I bought a LG MS25 recently in Brazil, but the problem is that the ROM does not come with WiFi option. I thought that it doesn't have WiFi hardware support, but i contact LG and they told me this cellphone supports WiFi, but my service provider (VIVO) could block it through the rom installled.
Anyway, i guess there are not MS25 in other countries with WiFi enabled, so i would like to try to flash the KS20 Rom in it, to see if it would enable wifi or not.
What do you think? There's any way to see if there's wifi hardware support or not? The KS20 Rom works on MS25 perfectly?
What would the rom changes in my cellphone?
hum.. I am not even sure this phone has officially been released yet, you may pretty much have a prototype. It should basically be a KS20 without 3G functionalites and with 850mhz band enabled though, although I am not sure if the qualcom chipset is the same on this handset (I suspect it is), you may be able to update it to some of the european branded KS20 roms currently available but if I were you I would not try it.
It's not a prototype, but i can leave some informations about it found on my own celular:
CPU: MSM7200
OS: Windows Mobile 6 V: 5.2.1626
ROM: v10a
Bootloader: v10a
Modem Firmware: V10a
Rom date: 2007-11-12
Processor: arm1136ejs msm7200
Memory: 82.03MB
But why wouldn't you put a european firmware?

Note that's not in English, and the picture isn't real, the MS25 does not have the frontal camera, only the back one
I would not put a european firmware because it is not the same phone so the hardware may be different, beside the NV certainly is different. Finally without the 850mhz band I am not sure it works with your phone operator in Brasil.
BTW the rom seems quite old. Older than the one of the first comercialised KS20 (10b)

Now one more question, here is common to block the SIM free choise for example one service provider, like i bought mine from Vivo and i can use only vivo chips, but according to a recent law here, we can unblock this for free, but i wouldn't like to change to other service provider, would it unblock the WiFi (802.11B + G) or it's impossible?

I am afraid the wlan functionalities of the phone have nothing to do with which sim is inserted or which provider it is connected to but more of what flash/firmware is currently running on the phone and if it allows this functionality. Does MS25 even have wifi ? Does your provider sells you the phone as wifi capable ? What are the differences between the MS20 and the MS25 ?

MS20 is from Claro and it's 900mhz/1800mhz/1900mhz
MS25 is from Vivo and it's 850mhz/1800mhz/1900mhz
But the problem is that LG says that MS25 has WiFi capability, but in the site isn't written. There's any way to see if there's wifi hardware without opening the phone?
if it's not written on LG's site it ia probably because it does not support it. It is likely that LG changed the qualcomm chipset for the American version of the phone to an older/cheaper one that does not handle 3G and wlan.
I'am about to recive my MS25 phone and i whanted to know if there is a way to read the chipset/CPU information so we can know if the WI-FI radio is absent or is turned off by software/firmware as it does not have the 3G radio.

recebi meu celular tambem... mas nda sobre a wi-fi... o que consegui mexer aki no maximo foi colocar o suporte a SDHC... estou com um cartao de 4GB funcionando OK no celular... muitos filmes em DivX jah dentro tb hehe

O que eu acabei fazendo é conectando ele por bluetooth class A pelo meu PC, pelo menos dah uns belos metros de conexão com activesync e além disso dah pra controlar ele pelo pc
pelo bluetooth é muito muito lento... 33k no maximo que consegui medindo com o resco file explorer... ou uso a net ( Vivo Smart Mail) ou o cabo USB mesm...
mas ainda sim keria o upgrade de ROM... quem sabe o WM6.1 heheheh

Sou novo aqui no forum (e no mundo dos forums tb....), pesquisei no goolge e encontrei esse forum falando sobre o Lg MS25.... nao sabia onde postar, entao postei aqui mesmo, ja que fala sobre o meu aparelho....
Vou tentar explicar o que houve....
De primeira, o buluetooth do meu aparelho nao tava funcionando mais.... (antes do problema acontecer estava tudo numa boa). Eu nao consiguia encontrar nem ser encontrado por outros aparelhos. No telefone estava tudo normal, diz que o bluetooh tava ligado e funcionando, mas como disse nao consiguia encontrar nem ser encontrado por outros aparelhos bluetooth.
Em seguida instalei um programinha da microsoft que usa o bluetooth do aparelho para transformar-lo em controle remoto do meu Laptop (na tentativa de esse programa mexer em alguma configuracao do aparelho e resolvesse o problema, sei la....), e ele chegou a voltar a funcionar. Ai fiz transferencia de arquivo e tudo, pra testar, e funcionou..... MAS quando fechei o programa o problema voltou. Ai reiniciei o celular, e agora o bluetooth nem liga mais. Da um erro em "SmartBT.exe". Em uma das minhas tentativas de liga-lo, deu um erro dizendo que nao tinha memoria suficiente, mais nao tinha nenhum programa rodando junto que pudesse consumir memoria (este erro so deu uma vez). Tentei conectar via cabo usb, mas apareceu uma msg dizendo que o dispositivo nao tem permissao para acessar o computador, o que eh incoerente pois, antes eu ate compartilhava internet via bluetooth (este recurso foi instalado automaticamente quando eu pareei o celular com meu computador via bluetooth). Talvez essas informacoes ajudemem alguma coisa.
Aguardo alguma ajuda.

Eu consegui mto mais que 33kBps, teoricamente a velocidade bluetooth 2.0 é de 3Mbits = 384KB/s
PS.. jah conseguiram entrar no modo de engenharia do celular... o codigo do KS20 nao funciona a principio... keria dar uma olhada nas coisas por la...

Yes, you do not even need to install the M250N rom, you can install Android 8 directly on your official M250DS rom, much less need to change the language, I'll write you now from my K10 M250Ds with Android 8 done exactly as I said, no problem until now

HI Guys, maybe someone can help me.
I've bought my Note 10+ in my carrier here in Brazil called Claro (ZTA) and usually with all my devices i change the ROM to the unlocked version, so i can be free from the bloatware that Claro puts on their devices. Well, removed the SIM Card from the note 10+ downloaded the ROM put into ODIN, did the procedure with Sucess. But even with all of this, when i do the firts the setup the version of the software remains ZTA/ZTA/ZTA/ZTA and should be ZTO/ZTO/ ZTA/ZTO if i'm not mistake.
Anyone can help me on how to get this done? i'm missing something?

3. Agora baixe a rom ZTO e passe novamente, quando intalar no aparelho deverá aparecer ZTO/ZTO/ZTO/ZTA

1. Use Odin 3.13.3
2. Download this rom with CSC OXM, your phone will be in the French rom. (I can't post the link here, look for the vnrom dot net website)
3. Now download the ZTO rom and swipe again, when you install it on the device you should see ZTO / ZTO / ZTO / ZTA

Estou com o mesmo problema queria colocar ZT0/ZT0/ZT0/ZTA após passar a ROM ZTO a última existente no Sammobile (Patch de Setembro) Passou de ZTA /ZTA/ZTA/ZTA para ZTA/ZTA/ZTO/ZTA apenas ficou um ZTO em vez de 3 ZTO seguidos.
A Rom ZTO é N975FOWO1ASHE
Se eu colocar qualquer rom OXM no caso N975FOXM1ASHE vai dar certo ?
Tem que ter os dois chips Brasileiros para ajudar a pegar o ZTO ,
porque toda a vez que eu fiz anteriormente sempre pegou a primeira .
Se vc me falar que vai dar certo blz , agora vai que pega outro CSC e depois não sai mais
I have the same problem I wanted to put ZT0 / ZT0 / ZT0 / ZTA after passing the ROM ZTO the last existing on the Sammobile (September Patch) It went from ZTA / ZTA / ZTA / ZTA to ZTA / ZTA / ZTO / ZTA just got a ZTO instead of 3 ZTO in a row.
The ZTO Rom is N975FOWO1ASHE
If I put any OXM rom in the N975FOXM1ASHE case will it work?
You have to have the two Brazilian chips to help get the ZTO,
because every time I did it always got the first one.
If you tell me it will work, now it will take another CSC and then it won't come out anymore

Gostaria de saber como resolveram o problema narrado neste tópico pois estou com o mesmo problema, atualizei para rom stock da Samsung meu Galaxy S20+ SM-G985F só que a rom ZTA continua la. Agora
o item "Versão de SW da operadora" consta ZTA/ZTA/ZTA/ZTO/ZTA. usei o ODIN 3.14.4 e PDA-G985FXXU1ATCH
CSC-G985FOWO1ATCH. Agradeço desde já qualquer ajuda.

If you have root you can manually change your CSC without wiping data or flashing other firmwares
Steps:
1. Open some root capable text editor/file browser - I use Root Explorer
2. Edit /efs/imei/mps_code.dat
3. You should now see your current CSC Code
4. Edit it to whatever code you want your device to be. It needs to be 3 capital letters.
5. Save
6. Reboot and hope for the best
7. In my case it rebooted twice and then It loaded with the CSC I wanted it to be.
It also does switch from 4G icon to LTE/LTE+!

1. ROM doesn't have any CSC included as now csc have separate partition (ODM). ROM will not erase/flash/modify files inside odm partition it and you will have your existing CSC even after flashing a ROM

Information for the Administrators / Moderators of the forum, I know I would have to write in English but writing in Portuguese helps in a faster and more efficient way because it has terms or words that translated into English makes it difficult to understand.
Anyway, the forum administration can remove the message if necessary
Em relação a remover o vinculo de Operadora Brasileira no caso da Claro identificada por ZTA , no Note 10 + SM-N975F , após estudar com resolveria o problema , foi resolvido da seguinte forma :
1º Baixei uma Rom Europeia sem vinculo no caso a da Alemanha (DBT), Pode ser uma outra deve funcionar da mesma forma
2º Utilizei a ultima versão do Odin atualmente é Odin v3.14.4
3º Antes de passar a rom no Aparelho coloquei dois chips Brasileiros , pode ser dois chips diferentes ou da mesma operadora
mas certifique-se que ambos pegam rede , os dois chips vai fazer com que vc pegue o CSC Ativo ZTO que é o CSC do Brasil.
4º No odin e já com a rom baixada para o seu aparelho tenha atenção que baixa a rom certa no seu caso se quer remover o vinculo de um Note 20 Ultra terá que baixar a rom conforme o modelo que vc tem consigo porque no Brasil existe Note 20 Ultra com 5G e sem 5G
5º Vc apenas irá usar 4 opções das 5 disponíveis no Odin , vc usará BL,AP,CP e CSC , no CSC vc terá que colocar o arquivo CSC_OMC_OWO_ incluindo na Rom que vai baixar, usando esse CSC_OMC_OWO irá resetar todo o seu aparelho e alterar seu CSC Ativo para ZTO
6º Depois de concluir a configuração não perca muito tempo porque irá ser resetado de novo, terá que baixar a Rom de novo mas desta vez para o Brasil ,anteriormente baixou de um país europeu agora terá que ser a rom ZTO sem vinculo .
Mesmo procedimento , mantenha os dois chips no celular e passe a rom ZTO sem vinculo usando o odin , use o arquivo CSC_ para resetar de novo o aparelho , sendo para remover o vinculo nunca use o HOME_CSC porque irá manter seus dados e o vinculo com a operadora
7º Baixe o aplicativo Phone Info SAMSUNG na PlayStore para verificar o estado do seu CSC Ativo, na Aba "Codigo CSC" se tudo estiver certo verá ZTO onde diz Codigo CSC Ativo
Qualquer duvida ou dificuldade pode me enviar mensagem privada sem quiser !

Sorry for the delayed response.
I would suggest that you don't mind what the firmware zone is and use the ones of your preference.
You should mind only that different countries may use alternate radio setups from ours so, therefore, interfering with our cell connection quality. I would advise you to stick flashing ZTO/ZTA versions only.
Now to address the bloatware issue, I would like you to refer to @Neo3D thread (link below) that will free you from all that undesirable stuff.

4º No odin e já com a rom baixada para o seu aparelho tenha atenção que baixa a rom certa no seu caso se quer remover o vinculo de um Note 20 Ultra terá que baixar a rom conforme o modelo que vc tem consigo porque no Brasil existe Note 20 Ultra com 5G e sem 5G
5º Vc apenas irá usar 4 opções das 5 disponíveis no Odin , vc usará BL,AP,CP e CSC , no CSC vc terá que colocar o arquivo CSC_OMC_OWO_ incluindo na Rom que vai baixar, usando esse CSC_OMC_OWO irá resetar todo o seu aparelho e alterar seu CSC Ativo para ZTO
6º Depois de concluir a configuração não perca muito tempo porque irá ser resetado de novo, terá que baixar a Rom de novo mas desta vez para o Brasil ,anteriormente baixou de um país europeu agora terá que ser a rom ZTO sem vinculo .
Mesmo procedimento , mantenha os dois chips no celular e passe a rom ZTO sem vinculo usando o odin , use o arquivo CSC_ para resetar de novo o aparelho , sendo para remover o vinculo nunca use o HOME_CSC porque irá manter seus dados e o vinculo com a operadora
7º Baixe o aplicativo Phone Info SAMSUNG na PlayStore para verificar o estado do seu CSC Ativo, na Aba "Codigo CSC" se tudo estiver certo verá ZTO onde diz Codigo CSC Ativo

Não daria para fazer esse procedimento com 2 chips ja com a rom ZTO sem vinculo do Brasil diretamente, sem baixar o ROM europeia porque o modelo G985 F com "F" no final deve ser exclusivo do Brasil não?

Esse Procedimento com 2 Chips Brasileiros é exactamente para remover o vinculo , em aparelho ZTO sem vinculo não tem necessidade de fazer , até porque vc já recebe atualização OTA sem esperar pelo Operador ,Modelo com" F" quer dizer que é Aparelho com Processador Exynos , a venda somente na Europa e no Brasil, no Restantes Países do Mundo incluindo os Estados Unidos vem com "U" que é Aparelho com Processador Snapdragon.

2º Utilizei a ultima versão do Odin atualmente é Odin v3.14.4
3º Antes de passar a rom no Aparelho coloquei dois chips Brasileiros , pode ser dois chips diferentes ou da mesma operadora
mas certifique-se que ambos pegam rede , os dois chips vai fazer com que vc pegue o CSC Ativo ZTO que é o CSC do Brasil.

The two chips Method as I explained earlier is to put the CSC Active as ZTO again after using the European rom,
if you only use one chip in a European rom for my experience it will remain in the European Active CSC.

I am using Redmi Note 8 Pro Global. After updating to Android 11 I have noticed that the system update UI has been changed to stock android UI. I got the latest update via OTA but I couldn't find the option to manually update from the file like I use to do previously. Anyone else has the same issue and if so anyone can help me fix the issue. Attached is the screenshot of the issue also I have watched few videos on youtube and others have proper MIUI system update UI.

Start of the video you can see the system update UI but in my screenshot, I get totally different UI.
Same with me .. but that's not the worst thing.
My version is 12.5.3 global and the device is practically unusable .. random reboots, battery draining, apps can't open properly most of the time only black or white screen appears.
I have to downgrade to miui v12.0.8, as it is the last stable version for my rn8 pro.

Hello download Activity Launcher app, open it and search for "update" press on top and put it as a shortcut on home screen, ready to update manually. Hope this helps
