No OEM bootloader - Samsung Galaxy S20 / S20+ / S20 Ultra Questions &

Hi, I want to unlock the bootloader but the OEM Bootloader button doesnt appears in the develop options..... i try to change the time zone and all that but is not working and i cant dograde the SO
my phone is snapdragon
CSC VERSION G986U1OYM4HWD5
AP VERSION G986U1UES4HWD5
I think is XAA
How can i unlock the OEM? :c i want to root but i cant unlock that HELP!

United States version does not have OEM unlock. Changing date does nothing or waiting 7days. Have to use paid service to unlock bootloader

And I just noticed by the build number you posted, your device is to updated to use the paid service. You would need to be on bootloader 1 you are on bootloader 4 and there is no way to downgrade.

You can't root. You have to have an unlocked bootloader. Your device has been updated to far. You can't flash backwards. You can't unlock bootloader or root or any type of custom recovery

Which paid service can i use ?

Have a look at the below thread
no OEM Unlock toggle in dev options
as stated in the title on my s20 plus (SM-G968W) there is no toggle for OEM Unlock, its been a long time since ive tried to root and from what ive been able to pick up from googling is it may not be supported for my country or cpu manufacturer...

Bootloader Unlock Allowed - NO!!

I just check my ZL and it says Bootloader Unlock Allowed - NO
Does that mean I will never be able to unlock the bootloader and install custom ROMS? I have my phone rooted and its also SIM free if that matters. Would someone be kind enough to explain the consequences?
TIA

Don't worry mate (if initially your "BL unlock allowed" was "yes")! I read it in the XZ rooting thread that if you root with a locked BL then you might have a bug resulting into BL unlock status to not allowed. Doomlord has also posted a fix for this, i think. Have a look at this thread. Hope it helps.

The thing is, I didn't check if I was allowed to unlock my bootloader before I rooted it (banging my head against a wall as I type this). Any way to find out?
EDIT: Nevermind, I see that I have to flash it and if I had an unlockable BL, the status changes to yes, and if not, then nothing changes. However, how do I flash this seeing as how there is no CWM out yet?
AW: Bootloader Unlock Allowed - NO!!
There is CWM:
http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?p=39157612
But just for unlocked bootloader...
CWM for locked bootloader would be coming... krabapple is working on it...
hi mates,
if unlocking BL, i will lose BE2 & WM right? sr if this noob question was answered before
AW: Bootloader Unlock Allowed - NO!!
Yes, you loose that functionality.
And please don't ask the same question in several threads. Ask once and have patience until someone replies.
I have Xperia Z LTE C6603 with
bootloader unlock allowed:No
I Can change this to --> bootloader unlock allowed:Yes ?
as I can change it ?
Thanks.

[CLOSED]Force Unlocking Bootloader on Nokia 6.1

Hey,
I have been searching for an answer to this for quite a while, and I've found some information. Before you start bashing me in the comments, I do know that Nokia has disabled unlocking bootloaders on certain devices. My question is, is there 100% no (free) way of unlocking the bootloader on my phone, or just in general to get root. I am running Android 9, and I do have adb (of course).
Thank!
Also interested in this ... Don't want to let someone mess around with my phone .. used to do it myself
Short answer, no. By the looks of it there are currently no free tools, etc.
Long answer, yes but not accessible for us currently. There are ways to gain root access/unlock the bootloader on every device. Currently there are some unpatched exploits (that sometimes cannot even be fixed) in the Linux and Android system that are able to root devices, etc. The last few years showed that Baseband (proprietary Qualcomm code), the RAM (Rowhammer, Rampage) and other device features are attackable. Maybe KingoRoot or someone else might implement these exploits in the following years, and we get a free utility to root devices.

I'm quite new to this rooting stuff, therefore a few stupid questions:
I read that with old security patches, before Aug 2018 (was that still Android Pie?) it was possible to unlock the bootloader. Isn't there some way to downgrade the security patch to a version allowing to unlock?
Is it at all required to unlock the bootloader in order to be able to install LineageOS as provided by this link?
many thanks!
EDIT: Can you recommend any working alternative way to unlock the bootloader?

August 2018 would have been Oreo and YES currently you have to roll back to unlock bootloader. It's a PAID service to have this done. @singhnsk can aid you in doing this service. I as well as many others have used him to unlock our devices. You will have to use Team Viewer and let him remotely do his work.
Good luck!!
And actually, the main question is how to unlock? Bootloaderunlocker.apk dont work, it say me "google service error" help me please

You da Man! I had to try it a few times, but it worked.
Just to clarify point 3.
3. Now turn developer option on again click OK and as soon as you do you will be returned to previous menu. Immediately click "OEM unlocking", it will show a message and ask your password, (if set), and work.

SM -G960W S9 snapdragon Bootloader

Hi I have an s9 I went to check RMM State n OEM State in download mode and there is no RMM State Prenormal or OEM Lock Yes . I'm coming here as I was about to straight flash twrp but am unsure my knowledge would tell me with them not being there those security locks are are not in place n the bootloader is naturally unlocked on on my phone I'm also going to note that it is a snapdragon I don't see that hiding the two states from the bootloader states

Do you have OEM unlock in the developer options? Also what model phone do you have (kinda important to mention the model when asking for help).
If you have the model SM-G965U or SM-G965U1 the answer to this has been well asked/answered/discussed on the forum. The bootloader on this model can not be unlocked. It can not be rooted (maybe in future, but don't expect it to be anytime soon. Samsung did a good job locking this one down). You can not flash any custom firmware or recoveries to the phone.
If you have the SM-G9650 it looks like you would need to enable OEM unlock and possibly use some app to unlock the bootloader. I am not 100% sure on the usage of another app as well as OEM unlock, but OEM unlock should be present at least.
I have the sm-g960w canadian and no oem unlock has not appeared yet but on that same note inside download mode there is also nothing for rmm state prenormal/normal or oem lock yes/no It only shows FRP Lock the the Nox guard

Best thing I can suggest is you ask your question inside the forum for the Galaxy S9 model. There are active discussions on what it is your asking... including ones you have already participated in.

No, there isn't another one but rather the one you should be using.
For some reason you posted this in the Galaxy S9+ Q&A instead of the Samsung Galaxy S9 Q&A

Despite what the app does the forum rules don't exactly permit you to post where ever you feel like for any reason. Accidents happen, but trying to rationalize posting in the wrong forum is not a good thing. You have a Galaxy S9 and should be posting in that topic.
That being said all the info you need can (rather easily in fact, took longer cuz I'm on my phone doing this and making lunch) be found searching the forum. For the model you have I found multiple references to the phone not being rootable. I also found a post saying in the galaxy S9 forum the bootloader was locked, and another post saying TWRP does not support your model.
If you want to hash it out further I suggest you ask in the correct forum for your actual phone model.

Question unlock bootloader? SM-S901U1

Hello is there any way to unlock bootloader on U1 ? theres no oem unlock in options ( changing date doesnt work )
phone is from us ( XAA ) version.
any tool ? any guide ?
No US models can have the bootloader unlocked as of now, i think. Since the S7 it's been nearly impossible for U.S. models to unlock, the S8 was unlocked only since an engineer leaked some data.
So if you want to root your SOL, might need to get an international unlocked version.
S22 s901u snapdragon USA search for oem in settings and this shows up as a setting in developer options. Is there a way to enable or unhide this setting? Because my phone thinks that it is there or something...

You are not entirely correct. We have unlocked bootloader on us devices. But his s22 I'm sure is to far updated to be able to do anything.

No
Oem unlock does not exist on us devices. And if you have even had it update one time it is not possible to do

Oem unlocking must not be removed but hidden or disabled, because if it was removed it would not show up in search and then say it's under developer options. So you must be incorrect.
