Hello!
So, I always noticed that my battery wasn't good at all. But i thought it was OK, until a friend of mine bought the same MB525.
He asked me to flash CM7 for him (mine's CM7 too), and his battery performance was stupidly better than mine.
Comparing, my battery drains 1% every 20~25 minutes (wifi, data, sync off, 2g only), and his, 1% every hour or around 40 minutes with 2g mobile data on.
So my question is: My defy is 6 months old. So, can I run any test to diagonose my battery for capacity and any other problem it might have appeared on it's lifetime?
Notes: I already tested for everything, background apps and etc, and that's not the cause of the battery drain.
Thank you!
Additional Info: Battery Calibration was also done after flashing.
Did you charged full the battery after installing cm? ?

Yes, I did a battery callibration too =(
Try wipe battery stats in CWM , and charge the battery again

Shall I do that with a 35% charge?
Wipe battery just restart the battery charge count, i think you will not have problems with that

install battery monitor, great app for monitoring! and have you checked which color is your water damage indicator on your battery? mine is red and that means my battery got wet, which probably caused a short, and now my batt eats a lot more than before!
sent from my cm7.1 defy...
What you need to do:
Install CPU Spy first, so we can see if your phone is actually going into Deep Sleep.
If it is going into deep sleep most of the time how it should, then there is an app consuming insane amounts of power when the phone is on.
You should then check (after consuming the battery from 100% to about 20%) the Battery Usage to see which apps are on top. The screen is normally on top of all battery usage.
In the case your phone is not entering Deep Sleep, then that is your issue. (which is not doing from the numbers you are getting).
If you are connected to the internet using WiFi, then thi is your issue. WiFi uses a lot of power, and it prevents the phone from entering in Deep Sleep mode.
If not, well, report back and we shall move into another stuff
gl~
Installed Battery Monitor, some data collected:
Batt Level 94%
Temperature 34C/93.2F
Voltage: 4030 mV
disconnected 50 minutes ago with moderate use (2 phone calls (5 minutes total), twitter/fb check on 2G for 5 min each)
That's quite bad =(
Also, on CPU Spy, on standby the phone sleeps correctly, so, no problem with background apps and etc.
The Batt Stats were ereased too.
Obs: Sync is off.
Any other clues? Thanks!

My lg g3 keeps overheating can i fiz this without lowering performance and how can i decrease gaming lag without overclock
It's amazing how much we actually use our phones in a given day, especially when we watch "videos"! Rate this thread to express how many hours of screen-on time you can get on the Moto Z2 Play before depleting the battery.
Then, drop a comment if you have anything to add!
Battery life has been quite good.
Yeah the battery is great
Z play, not Z2 play is a beast in terms of battery life Just got over 9 hours of screen on time over 2 days
Battery life is really good, In wifi in a get 7-8 hours of sot, 1 day and 7 hours total, using only 4g I get 5-6 h.
La batería ha durado bastante, me ha dado 12 horas, es muy buena no pensé que me fuera a dar tantas horas de pantalla
I'm coming from a Moto X Pure/Style which has a poor battery. So I'm pretty pleased with this phone and battery life. 12 to 14 hours of battery life and around 8 hours of SoT with heavy use of the phone. Music, some high demanding games, Netflix, YouTube, Spotify, WhatsApp, Instagram and a lot of browsing using Chrome. The brightness always at 25%-50% (Depends) and even with the annoying haptic feedback of the fingerprint sensor for gestures turned on.

30% left, 9h sot. If I would have waited till 5% it could very well be 10 to 11h max sot. This all with usage of WiFi and LTE throughout the day, some gaming (Lara Croft Go, Horizon Chase) and streaming. All things done equally. If I would deactivate Tasker another 30 minutes could have been saved. Never had such awesome battery life. Although I've cheated for a little bit - my whole device theme and websites viewed are dark...
You can easily use this phone for 6 hours a day without worrying about it the battery. For example I used it 3 hours today on medium load and it still did not hit the 50% mark. My Moto Z was about 3x worse and even the Axon 7 did not manage more than 4h screen on time.
Hello,
my Moto G5 XT1676 slows down if battery is lower than 10%. Is it bug or a feature (decreasing performance to save energy)? Does it happen to anyone's other phone? Thanks in advance.
is a feature of the cell, it reduces the clock CPU to save battery below 10%
Original language
é um recurso do celular, ele reduz o relógio da CPU para economizar bateria abaixo de 10%
You can disable it in settings in the battery section, if you want.
Is it possible to increase screen refresh rate in our device?

Any reason why you need a Higher refresh rate? Where is the benefit of it? It will just consuming more battery.
