave the M5000 one last chance and burned the ROM for the 4th time. This time instead of using my main PC, I used my laptop and ensured that the USB cable was direct, also stopping anti-virus and all background programs except for the O.S. BINGO! The MMS appeared after hard reset. Why did I bother ringing Orange in the first place?
