please tell me can i unlock my phone without upgrading the rom.
that is by using xdaunlock tool... i tried one but it says error in unlocking
can the new versions of xdaunlock tool help me in unlocking
if not ........where can i find rom version 3.17.xx

go cook a ppc 2002 rom from a romkitchen with the xdaunlock program on it and unlock it then just put ur original rom back on

usaully all you need to do is search for your phone in the wiki section..... it should be under that

I've recently tried to upgrade my Dopod 838 pro's OS, Radio and SPL.
I've done the SPL but the OS updater and Radio updater cant autodetect my SPL version.
I'm running on:
ROM version: 1.23.707.4
ROM date: 07/21/06
Radio Version: 1.06.00.10
Protocol Version: 32.37.7010.01H
The upgrader just says "Error, Unknown version, you should pick SSPL" when I click autodetect. The guides on Mrvanx's site offers no solutions for this problem. Can anyone help me?
