I have an unlocked Desire, my mom has an iPhone 4, we're on a family plan on AT&T in the US. I can send/receive picture messages to/from everyone, she can send/receive picture messages to/from everyone, we can send text messages to each other, I can send picture messages to her, BUT SHE CAN'T SEND PICTURE MESSAGES TO ME. When she does, my phone's screen comes on and the "H / 3G" icon lights up to show it's downloading something, and then no message shows up. It doesn't say "downloading error" or anything, it just acts like nothing ever happened. However, I had a few of my friends with iPhone 4's to send me picture messages and they always worked perfectly. AT&T tech support has no idea what's going on, except perhaps it's some weird server issue due to her being on an iPhone plan and me being on a regular data plan and us being on the same family text plan. But no one really knows. Before she had the iPhone she had a Motorola KRZR and we never had this issue.
Anyone have ANY IDEA what could be going on here? She thought maybe I accidentally changed something in my phone settings to block MMS's from her phone number, but I'm not sure that's even possible. Any thoughts?

It sounds like an issue with MMSC Router Profile for those devices and related to a CUG or call user group glitch. Are you on a " Family " Plan?

Yes we are. My dad is also on the plan, and it works fine when he tries to send me picture messages, and when my mom sends him picture messages.
Hello, i used to have a LG P500 and after sendind a sms the report used to say the name of the person, since i chenged to the galaxy nexus the report only shows the number of the person i contacted.
Its not a big deal but sometimes I send a sms to more then one person and i want to know who got it and who didnt.

Hey guys Im finally getting acclimated coming from an iPhone 5s. I have rooted and im running viper rom and have everything the way i want it aside from the messaging.
I seem to have trouble with Google hangouts my friends all still have iPhones and when they try to group text me Google hang out sees the group text incoming but their names do not populate also when i attempt to send a message it always fails. I have the group message function (mms) activated but it doesnt seem to help. If i use the regular text message app I can see them normally and also reply......... Any help with this would be greatly appreciated!
Edit: Im also noticing that it does not have an option to send video........ I thought this was suppose to be the imessage equivalent............ honestly i understand i can email videos but thats a pain. im really kinda going through imessage withdraws lol only thing i like about the iphone
On my VZW m8 when I send a group message a couple of my friends get blank messages from me. One person is on sprint with a Note 3 and the other is ATT on WP. Everyone else gets my group texts but these two don't. Anyone else have this issue?
It did this from stock and still does this now that I am rooted, s-offed and running Clean Rom 1.2
Its started a while ago actually. I had my SMS set to hangouts and I spam texted the iOS text exploit to two people, like an insurmountable amount of times. After that, I have been unable to send text messages to some people.
I had an issue that every carrier for some reason blocked my texts to them but Sprint. I could recieve texts from friends on other carriers but they never got my replies. Had to have Sprint support fix it. He said it happens once in awhile. Don't knowbif this is your exact issue but a call to Sprint tech and they will have u fixed in a day or 2.
