Hi,
My wallaby is stuck even though I used the tips in the forum.
The XDA Special Edition 1.1 can't get to screen calibration.
Is there a way to flash the gsm using a SD card?
Thanks,

GSM Error
Thanks, but I already tried it and windows is still stuck.
More ideas are welcome,
Hi all, have floated around the forum for a definitive but not really got my question answered, so here goes....
I have several V1605 Vodafone Hermes/Tytn devices in our organisation that i would like to upgrade to WM6, as the Voda default rom is appalling.
I have upgraded 2 or 3 to Black Majik etc, but i want to upgrade the rest from the default voda to HTC official, however i get the following:
A, INvalid vendor ID on one device
B, Connection error on another
In A, is there a custom ruu package with a non vendor specific ID, although i dont see why.
B, Flumoxed, goes to Bootloader flix on and on, even for a split second shows the grey screen and a progress bar, then Connection error.
Err, anyone got any clues?
TIA

For the A question, in this post http://forum.xda-developers.com/showpost.php?p=1410956&postcount=82 you can find WWE version with CustomRRU. Take care to have the last HardSPL before flash. You can flash the Radio ROM in second stage. If you want other languaje, in the thread you can find more if you take time to read it
For the B question, can be an USB issue (cable or USB port on the PC). Try on other PC and other cable.
Various errors - part 2
Thanks for A, however B, i have tried on several different machines still the same error, its weird and i have never seen one like this before....
Thanks

Try to use a XP box instead a Vista one, and select SSPL to install HardSPL. This must work.
no
It doesnt, however if failed, but my spl is now 2.03
both custom ruu and official rom fail on error 260
Hi,
If these are Vodafone devices are they unlocked? If they are still locked then you will have to unlock them first then install Hard SPL 2.10 Olipro before attempting what you want to do.
Have a look in the wiki; its all in there. Feel free to come back if you need more help.
Good luck.
WB
....that was my next question....
So i unlock them first?
~clearly i do.....
~Will give it a go...
one done...
one of them is now unlocked and upgraded...Thanks.
The other has an ipl of 1.00 and an spl 2.03
can this be unlocked with the unlock tool and then upgraded or do i downgrade the spl?
Thanks all....
I have read and read and read. so I have a telus diamond and I cannot flash hardspl 1.4. I tired xp and vista. I ended up flashing 1.57 (comonex?) and I tried flashing the radio and it didn't work. I try flashing 1.40 but it gives me communication error and an enterbootloader error on the device. any ideas before I smash this thing?
thanks
what did you do? maybe you describe step by step what you did and what was the result

make sure your using the CDMA hard spl and not the GSM
your also required to have .net CF 3.5 installed in order to flash hard spl.
where is the cdma hardspl? isn't that unsigned_1.4 hard spl... from the tutorial?
I flashed 1.57 on it and its hard to even get into the boot loader with the volume down/reset. sometimes it doesn't boot and just vibrates. sometimes it boot into wm6.1. I hardly can ever get it into bootloader then when I do and I flash a radio 1.0.5.25 (?i can't remember which right now) it says it flashed, resets and is still 0.99.99v. I wanna flash a good radio and the juicy telus rom because straight out of the box the gps has never work properly and the phone always messes up.
thanks guy
talking to myself
ok so i found this enableRAPI and CERT_SPCS cabs that disable the security warning (that comes up when i try and get into bootloader and makes the device freeze solid)
goin to try when my girl gets home

your worrying me, your not researching before your doing all this stuff and your going to bring your phone.
there are NO radio updates for the telus diamond. flashing any other radio will brick your device.
you MUST unlock your device with the CMDMA unlocker its not on xda its founds here
and you MUST make sure any rom files are CDMA based and not GSM.
may i suggest you first research the difference between CDMA and GSM cellular devices, and then i suggest reading very carefully. as some users here who do not have already bricked there devices. knowledge is key.

Hey guys,
first off im a newbie & i have trawled thru countless threads etc. I just bought a Telstra branded Diamond which id like to update to the optus rom (im with them). From wat i undastand, a hardspl is needed before attempting to flash a rom. Ive tried olinex signed, developer edition etc successfully. These are meant to enable u to flash any rom, but wen i try to add the optus or other official rom i get the invalid id error...
Wat am i doing wrong??? Thanks in advanced.
Have you unlocked it yet
Search here for the diamond unlocker utility if you haven't yet. I have a cdma Diamond from sprint but this site is mostly gsm so I'm sure you want to get the right unlocker, not sure what would happen or if the unlockers are different for gsm and cdma but they probably are. Hope I helped.
Unlocked?
It came unlocked from factory, it accepted my optus sim & has functionality. Is that wat u meant?

cid unlock is carrier id unlock basically you want to have your diamond cid unlocked before you flash various carrier roms on it. If it came sim unlocked than cid is probably locked to htc thus constricting you to official htc rom updates only.
cid unlock your diamond and than proceed with flashing other roms.
After more experimenting it worked! Found hardspl unsigned, flashed the olinex 1.93 version followed by flashing optus rom HA-ZAAAAAAAH
What optus rom?
Do you have a link to the optus rom that you used? Was it this one (generic AU)?

Hi mates.
I'm really new to all these but I have read all this really carefully.
At modmydiamond.info I follow exactly every word as described and I'm trying to do the upgrade of my new HTC Diamond.
At the first step (upgrading to Hard SPL) the whole procedure lasts less than 1-2 minutes. It is supposed to last about 10 minutes. I have tried both ways..."If you are having problems with the device entering SSPL automatically, please copy the file "SSPLManual.exe" from the directory you unzipped the installation package to the device and run it (recommended to run it from the Windows folder). INSTALLING THIS WILL HARD-RESET THE DEVICE. Your device screen will turn black and you can start from step 2 of this guide" and the result is always the same: The progress bar on my PC (Vista windows) goes to 100% in 2-3 seconds and then I'm ready to click Finish. The diamond is doing the soft reset and at the first screen I can see again this:
R 1.00.25.05
G 52.29.25.12H
D 1.93.00.00 in red colour all of them.
Anyone has any idea, please help!
p.s. when my PC recognise the diamond it says something "quallcom CDMA" or something like that. I read something about CDMA or not. Is that helps? My device actually is a Xda O2 Ignito from UK.
im just a n00b in here but the thing is for cdma rom update you need something else like the tutorial that is stickied it says not for cdma users maybe thats the prob do you have a sim card or anyting else you put into your pda
I finally think that the CDMA has nothing to do because I have two Diamonds,
one XDA O2 Ignito and the other one HTC Diamond from Vodafone. Both of them from UK and I am in Greece. I did the same procedure for the Hard SPL and I had exactly the same results.
I also tried it in windows XP in an other PC and again the same.
Is there something that I'm doing wrong with the ActiveSync?
What else can you guess? Please give me some help cause I have to sell one of them and it must be in Greek!
hkayak...thanx for your response!
How can I know if they are CDMA or not?
I finally did it!!!!
Hey guys many thanx to all of you in that forum! I finally did it with Hard SPL, Radio and Greek rom! keep going on the good work!
keep ridin'...cause life is a free ride!
