Sim problem after MDA II upgrade. - Upgrading, Modifying and Unlocking

I upgraded my MDAII ROM to 2.02.t1WWE and Radio 1.18.00 now i cannot use my sim card (i use Turkcell in Turkey) I tried to unlock with xdaunlock.exe but it says my phone is unlocked. Is there any way to use my sim card?

Not without unlocking your device.
I would say downgrade first. Unlock your device and upgrade again to W2k3Se

Unlocked MDA Vario says wrong or incorrect sim card

Hi,
I unlocked my MDA Vario with the tool which can be found on this forum.
At first everything seemed to be OK for one or two days. It accepted my "Base-simcard" and I could use the phone-function.
Since yesterday I frequently get a message which says there is no or a wrong or sim card inserted.
When I remove the sim card, replace it and start the Vario, everything works again.
Sometimes I just have to put the wizard off and on again and it's ok again.
This happened already a few times...
Does anyone know what causes this problem?
Is it possible that the unlocking tool doesn't do the job 100% right?
Or maybe T-Mobile inserted an extra check for non-T-Mobile sim cards in the ROM part?
Best regards,
Stoffel

How to check simlock/netlock

I have just bought an MDA Compact III (Artemis) with WM5 sold as unlocked. If I can use any SIM card and all nets, can I assume that it is superCID and proceed with WM6 flashing from microSD with any WM6 rom find in this forum?
No if i'm not mistaked simUnlocked and CID unlocked are different.
I had a CIDunlocked device but still needed to use the USLP method to flash my new ROM.
Read the sticky first post and download the required tools form here

Thanks for your quick reply. The PDA should be simunlocked and also netunlocked. CID unlocked is not the same as netunlocked?
Nope, it is not. NetLock is T-Mobile's very own name for SIMLock... All their devices come with NetLock now, which means they do not accept SIM cards other than T-Mobile. So if you have a net unlocked device, you can use it with any carrier, but it still may be CID Locked.
Thanks for your help. The PDA works with all SIM cards and al nets.
I will use the USLP method anyway.
hi mate! did you manage to flash your compact III with WM6? i want to upgrade mine as well but not sure what to do?

I've flashed my MDA Compact III successfully. (I've unlocked it previously through IMEIcheck.co.uk)
If your's is unlocked (Netlock, Simlock) than you should be able to flash it right away with 4.1. For the other ROMs I'm not shure, you should maybe run USPL first..
I also flashed my MDA Compact III With German O2 WM 6 ROM, but i also had it unlocked via Imei-check.co.uk, both CID and NETLock were Removed... Again, your Device might be free for any SIM Card, than it is NETunlocked but could still be CID Locked. So i would recommend you to run USPL first, before trying to install any ROM

HTC Artemis P3300 unlock..?

hi all ...
i really searched on forum...but no result..
is there any free solution to unlock this mda..?
thanx a lot...
Then you havent looked well. CID can be unlocked with free software (using ispl everytime you flash a new rom) but SIM unlock istnt available for free. Search the posts and youll find out.
device unlock is available just lock for pof's USPL
do you need sim unlock? i thought sim unlock is same as CID unlock!!!

CID is a country lock. SIM is an operator lock. Different stuff
CID-Lock locks the device to ROMs that are only from the same country.
e.g.: You have a German PDA which is CID Locked... The PDA will accept German ROMs, but it won't accept English ROMs.
SIM-Lock locks the device to one operator.
e.g.: You have a German T-Mobile PDA. Your phone will only accept German T-Mobile SIM cards. Sometimes it even matters if it's locked to a postpaid or prepaid card. (for example: older Vodafone NL phones which have been given with a contract won't accept Vodafone NL prepaid cards even though the MCC+MNC (service provider network code) of both operators are 20404.)

No service/SIM card not being registered

Hello.
I'm from Portugal and bought an HTC 10 wich is locked to T-Mobile.
Already got unlock code for it but i insert a portuguese network sim card and i never get the message to place the unlock code.
I checked the IMEI at T-Mobile website and it shows : Your device is blocked and will not work on T-Mobile’s network.
Already unlocked the bootloader and rooted the phone, thought that would be enough to overcome the T-Mobile app ( wich is to unlock the phone for the network ).
Any tips or comments on how i can solve this issue and use the phone with another sim card?
Thanks in advance
