i lost my styli for my i-mate pda2k, anyone knows if xda II's styli is same size with pda2k?
The XDAIIs is the same as a Orange SPV M2000, MDA III, iMate pda2k etc etc... all are HTC Blue Angel. Each carrier brands them differently.
hi i hope i am posting this in the rigth place i got a orange spv m500 that need a new case as my one was dropped. The phone still working fine just need a case . I have been looking on ebay thay not got many case for my svp m500. And i see case for O2 XDA II Mini/Qtek s100/i-Mate JAM so i am just seeing if O2 XDA II Mini/Qtek s100/i-Mate JAM case housing would fit my spv m500 and if so how thanks :shock: :?:

It will work if you get the imate JAM casing but the IMEI plate will not quite fit correctly in the battery holder as the jam casings has extra locating tabs - I've only ever converted them the other way ( from jam to m500 ) and that requires some tin snips to make the imei plate fit. I have the m500 casings here:

Exactly how similar are all the models based on the Universal platform?
In particular, will the stylus for one model fit snuggly in all other models?
As far as I can tell, the following is the full list of models based on the platform, is this correct/complete?
* Dopod 900
* Qtek 9000
* T-Mobile MDA Pro
* I-mate JASJAR
* O2 Xda Exec
* SPV M5000

Yes mate, as far as I can tell. The HTC universal has only one chassis so only one type of stick. The other differencs are mainly cosmetic and software, however there appears to have been a chipset change during manufacture. I believe this was for supply reasons, not performance (can anyone else confirm/deny).

I'm not sure you can even count the original stylus that comes with the device as fitting snuggly. The one with my JasJar was always loose and falling out. I found a better stylus though, the Styra pen and stylus combo, which I got from Boxwave.

It fits much better than the original stylus. I've rarely used the pen, but it's worth having the stylus fit more snuggly.

I found that my original stylus started to become loose and eventuallly it dropped out. My replacement stylus suffered the same bobble, but wrapping sellotape around it a couple of times ensures its now a snug fit
