Hi
given alot of methods on XDA and others i was stuck on enabling some type of data toggle switch widget or any thing but none worked. Every one opened the settings app for enabling data.
Finally i figured the folowing method
1. Root your device using CF-Auto-Root-zenltetmo-zenltetmo-smg928t.zip from Cf-Auto Root Website use Google
but first sheck Enable OEM Unlocking in Developer options. Flash the above Cf-Autoroot Package Using Odin From Download Mode.
Turn Off Your Device and Press Volume Down + Power + Home Button. Confirm By Volume Up its Download Mode
2. Install View attachment Power_Toggles_6.0.4.apk
3. Add Widget to home screen.
4. Enjoy Data Toggle Switch on Marshmallow
Checked on Android Version 6.0.1.
Hi Everyone,
My android phone details:
Xiaomi Redmi 1S
Custom ROM based on AICP
Android ver. 7.1.2
Possibly I'm on Guest Mode
My Concern
Few days back,
I realized that my Magisk not working
Then, gradually found out
Home button, Recent buttons stopped working
Notifications not popping up
Google Play store throwing user error for my Google Account
I suspect myself on Guest Mode
Settings->Users, not opening any user list
'Developer Options not available for this user' msg appears when I clicked on Settings->Developer Options
What Did I Do So Far:
My phone not booting into TWRP recovery mode when (Power Off+Volume Up) pressed all together as my phone always boots up into system(means to OS) & not into TWRP recovery.
I tried Nova Launcher using 'Activities' trick;
in Setup wizard, I was unable to find out
SetUpWizardTestActivity or SetUpWizardUpgradeActivity options which supposed to flash my phone
There's only one option called "Activating Mobile Service" which no use
What My Phone Can Do:
It can boot into Fastboot mode only by holding VolumeDown+PowerOff 2gether, then I can clearly see Xiaomi bunny logo appears along with Fastboot text appears.
What information Do I Need:
Since Developer Options not accessible on my phone, how can I connect my phone to pc & initiate ADB commands,
Is it possible? Bcz 'Usb debugging'can't be toggle over from Settings -> Developer Options
Can Anybody find out for custom ROM, how can Nova Launcher trick works i need file location for these files
SetUpWizardTestActivity, SetUpWizardUpgradeActivity SetUpWelcome something like this
I learned that on Samsung phones
These files can be easily mapped under SetupWizard
Try flashing MIUI via fastboot mode since you are able to boot into fastboot mode(yes I know USB debugging is off) still give it a try.
MIUI Fastboot ROMs are available on MIUI Forum.
If are able to use play store then try apps which allows to boot into recovery trough app.
There's an app "simple reboot for rooted users" by Fransisco Franco, this app works fine to boot into recovery mode.
Try and see if your device able to boot into recovery mode.
If play store not working then sideload apps from internet.
Or
Try flashing custom recovery again using twrp manager, flashify or other recovery flashing apps or just flash recovery via fastboot method and try booting into recovery mode.
Also make sure to other your choice ROM ready to flash in memory card or in pen drive (using otg cable.)
If I remember correctly nougat ROMs are quite heavy for Redmi 1S because whenever I used them I had lag and heat up when using mobile data.
Other than that they are good, I am currently using MIUI 9 on Redmi 1S since it's not my primary device.
Developer Options are not available for this user message appears when
I click on Settings->Developer Options
Device: Infinix Hot 5 lite
Android Version: 7.0
My main concern;
To recover deleted messages
What I have done so far;
Option 1.
I tried Nova Launcher using 'Activities' trick;
in Setup wizard, I was unable to find out
SetUpWizardTestActivity or SetUpWizardUpgradeActivity options which supposed to flash my phone
"I only have one "Setup Wizard" with one option under it a: ".activating cellular service". Selecting that doesn't seem to help"
Option 2.
Settings > About Phone > Build number > Tap it 7 times to become developer;
I have tried tapping 5, 7 or even 100 times and "you're now developer" message never shows up

I have the same problem
did yall ever come up with a solution for this?
Hello, Mi A2 lite is under Android One project of Google, you know!
However,
My phone has Miui Camera app by default. But I don't like it that much. I want to use 3rd party camera apps , for example Google Camera / GCam. So I have to enable " Camera 2 api ".
My phone's bootloader is locked and it's not rooted.
Now if I enable developer mode , then enable USB debugging, then I'll connect to my PC and use ADB Shell command to enable Camera 2 api then..
Will I get any OTA updates or not?
Simply I want to get all updates as I am getting now and I want to do use ADB commands without rooting my device or unlocking the bootloader.
Please help me!
Greetings,
I just wanted to share my solution to resolution of a brand-new Moto G7 Power XT1955-5 having the developer option "OEM Unlock" disabled. I see issues for a separate model here:
https://forum.xda-developers.com/g7-power/help/oem-unlock-greyed-t4061763
I do not know if my solution will work for other models. My XT1955-5 was manufactured in 2020 06 and purchased in US.
My intent here was to get the bootloader unlocked for installation of custom ROMS as quickly as possible.
Start Phone
Skip all setup options.
Enable Developer Mode
Enable USB Debug
In about phone > time/ date settings, disable all toggles
Set phone to a period of 8 days ago - arbitrary number
Reset Phone
Reset Date to correct date (leave toggles as-is)
Connect to a wireless network with access to Internet (I was using a WiFi, and did not try data)
Read first before attempt - Done quickly -> Phone begins downloading security patch (or it begins with next step - not sure) - Done quickly -> Attempt to set up an account (Google) whilst phone is downloading security patch - account setup waits for security patch update - Proceed to developer options - OEM Unlock toggle is available - Toggle during download.
I strongly suspect that there is some trigger associated with either downloading a security update, or simply attempting to enable an account on the phone (which requires you to be connected to data), but I do not know which. It is likely that there is not specific time sensitivity involved, but I am including my exact actions that resulted in success.
I hope it helps. Happy development!

Yes. The bootloader is now unlocked. I did have to obtain an unlock code from Motorola. The primary issue here was the inability to toggle "OEM Unlock".
I was using Motorola's guides that are linked from this website:
support . motorola . com/us/en/solution/MS87215
* Your warranty is now void.
* I'm not responsible for bricked devices, dead SD cards,
* Please do some research if you have any concerns about features included in this recovery
* before flashing it! YOU are choosing to make these modifications, and if
* you point the finger at me for messing up your device, i will laugh at you.

Guide for flashing system image:
Flash recovery for snapdragon version, i'm using: OrangeFox Recovery is also provided for exynos soc
Please do everything that is written for flashing recovery (Installation), u need to disable encryption and wipe data
reboot when you sure recovery is permanent and check if phone is on "hello screen"
How to boot on recovery first time BEFORE "hello screen":
Uncheck reboot after flash AP recovery in Odin, unplug cable and then push vol - and power -> immiedietly after turn off download mode hold vol + and power and plug in cable -> now should work
Flash GSI image:First you need to download image from here: here or find thread here: click. This images have Google Apps allready included.
Remember to use arm64 with b !
Reboot to recovery
Now u should see on PC when u connect via cable internal memory - copy image to folder, probably should be "Fox" or create new
Touch files, find image
Now select to flash System image
Reboot
And thats it you should boot to system.
Post install settingsOn Phh Treble Settings set:
Samsung features:
Use alternate audio policy
Enable stereo audio mode
Enable extended brightness range
Enable double tap to wake (if u want)
Enable reversed wireless charging (if u want to reverse charge other device)
Enable access to all cameras
Enable extra sensors
Misc features:
Force FPS to [email protected] if you want 120Hz refresh rate display
On camera set expose aux cameras and force enable camera2api
Select Use System Wide BT HAL if u use bluetooth headphones and don't have audio (tested on galaxy buds 2)
Qualcomm features:
select use alternate camera profile if u have trouble with ultrawide photos
Root access on Pixel Experience Plus:
You should first patch boot img from your stock samsung rom what you allready using
U need to select ap tar.img file in Magisk and wait to be patched
Extract boot.img from it after patch
Flash boot img in recovery on boot image
Root stays even if you reflash system on other GSI
Works:
WiFi 2.4GHz and 5GHz
RIL (phone and mobile data)
Bluetooth with bluetooth audio
fingerprint sensor
Google Pay with NFC (you need to pass safynet check if you have magisk)
120Hz display
Camera front and back (you need other camera app for using ultrawide photo)
Fastcharge
Stereo speakers
Galaxy accessories (Watch 4 and Buds 2 tested)
MHL mode
Probably other functions too
Not work/problems:
Netflix have videwine L1 but no HDR content support
Movies only record max on 30FPS on 4K
On the go don't work any of galaxy wearable devices, you need to patch via magisk some files
Clear View cases (phone don't response for open or close case) even on AOD
Some problems with updates for Chrome and web framework (need to install manual newer version)
Device is showing as Huawei Nexus 6P need to be changed somehow to our model
Workaund for Galaxy Wearable and Google Pay:
Magisk need to be in zygisk mode
Flash Universal SafetyNet Fix, here: github download
Install FoxMMM for magisk modules finder here: here, find and install MagiskHide Props Config
Flash this for workaund of wearables: gdrive module download
Now download Galaxy wearables from store, and plugins for your proper device form apkpure or other website.
You need to allow all permisions for apps first
Try to find your watch and pair it, you need to be fast to accept all pop ups - u dont need to login to samsung account , for me got it after 2-3 try, you should see "prepairing device" etc.
For galaxy buds should be easier just find it and pair.
Google Pay works out of the box after installing this modules
Get better sound and equalizer:
If you want to have better audio - you need to flash magisk module ViperFX
Download here: click here on github
Flash via magisk
Uncheck legacy mode for work

Greetings. Since this appears to be a "guide," I have changed the thread designation accordingly.

@hunter3000 i think you can change the model number in the build.prop if im not mistaking
Hi, can i flash it like the offical pixel experience? Because the offical one is a zip file and this one not
this is GSI style rom, not specific ROM for specific model, so you must flash it by twrp or by fastboot command. Like universal rom for all phones than have project treble.
Thanks for support
Im looking to xda everyday for a stable pixel rom

Majority of GSI are stable but you will have bugs tho. Like either bad battery life or camera isnt working
On this build all functions is working, for camera ultrawide support you need 3rd party app like OpenCamera.

you must disable encryption to boot to non official rom, so you got answer for your question
Master, any solution to this ? "Device is showing as Huawei Nexus 6P need to be changed somehow to our model ", and Call Recording is working on this version ? many thanks for your hard work to G990B version.
This device showing is related to magisk safenet fix for working root with NFC and banking apps but probably also because of GSI rom as is. No call recording as is stock Pixel Experience ROM u need to root and use some magisk module.
Works great on my Samsung s21fe just charging.. sometimes works then other times says it's charging and then does down. Doesn't really go up unless phone is off.
May I know if VoWifi / VoLTE works?
