I have some contacts which have multiple mobile numbers. as it stands now, i can only have one dedicated mobile number in the contact details. i would like to have as many as i want, so i can easily sms the additional numbers at any time i choose.
there are some useless (for me) types in there such as: pager, car tel, radio tel. there is everything BUT no Mobile Tel.
i want a Mobile Tel 2 and 3.
is this possible to modify?
i am using WM6 Black 2.0
no its not possible. take it or leave it.
no version to date can do it.
i'll take it thanks!
Inesoft Address Book
There's a pretty good program by Inesoft called Address Book. I've been using it for about a month (with WM6) and it works great. It will allow you to create custom fields in which to enter new names to store numbers under. So you should be able to create Mobile 1 and Mobile 2. It's not a free program though but they do offer a free trial. You can test it out and see what you think. Here's the link.

Will it sync wirelessly/OTA like the built in contacts app?
Jim
I've only tried it through activsync with bluetooth and USB and its worked well. From the looks of it, it seems like it will do everything that contacts did before.
not ideal but I just store there other numbers in any of the random fields left over. then to text them instead of just typing there name in the to section click to the left of it on he "To" and chose the contact from there, it'll let you pick any number

From that it sound's like it fully replaces contacts? Is that how it works because that would be good.. or if it extended the built in application that would be perfect...
I may have mis-understood though.. i guess what im asking is do you have to run a seperate contacts application or is it integrated into the messaging app etc to fully replace the built in contacts system?
Thanks,
Sam
Replaces
It fully replaces your contacts. It won't delete it from your device though. You can still uninstall and get your original contacts back. But through my use everything that I now do will go through address book. Even the softkey goes to the new application.
Hello...
I'm new at the xda-developers foruns and I need some help please.
I have the Artemis (HTC P3300 in Portugal) with Windows Mobile 6 from HTC.
Does anyone know where does the PDA stores the TXT, MMS and E-MAIL messages? Is any way to store this messages in the memory card?
Thanks in advance.
So... anyone...
Its possible to save messages (SMS, MMS and e-mails) on the memory card?!?!?!?
Thanks in advance.
Chill dude You can't set the messages to save onto a storage card, as far as i know, but if you are worried about attachments, you can set it to store attachments on the Storage Card. Messaging> Settings> Storage.
Hope this helps!
Before posting you'd better read the forum. Search for PIM Backup 2.5

Is there any linux por ppc?
there is a reg fix somewhere on the forum, i can't remember where it is. I'll try to find it again.
But they explained that the memory card was desactivated to save power when the phone is on sleep but that the main memory was active in order to recieve puseh emails.
I'll try to find that rag again.
One thing that I never got any answers is are mms considered pused mails?
saving mails to storage card
Never used for myself - just found in this thread
HKLM\System\Inbox\Settings
add "PropertyPath" value="\Storage Card\Mail" datatype="string"
and add "AttachPath" value="\Storage Card\Mail\Attachments" datatype="string"
cool,
but will this affect the downloads of mms?

Hi
I'm looking for some way to store the onenote files in the storage card instead of \Application Data\Microsoft\OneNote Mobile.
I looked in the registry but didn't find the setting or something that helps me
Anybody here has any solutions?
Is there a solution to this? My Onenotes are filling up the small 219MB of main memory and I'm getting memory full message on phone. Plenty of space on storage card, how can OneNote use storage card space instead of main memory?
cant you guys just copy the files in File Explorer and make a OneNote folder in the Storage card root? I don't know how you can have them saved on SD card by default, but I don't think copying them to the card is a big deal after you write a new note.
I'm using the HTC supplied WM6.5 and the OneNote Mobile offers no options to open files anywhere but the main memory. One can copy the notes to SD card to make space, but there is no way OneNote mobile can open them from that source even using file explorer and choosing OneNote as program to open file. It appears a limitation of OneNote.
I've asked HTC for their opinion, siince they sold the phone with OneNote and a small main memory size. No reply so far.
Got a reply from HTC who suggest a hard reset and not a mention of Microsoft or OneNote Mobile! Wtf, thanks.
Wow that's pretty messed up. Why on Earth would they suggest a hard reset? Sounds like the person you spoke with has no idea what it is that you're looking to do. I hope you find a solution to your query.
I don't know of this helps, but I use the "Notes" app located within Outlook. There you can set the program to save notes to the SD card and it saves a lot of room. I don't know if your current program is needed for your particular needs, but maybe you could try it?
Actually I replied to HTC and told them I did the hard reset and it didn't work. (I didn't actually do it as I know its a waste of time!). They are looking at it further and I'm waiting on reply with ticket still unclosed on my support question.
Basically I'm trying to get them to agree OneNote isn't suited to their phone which they have sold me and see what they respond with. Still waiting
I have writen down the solution here: http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?p=11100039#post11100039, hope it can make some helps.

Hi,
Anyone know how to transfer SMS from Windows Mobile 6.x to Android 2.1?
WM app and Android app which can export/import SMS to certain format that both can understand?
Thanks.
Would it be possible to transfer texts from a "dumb phone" to my Android, e.g. by saving the texts to my SIM-card?
This is what I found:
http://android.modaco.com/content-p...sfered-windows-mobile-sms-to-android/page/40/
And there is also paid app:

Great find, thanks. I've just been through the entire process with sprite migrate and at no point did it prompt me to pay.
I was gonna ask this question about SE c905 sms to desire but then rememberd about myphoneexploer which can export sms from sony ericsson phones in various diff formats. should find 1 app that can import them onto desire. only issue with mpe is it dnt always save sent message times and dates so the chat like sms system on c905 wont transfer properly to desire as sent messages wud be in the wrong order.
I just did too It worked perfectly.
And I realize that this is still BETA version, that's why we dont need to pay.
The software will be expired on July 2010.

Good Mobile Messaging is a sandbox app and cannot access locally-stored contacts.
