Hi All,
I am trying to figure out if STK applications can be provided in PDAs and I am presently concentrating on XDA PocketPC.
I used RIL library (through XDA-developers forum) and tried some sim toolkit related commands like 'RIL_GetSimToolkitProfile', 'RIL_SendSimCmd'. The result (HRESULT) of these commands is 0x80004001 (E_NOTIMPL - Not implemented). Probably RIL is just returning E_NOTIMPL for toolkit commands.
In case these functions are not implemented in RIL library, is there any other way to communicate with SIM??
Regards,
Usha
oh ok, I already answered in the other post

Hi,every one
I meet a problem,please help me:
I have a PDA which is installed inside a radio module, called ET180 with
pocket PC 2002 OS, I do not know how to send AT command to radio module in program, I am using EVB or EVC for coding.
If outside radio module is connect to PC by serial port, I can send command to serial port. but on ET180, I do not know how the radio module is connected.
Do you know is there a RIL(radio interface layer) function that can send command, and How? or any other way?
Thanks
I would have to have a look at a et180 rom, to see how it works. probably it is an entirely different hardware platform than the xda.
I run a sample EVC program on ET180, using RIL API, run well,
sample show how radio module receive and send information, exactly like
AT command,
1.
I figure if RIL API have function to directly send AT Command and get feedback, that will meet my requirement, bu I do not know if there is such API.
2.
If any vitual COM driver available, maybe also ok.
3. I seach the web, and know the radio modile is from siemens
If you search the web, ET180 document can be found, from lenovo
the largest IT corporation in China
yes, I saw there site, unfortunately my chinese is not that good.
If you can post a link pointing directly to a downloadable rom, or rom upgrade package, that would be very helpful.
specifically I need to look at rilgsm.dll and probably serial{1,2,3}.dll
you may use osimagetool together with dumprom to extract them.
The manufacturer not provide ROM for download, and I can not copy DLL file from ROM by IE, if you have Osimagetool, please attach here, so I can send ROM to you.
thank you!
by the way, when ET180 connected to my PC, ActiveSync3.5(builder 1240) works.
I make a backup (backup.stg) for ROM and RAM by ActiveSync, attach here, if you have tool to read, you will see every thing.
oh, the file can not be attached in this forum, open your Email if you please.
Can anyone tell ril API "RIL_GetSerialPortHandle" and "RIL_DevSpecific"
is implemented yet or not? and how to call the API? I write code:
1
iReturn=RIL_DevSpecific(hRil, (BYTE *)"AT+CSQ\r", (DWORD)7);
Result callback is not responded.
2
iReturn=RIL_GetSerialPortHandle(hRil,lphSerial);
HANDLE lphSerial is invalide.
Thanks
Just been looking at this page ... I think some of the info may be helpful in solving the PDA2k (and maybe other models) Bluetooth Audio Gateway problem.
My question is how would I execute these commands? Would I need to build an application or could I do it via an application that already exists?
Hey all,
I'm working on some stuff for a car pc project.
I've found a site that gives you information on AT Commands for mobile phones but none of them work.
Does anyone know the accepted AT commands for the Blueangel?
Regards
Gavin
Obviously, those of you with a T-Mobile DASH who are using the WM6 ROM from T-Mobile that includes Voice Command do not have, or should not have an issue with Announcements via BlueTooth.
However, with so many other ROMs available, many of them more stable, I wanted an option to use these HTC ROMs while not loosing Announcements via BlueTooth. You can install the HTC ROM and then install Voice Command 1.6, but as many know, Announcements do not work.
Well, here is how I got it to work.
Start with the stock TMO/WM6 ROM for the Dash installed on your ... Dash
1) get/copy the Voice Command files from the Windows Directory
enuphon.dat

l1033.ini

vcbthag.dll

VCOSShim_SP05.dll
voicecmd.exe
VoiceCmdRes_SP.dll
VoiceCommandWMP.dll

2) install the new HTC ROM
3) buy/get/download the distributable Voice Command installer for the SmartPhone
4) install Voice Command on the fresh HTC ROM
5) take the Voice Command files that you copied from the WM6 T-Mobile ROM and use them to replace the Voice Command files that were installed in the Voice Command directory on the HTC ROM
soft reset and when voice command loads, it now announces ... everything that I can think of, if you are using the Normal profile. It may work on other profiles, but I don't have the time/inclination to test out those scenarios
I am trying to use boggsie's method, but messed up and did not copy the voicecmd.exe file from the TMo DASH. Oops!
Can someone post the file for me. Thanks
Are You Using A 6.0 ROM

If you are using a 6.1 ROM you do not need boggies VC, it's already in the ROM. I can make calls via my bluetooth headset with the 6.1 ROM.........!
There is a reg hack that allows all the calls, announcements, etc. to go through your bluetooth headset.

I am using a 6.0 ROM other than TMo, and Voice Command will not announce incoming calls. I think I can replace my voicecmd.exe with the one from TMo (it is changed to allow incoming call announcments), and it will work. Problem is that I do not have the voicecmd.exe from TMo ROM.
Can someone copy it from their TMo Windows directory, and post it here? Thanks.
here you go...this is from 6.1 which should be the same from 6.0
Lots in the rom development area could / may have happened, since I posted this tip. It has been well over six months, which for this community, is a very long time.
Making calls was never an issue. However, I (and many others in this situation) consistently ran into two issues.
1) fully functional call confirmation was unattainable
2) fully functional call and message announcements were unattainable
Again, I could make a call and talk all day ... that was not the issue.
So, the goal was to find a way to upgrade to another rom without loosing the aforementioned functionality. You could post-flash install Voice Command, but IMHO, it was a crippled installation for reasons listed above.
I haven't followed the SmartPhone scene since late February. It is entirely possible and probable that cooks have found ways to cook fully-functional Voice Command setups into custom roms.

Voice Comand announces incoming calls!
Thanks for the files, links, and boggsie's instructions. I will now know who is calling without looking at the phone while driving, drinking coffee, eating a muffin, etc.
Hi,
I got asked by several people now who have wrongly applied a ROM udate to their device whether I could provide them with my original ROM from my device.
They have broken some of their devices' functionality, such as non-working trackball, keyboard, etc.
I have no idea on how to rip my ROM from the device and safe it to a file on the HDD.
Which tools do I need?
Appreciate any link to existing entries or further reading...
I have a Toshiba G710 (VDA GPS, Amoi 6711).
Is the procedure always the same with any Windows Mobile device?
Many, many thanks in advance.
no it's rarely the same procedure on various wm devices

But which tools do I need and how to get the ROM off the device?
Check this tutorial out: http://www.xperiax1.net/forum/how-t...rom-first-backup-your-stock-rom-how-here.html
Just make sure to DL the most recent version of HTC ROM Tools and replace the one in the kitchen. Also, if your device is not listed in that app, you will be able to dump the rom, but not reconstitute it successfully. That's where I am at right now.
