How store data in the flash memory? - Windows Mobile Software Development

Hi, there is any way to store files in the flash memory of the XDA.
I want to do that in order to do a program that store files or data in
a place where the data remains if the XDA gets without power battery.
Thanks

Google Drive offline cache

Hi there
Yesterday I signed up for the new Google Drive. Got it set up on my computer and on my Desire and started syncing files between the two. But when I tried to make the files available offline on my phone I wasnt able to. I think it has something to do with the offline cache on my phone beeing so small(Only 25 mb). Ive seen somewhere that on other phones the cache starts at 50 mb and you can choose up to 250mb in cache.
Why isnt that possible on my Desire? I know the app is new and all that but I cant understand why it is different on the Desire compaired to other android phones. ive got plenty of space on my SD card and i dont think it is saved in the internal memory.
Anyways, would be awesome if anyone had an answer to this issue.
Thanks in advance
Offline files are saved on the internal as far as me doing a quick test with it.

I also have a problem with Google Drive offline access, don't now if it's the same as you.
With Google Drive online, no problem, it is downloading the file, and then opening the corresponding external app.
But if I set the file on offline acces, then the behaviour is depending on the file:
- with pdf file, no problem, the file is downloaded into Google Drive data folder on the SD card, with a copy in the data partition and opened with Adobe reader.
- with xls file, the file is only downloaded into Google Drive data folder on the SD card, and then Docs to Go isn't able to open it (looking for it on the data partition).

Hello, the game might refer to your internal sd card, not external sd card
step by step
Games and applications can be installed on your internal SD (your phone memory) or your external SD. apps are installed on your internal SD by default. for moving an application from internal SD to external SD here is your steps:
settings -> applications -> manage appications -> (select your app) -> Move to SD card (button)
one of the other reasons that got this massage might be that your internal SD is full, but how it happens? when you download an application and install it, the application source will stay on your phone. it is because when you used a paid application, and for any reason deleted the application, next time you want it, you won't have to pay again. but if you download many programs and install them (or install and then delete them) source file of app will stay on your internal SD and it will get some space. browse a little in file manager app and you will find some of sources you don't want to.
be careful if you rooted your phone, maybe you delete an application that is necessary for your phone. only delete apps you know.

This is nonsense. Information about your paid apps is stored in the cloud, on Google servers. You can even change your phone for a new one and you will be still able to download your paid apps stored under your account.

ninmanr telling the same stuff as you..
Let me make this clearer... Every apps leave what we call caches.
So there's four type data stored in your phone when it's installed:
APK at /data/app
data folder at sdcard (if created by app)
SQL DB entry
Cache and Configurations
Your best bet when uninstalling a program is clearibg the cache first, clear data, then uninstall.
But I believe you can do more when rooted. CMIIW

MtpApp data removal

I searched on XDA... and found no concrete answer.
It is safe to clear the data on the MtpApp app on my rooted R800a?, it is using about 25MB of internal memory right now...
And due to the Google Maps (14MB), Google Play (10MB) , YouTube (10 MB), Office suite (10 MB) and Adobe Flash player (8MB) update and the Google services (3MB) "AUTO INSTALL" every day after I remove it ... and the Bruce Lee Game (11 MB) which I can't uninstall (even rooted it tells me something about the APK.) I'm in costant frustration with the LOW SPACE alert sign... (do you know you can't received or send Gmail when you have that FreakinG alert sign?)
I have removed all the bloatware and some games.... but now Im sacrificing beloved my games... because I have no SPACE...
Can anybody give me any hint about this MtpApp... also... any other thing I can do to gain more internal space.
Thanks
Convert all the google apps (except google play) to user apps using titanium backup and then move them to sdcard.
Also do the same with flashplayer, office, pre-installed games ect.
All games can be moved to sdcard with titanium backup
I got a Play off eBay recently and had the same space issue. I installed Link2SD, created a 2gig partition for it and now have plenty of space.

Hi there, I tried yesterday with the Titanium Backup I have installed but it says I need the donate version to convert the google apps to user apps... guess I have to pay for this solution.
Also Im close to switch my SD card... so it will be a better idea to make this after I change it... do you know if it possible to just "COPY" the SD card data from the one I have to the new one I just purchased and not cause any glitch?
Thanks for your comments and suggestions You may have gave my Xperia Play another year of life.. :
Also, clean up and integrate dalvik cache with titanium backup. I've tried this and I get more internal space too. One more, integrate system updates to Rom. This will save a lot of space.

[Q] moving apps and game data?

Just got a GT N7100 few days ago. rooted it. i have lots of games installed like max payne, gta3 etc. so all my storage is gone. i want to ask how do i move games and apps to external sd? can i backup game data which is everytime whopping over 1gb so that i do not need to download it again if i reinstall any game. is there any way to move gamedata to ext. sd?
and:victory: i just got idea if i do not uninstall game back but just backup gamedata and delete it from phone to free up memory and when i need app i just move back data to its original location which is usually android data, will it work.
i have 300 mb free space and now my phone doesnt allow me to install an app even less than 1mb of size..any idea......thanks in advance.......:good:
Moving to external sd has been asked and answered before. Here is one I replied to: http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=2010235

No if you want to use the same files/folders on another phone. The game downloads files for your specs, not for other phones.
If its for your or another Note 2 then it might work if the game has not been updated since your backup. If it has been updated it might need the new files.
RE

That will probably work unless you open it by a mistake. Maybe not if it has the permission to run at startup. It could look for the files then, and not find any.
Both of the solutions i linked to works for me.
Directory Bind is most useful for me with this phone.
And then you don't have to wait for the copying every time you want to play a game.
re
can u shed some light on directory blind and how to use it?
I used this guide: http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1889550
Remember that apps with root access can do everything they want with your phone, including making it as usefull as a brick.
Don't use an app with root access until you think you understand a little of what it does, and you have read a few reviews/posts about it.
Be extra careful with root apps that are not in the Play store/Market. This is not. Why are they not there? Maybe because Google rejected it because it does bad things?
I wanted all of the data in the folder DirectoryBind on my external SD card. What you are supposed to do then (step 2 in that guide) is change the default data path to /mnt/extSdCard/DirectoryBind. I wrote /extSdCard/DirectoryBind because my Galaxy S II had a link to the microSD card there. The Note II does not, so the /mnt/ is important
Took me a while to realize what was wrong...
Thanks man .. DB did the job.....everything s now fine.
Startup soung stopped working?
hey man ! after installing DB startup tone doesnt work..any ideas?
The Samsung tone when you turn on the phone? I don't want that, so let me know if you find out what removed it.

Apps not working

Helko friends!!
I am new to nokia x... Actually recently bought it and it was too slow as to three needs of today...
So i searched the xda and found stock tweaked...
I flashed it through recovery.... And guess what??
My sd card was set as default storage...
I tried installing need for speed most wanted...
Copied data to the data sub folder inside the android folder but the app says need to download additional data.....
I don't know what to do....
Can't play the game!!! May be because the apps are installed in internal memory!!!! But when i open the app info it shows sd data as 2 gb....
I need help....
Any help will be appreciated!!
