Hello NG,
I am triying desperately to download a few tools and get some info from the wiki. But none of the links seem to work! Is that a local problem of mine, or is it a problem of the wiki?

if you get a 404 on a link from wiki
just replace the /wiki/ part with /index.php? and it will work

It is still a problem, but while the solution hasn't been found. this is a work around.
What edsub meant that at least they are available, not as user friendly as they should, but do-able

Hi!
It´s a long time ago ,i was here last time. And now i wanted to finally upgrade my MDA Compact to Bigstorage-ROM, but can´t find the ROMs here anymore. I´ve read so far, that xda-developers was forced to take them from their servers. But where can i get them now from. Any hints?

ok, obviously the forum is not very newbie friendly, but i can understand that it can be annoying. so please answer me just one more question, since i searched here a lot, but couldn´t find the files i am searching for: do you guys mean i can find the rom(s) as an attachement or that i have to search for links in the threats that will direct me to the proper file(s)?
and just for interest: what is a WWE-ROM?

WWE = World Wide English
since ms got the site to remove most of the unofficial roms on the ftp site

It was taken from the OE repositories and it's exactly the same patch, i once posted in the thread over here:

Thanks for your reply, I know how serious the rules are in XDA because I have been using for a while now so I did my research before posting this thread and also came across the same page you kindly gave me but unfortunately the link has been removed and also the other link to the Bulgarian website takes you to another post where the link they provide is also dead. As with every link on google related to the thread title above, I found myself with Captain_Throwback excellent guide. However, the files are missing so I can't really work my way into S-OFF my HTC EVO 4G.
Does anyone have the files so I'll be able to proceed?

I have these files uploaded on Dev-Host. Guess I need to update the links, since the servers over there deleted my files .
Working on it now. You know, it would've been more helpful if you posted about this over there . I would definitely have seen it if you did.

Considering the fact that I don't feel like registering to too many forums, I didn't feel the need to post it there. And I already saw you roaming around here, so I thought this forum was my best option

Tbh, I don't roam around the Supersonic forums too much. It's really just a coincidence I even saw your post. If you want me to see your post, posting in the thread in which I posted it (in whatever forum that is) is always the "best option."
Just FYI in case I have any other broken links .
Well, I went through the entire guide and it worked perfectly! I got S-OFF on my device AND I was able to update the phone and flash custom ROMs and whatnot. I'll play with the phone later on today.

So, on these forums, people are doing voluntary/non-profit work to post their findings and write tutorials to help others. That's ok, it's their choice.
This forum came equipped with a search engine that helps you find information based on what you want. It's great, thank the webmaster for that.
If this forum doesn't have the information that you are looking for you can request it in a nice way, well written, etc. That again, is okay and acceptable.
