is that the one in the XDA IIs devices?? I need the O2 Active in the XDA IIs device
I believe it is for XDA IIs. I thought Active only became available for XDA IIs. Do a full backup first and then install to be sure.
I installed it on my SPV-M1000 and was fine.
Chris
can anyone confirm that this will in fact work properly with an OS XDA IIs? Thanks in advance!
Dave
this is not for the XDA IIs...the one for the XDA IIs is with the battery meter on the right side...can anyone post the O2 Active for the XDA IIs please??

Hi guys. Lately I seem to be going paranoid, so here is a question for you all. How safe are my personal files, pictures, keepass databases etc if they are located on the sd card of my desire which is always connected to the internet? Could someone hack into my phone and download them?
Thanks for your time.

The answer is no. To get hacked you have to be stupid and purposefully do it or get a virus on your phone.

They should not be able to do that unless u somehow got a virus onto your phone.

Thanks for the responses guys! The question that begs to be asked now, is what anti-virus / anti-trojan you would recommend?
Is it avgfree or lookout? Or is there some other choice?
Thanks once again!
Best AntiVirus is common sense.

Fizzerr is in fact correct. As long as you don't install any suspicious applications, that specifically have the permissions to access your SDcard and are specifically programmed to act as a virus and upload your data to the application author, then nothing could go wrong.

Hello all.
I am trying to find a site to create my own app for a website. I was able to create one using appsgeyser.com but that is more like a shortcut for the website. I am trying to make an app that is set up like the xda app. The website is a forum style. I am not asking anyone to make this for me or give me a step by step. Just a website that I can make it on. Or a website that will explain it. I have searched with out much luck. Any and all help is appreciated. Thanks.

Contact tapatalk. That's what xda uses as their base. Also contact forumrunner, another forum based app. Good luck to you.
tapatalk signature here. lovely.
Awesome thanks for the quick response.!

iVE USED APPS GEYSER AND ibuildapp both of which have online building and publishing, ibuildapp is more thorough lets you publish to android market and even generates the required keys
I've searched the xda pages on Captivate Glide for 5 days, now. No answer was to be found. So... What exactly is Android/Deng.bqh, that was found in an ICS update zip folder? And, why is it a potentially unwanted application?
P.S. If this in in the wrong location, please relocate.
I'm no expert, but, that file doesn't look like an application. Android apps are basically in .apk format.
As for what that file is, I have no clue

Thank you. I will just not install the ICS with this warning.
If you want to install ICS, I highly reccomend trying out SediRom. It is a customized version of ICS and runs wonderfully on my glide and pretty much everything works just like official

What file exactly inside the ICS udate zip?
Which ICS package exactly (stock, which one etc)?
And which AV program report that?
Greetings

Mae govannen,
Do forgive the delay in response, life happened. As I deleted the actual package, this is all the information I have, from my antivirus program...
The antivirus program is "AVG".
The ICS package is "UCLJ3-ATT-NEW.zip".
The full path of the file is ~ "UCLJ3-ATT-NEW.zip:\system\app\wssyncmlnps.apk:\classes.dex".
Blessed be

thx that answers everything.
The problem is the bloat app "wssyncmlnps.apk".
The reason why AVG reports that as a problem is that the mentioned app will listen to a tcp port when started (without asking for permission) and this could be used to do bad things. You can read the full report here (search for wssyncmlnps.apk within the PDF):
http://www.quarkslab.com/dl/Android-OEM-applications-insecurity-and-backdoors-without-permission.pdf
That is fixed by Samsung for the S3 for example but I think that it is not the case for the i927.
You should better choose a stock based custom ROM to avoid the above. e.g. sediROM or others, of course.
The reason is that here you have still all the stock base but such bloatware apps are removed. in sediROM e.g. the above file does not exist (feel free to scan it ).
Hope that helps you out (if so I'm happy for a thx click ).
