Hey there,
I have been trying crDroid & GrapheneOS, but they're not exactly for me. I prefer the OxygenOS experience over those 2, unfortunately.
Are there any OOS 13.1 (Android13) based Custom ROMs? Or tweaks / mods to it to improve my battery life/efficiency of my device.
And get rid of useless processes and stuff. Want to also be a bit more privacy focussed and have none of the OnePlus Red Cable club bullsh*t or whatever.
Any recommendations?
Thanks in advance.

crDroid is based has OOS13.1 firmware, others more or less is the same
If you prefer OOS experience without unnecessary stufs you can just use "app manager" to disable unwanted apps (there are also debloating scripts and magisk module)
for battery life, always same reccomandations (working with sensors, AOD, auto sync, etc)
since you already know crDroid and also you are privacy caring, you can try it running with microG (but at the end it will not increase battery life)
you can also try "kernel profile" magisk module (customizing processors max frequency it reduce battery consumption, you can achieve the same configuring kernel via app like kernel adiutor)
i liked bliss OS battery management (but for lemonadep it's only gapps build)
if worth a try, in any case, you should also give time to the rom to stabilize it-self (keep installed 1 month before judge it)
a question: where you found GrapheneOS for lemonadep?

I mostly meant the OOS Launcher Experience I suppose, which crDroid lacks. I tried using NeoLauncher but still prefer OnePlus Launcher. There was a port but it's outdated.
Sorry about the GrapheneOS mention, I meant iode. Morning brain.
I see OnePlus Launcher in Google Play Store

OK, iodé, Los4microG, divestedOS they are directly derived from lineage, most focused on privacy than experience beauty
back at the beginning
try "app manager" to disabile the unnecessary stuffs, you can also disable google services and patch them with xposed + fake-gapps module + microG (a bit tricky, but feasible) i did it several times, but at the end i prefer having a clean rom (it's more stabile)

Download and install the xposed installer first and download zip through it.
- Install Magisk
- Go to Download section, search for xposed
- Install the xPosed installer for Magisk given in the text link
- Install the suitable framework
works and does not get kicked out by ROM updates.
Xposed doesn't work on miui 10 for our device. It gives bootloop.
I believe SELinux has to be _permissive_

I have seen you referring this microG many times with much admiration. The only microG I know is a small app required to sign in YouTube vanced and the older og YouTube. But of course you are talking about something much more complex. So what is that much useful that microG and fake gapps offer? I predict that it might need a lengthy answer so a summary would be good enough too.

Raptorddd, it is not possible using xPosed modules or framework on MIUI based ROMs. I was merely answering the general question if it can be installed on the Redmi Note 5. That question did not ask for MIUI.
To make that clear once again to all other users:
- MIUI uses a special framework that does not allow working with usual xPosed framwork
- Oreo AOSP and LIneage based ROMs do install and work with xPosed.
I have never used Gapps on my Redmi Note 5. I have microG on all my Oreo ROMs based on AOSP and Lineage. The easiest are Havoc and Aosip, these happen to be the two best ones at this time (for me). I have packed the Google Sync adapters and all microG modules in two zip files that I can flash from TWRP. That way the somewhat tedious installation of microG is vastly simplyfied when changing ROM. Nanodroid in the thread includes items I don't want.

well lets say its a lite version of google play services.. means more battery and also i can feel more responsive and snappier once you remove it. the only thing i log in is my google account for playstore.. microg replaces playservices.. that has like 300 services and and maybe 20 are on. while microg has like 7 or so.. on and less then 20 services..
i just want longer battery and more performance.. with microG that guy said on link that he added the signature to miui 10. i have not tried it yet.. easy way is magisk module or in nougat roms that are deodexed... oreo is odexed so cant patch it.. they are working on a patch that woks on oreo.. also 9.0 pie has problems i assumed rom is deodexed.
Gapps is a major contributor to battery consumption, most of the services are calling home functions that ensure Google gets also the last bit of where you go and what you do. Google Play services ensures this still happening in particular when there are non-Google apps running. Over the years it has been developed from an acceptable application framework to ensure location, notification and app service functions to a heavy prying tool. It is important for Google, which that is why it's force updated.
Google is making app developers disabling apps functioning, if no Google apps are installed, even though the app would work perfectly fine without.
That is where microG comes in. It is a not always a 100% replacement, some apps such as Google maps work only partially with microG, though there are alternatives for almost everything. https://shadow53.com/android/no-gapps/setup-guide/microg/
Tried to flash Xposed today only via Magisk 17.1v
Ended up in bootloop for MIUI 10 Developer ROM.
P.S.- Reflash the same zip via Recovery to uninstall and get out of boot loop
Some are claiming Xposed v90-beta3 is working with MIUI 10 but i've tried and it just results in a bootloop or booting to TWRP.
Has anyone on here had any success with xposed and MIUI 10?
Doesn't work, I tried and it too ended up in bootloop.

Hi, I created this my first thread to know which Magisk modules you use with your Xiaomi mi a2 lite and then later maybe create a list of the best ones.
Mine are:
-HAL3 enabler - Camera2 Api support
-Youtube Vanced - Magisk Repo
-Viper4Android FX
-NotchKiller
- GPU Turbo Boost
Rboard themes, are gboard themes, very cool, i highly recommended.

I don't use gpu turbo since it didn't change the performance at all, I tried with the 3dmark test and the result was the exact same. I personally like System Accent Theme and Magisk Manager for Recovery Mode (just in case you install a module that makes your device bootloop).

I just heard of it today, it doesnt seem like you can install it from the magisk manager app (at least with the stable channel selected) as it doesnt show that there is an update but ill try to search for some more info in the future since in my opinion it may be early to install the update and magisk 18.1 works perfectly for me

I didn't encounter that kind of issue.
My Magisk modules
- Busybox
- Systemless TZData
- F-Droid extension
- Debloater (v17 doesn't work with magisk 18)
- Riru/EdXposed
- mm
I use debloater so that services like Google Maps can be made non-system (possible to restrict) and to hide the launcher (Oreo recents).
I have EdXposed for no Google play games (stop annoying nag every time I start a game).
Mm let's me recover from magisk modules that boot loop. Boot into twrp and modules can be disabled.
I think Pix3lify (gives you them beautiful rounded corners and Pixel Blue accent colors) and QuickSwitch (lets you change your default launcher without breaking the recents, install Lawnchair v2 or OnePlus Launcher port by paphonb after that) are the must install modules on this device.

Yes, themes with .mtz extension I downloaded from browser don't work, and in EU most the themes are in Chinese words.. I actually prefer MIUI more than AOSP, but MIUI gets more complicated like for example to set permission for battery optimization, need to set per/app in the Apps page and Battery Saver page. Sometimes the permission page in Privacy will not change then must go change manually.
My Mail app crashes all the time in EU 21.9.
For the new feature of 21.9, did all your apps get set Autostart automatically? Was it due to the update or originally all the apps are set to Autostart by default?

The status bar will be my least worry, the one that really keeps me on my toes all the time are the unnecessary apks installed in system with part of the name being "theme", and there is plenty of those files. The theming is complicated too, you don't even know where they hid the theme files. I tried to look for guides in official community forums, no luck. Another thing, is it just me or do you feel that the system Dark Mode is actually Black and not Dark? I mean, if other apps could tell the difference then Mi can't be so careless right?
Just wanting to know if there are any A12 custom roms for moto one action or if anyone can port it,it will be greatly appreciated

You have to install magisk and multiple other things, but I made it work! Google Pay, Netflix, banking apps, work perfectly now. You need to install these modules for magisk:
- Shamiko
- MagiskHide Props Config
- Universal SafetyNet Fix
- If you want to use Google Pay install Gpay SQLite Fix
For props config you want to edit device fingerprint to an android 12 supported devices (i used pixel 5) and force BASIC key attestation (i used pixel 5 again). Then just use denylist on GSF, Play Store (im not sure if its needed) and any other app you want to hide root from. Make sure you disable Enforce Deny List. Then you can clear data from Play Store, GMS, and Google Pay (if you need it). Google Pay might not work immediately (took a couple of reboots to get it to work) and Netflix and other apps might not appear in the Play Store at first.
Good Luck!
Hello, guys! I have a question for you; I hope you could help me out with this, I've been looking over the web and couldn't find anything.
First some background.
Right after I bought my POCO F3, I unlocked the bootloader and flashed the xiaomi.eu rom, I stayed there for months, but then I wanted to try some AOSP ROMs, so I flashed crDroid, it wasn't what I was looking for, so I switched to Pixel Experience, I was pretty happy with it but some banking apps didn't work even with Magisk and zygisk and all that stuff, so I tried to flash Pixel OS but their recovery didn't work for me, my last shot was Lineage OS, but it was similar to crDroid, long story short, I decided to go back to MIUI global.
I used the official MiFlash tool and flashed the latest release of MIUI global stable through fastboot.
My concern is the following, after flashing the original rom through fastboot with the option "clean_all" is the phone stays the same as before flashing all that stuff? If not, what should I do?
Somehow I feel like there is a huge mess in the internal memory and I just want to make sure that everything is formatted, cleaned and original, like it never had any custom rom installed before.
If you chose clean all it will be like Brandon new, take note if you leave the bootloader un locked it will not pass google play store of certification, how lame right ,they want you to lock the bootloader, that's why I chose Arrow

I didn't now that, I just installed safetynet test and it fails the CTS profile match
Can I just lock the bootloader again to go back to normal? I don't plan to keep messing around with custom roms again

Thanks bro, I'll do that
You don't need to lock the BL.
Get Magisk, enable Zygisk, and use the Magisk Module "SafetyNet Fix" from GitHub. The Module did the job for me.
Might also work on Pixel Experience. ^^
I'm currently just using Stock MIUI 13.

I already did that in pixel experience, but there was just one banking app that didn't want to work no matter what I try. I really wanted to stay in pixel experience but now that I'm back in MIUI 13 with poco launcher 4 it's not that bad either, at least I have Dolby Atmos, HDR and all that stuff.

Yeah because of Dolby Atmos and MIUI Camera I'm also staying on MIUI. ^^
BTW, just to really make sure, you used Magisk Module "SafetyNet Fix" on Pixel Experience, yes?
You can try deleting the folder "TWRP" if existent (some apps check for that folder, e.g. Mario Kart). You can also try hiding Magisk App (apps also check for that app).

if you want the goodies of MIUI but also to pass safetynet without issues i suggest you to try "xiaomi eu"
they are based on the chinese rom which is ahead in terms of features and bugfixes (specially the beta) and have some optimizations to make the experience better

Tried it.. it's oky... I like Google System Apps more. Call Recording Feature was nice. :v
But unfortunately, GSI's didn't work/boot with Xiaomi.eu (Generic System Images). I like to be able to use GSI's, to try out other new OSes from time to time, Dual Boot sorta. ^^
