7X Oreo Update Files

Instead of waiting for the phone to get the staged update can we just flash the update.zip and other related update zips with TWRP?

I used the L24 update files from TeamMT as well as the guide found in the link below to update to the recently released stable build of Oreo

Did the data update files install for you?
My update fails at or near 70%
And I do not have the face unlock as listed in changelog.
Along with different version number on about phone screen.

And did it install with Project Treble support? Repartitioning/etc as needed? Or did it just somehow load the ROM on the current layout?

Mine went through fine and it went pretty fast too. I updated from the beta version of Oreo if that makes a difference.

That makes sense, why firmware finder says not for many. Because this one might be for beta updates

No "Repartitioning/etc" needed. If the L24 is just like the L34 (which I believe it is), it's already partitioned. Do a google search for how to view android partition table and you can verify it.

I got it to finish the update. Not sure which one of the two changes I made that made it work, but I will summarize.
I used the twrp install method I have been working on. It uses the same manual method that has been used to flash beta oreo.
But I was shortening the file names (both in the script and the file names in the folder) . This might have been the issue. So I changed the update script(not released yet) to use original file names. And Installed a second time from inside the partial oreo update . Based on previous post about successful updating from oreo beta worked, this might be the key.
This time update finished fully.
No error during flash, Full model name in about phone, face unlock works.

Oxygen OS 11 OPEN Beta 5 is out.

Update 4 : System
• Fixed the issue that the battery icon in the status bar is abnormally displayed
• Fixed known issues and improved system stability

• Fixed the issue where Bluetooth headsets are silent in aptX Adaptive mode

The download file will download as a .jar so you need to change the extension to .zip

guys i think they fixed data decryption this rom is android 11 all works good unoffical twrp is not working with this rom

i am using in stock no root and magisk

Again data decrpyt is not working you can root using the old patching boot img way. So no twrp be it Chinese or unofficial the user data decrpyt is still broken. You can root and it works fine with old patching method.

Could someone please provide me with or point me to a patched european oxygen os 11 boot image please?

Extract the img from the bin file using payload dumper.

My model is hd1900, is it global?
and after insall the rom did data wiped out?

Chinese: OnePlus 7T - Wikipedia
Data Wipe = Yes, at least for me with local upgrade.
I do have a wifi with WPA3 - 5GHZ not working, 2GHZ slow as hell. Just fyi.
Not connected to WPA3 - same on WPA2.... so WIFI = not usable for me.
Somewhat fixed... now back on WPA3 and at least 2 GHZ works fast... weird.

1. Gpay, CTS profile match - fail (fixed via root)
2. DC dimming, can't switch on ( may be via ADB commands)

EDIT: ROM works, is fluent as stock oos. Just beaware of the chinese bloatware
SECOND EDIT: Morelocales doesn't seem to work with this, atleast not without root :C Gonna have to stick with english
THIRD EDIT: It does work just have to disable permission monitoring under dev options

can you mirror the MSM package?

does it work for global version? and if I install can I go back to global ROM?

Link include MSM, just use it in top. Frimware works fine, and include more languages.

What camera is included?

Can someone compare battery life after usage?

Might be an idea to explain what this is.
A little context at least

works great and if you need play store just go to apkmirror.com and download the play store package, install, login to google and download the apps you need

ColorOS beta work okay for me.
The UI look different but has very similar options (as expected).
Sadly can not find boot.img to patch with Magisk since this is not a OTA update.

I am sure someone will be able to extract the boot img via adb etc. I will try and look at it later this week

looks pretty much the same to be honest, the room has some more customization features, but that is about it

How can i open volte and how can i do root in this rom ?

Question How to upgrade to Oxygen OS 12 Open Beta 3(C36)

Hello everyone, I am using an op9p with unlocked bootloader, and it is running oos 12 open beta2 now. Few days ago, Oneplus published a new update called C36, and I am trying to upgrade to it. However, each time I try to upgrade, I only got an "installation problem. Then I turned to the OxygenOS Updater, but even the update showed a "damaged file". Finally I download a file from the link, and I got a zip called "3a08e6de926493aedc3e04ee8b23476077c5b553.zip", which checksum is just like the pic

The expected md5 checksum in updater is "b121be03d8175bee2da76184a3719211", as you can see, it's different. But its SHA-1 checksum is just exactly equal the file name, so I am not sure about that if I have downloaded the right file now. Also, the local upgrade app can't see this zip.
Is there anyone already upgraded to the OB3? Or somebody can share his upgrade file? Thanks!

No dice. Afaik you need to use roll back zip, then flash ob1, ob2 and then ob3. Too much of hassle imo

Pretty much yes. Unless some one can figures out some solution. I tried flashig stock vbmeta and boot. Still didnt work. This incremental bs is crap. This is probably my last op device...

Download the update.
Download the "Local Update.apk. Run it.

I had a similar problem. From OB1 (rooted) I couldn't get OB2 installed using system update or the local update app. I tried flashing stock boot.img and vbmeta to unroot, but it didn't make any difference. Finally after OB3 came out (I was still on OB1), I reinstalled OB1 full zip using local upgrade app, took the OTA for OB2, then took the OTA for OB3 before rooting again. But now I'm probably stuck like you until the next full update is released (or we have to roll back for stable).

Yes. I dirty flashed "stable" A12 over ob2. Seems to work

Problem is to me... Oxygen Updater is loading a confusing long named zip file and the lokal Updater app didn't find the zip file on phone. The Name of the zip is wrong or something like that. Other Updates zip files with typical name does it find.

I think Oxygen Updater now shows ColorOS updates once you're on ColorOS.
Side note: thoughts, opinions, gripes about ColorOS? I'm in the US so I get OOS stock. Used OOS12 since the open betas. It was junk, still junk from what I hear/see. I've heard a few things about ColorOS but I'd like more input. Currently on Nameless. Only think that would be a huge blow was no support for arter97 kernel.

Maybe not the place for this. Is there anyway to disable OpenID in ColorOS? I want to try this but that is such an annoying feature. I changed the permissions and unistalled it but after a short period every sms and mms I would have to put my password in to send.

With Color OS 12.1 out we will surely get Oxygen OS 12.1 in a couple of weeks for it since it's basically the same thing.

OK I've noticed 3 different file names for 12.1. So they should all be the same. Now if someone gets the boot.img file with payload dumper from it can you please post it. I'm having a lot of trouble with payload dumper. Thank you

ColorOS is great for me. I use it form C.36..., LE2123 european model, living in Europa. No root.
I like it because it have all the beautifull gestures that stupid google removed from OxygenOS, for so called security...
I flashed on top OxygenOS (dirty flashed) and i have google services working very good.
You can uninstall apps or better use this awesome tool to debloat :

Extracted it yesterday using this payload_dumper, the only one that worked, I don't know why others don't.
