So guys,I've applied to unlock my bootloader to xiaomi. After over a month of waiting I don't think are going to send me the SMS,are there any unofficial ways to unlock my mi Max's bootloader as of now?
No, but you can flash TWRP and do anything you want without unlocking it. See here: http://forum.xda-developers.com/mi-max/how-to/guide-install-global-miui8-root-t3435594
That's what I have been doing but installing a ROM with a locked bootloader in my case will result in data not working.Ice tried several Roms.
Dont wait for the sms. Try unlocking it using the MiFlashUnlock. It should work. I also did not receive the sms but tried after 3 days and it went through fine. Bootloader is unlocked.
Hi,can you post a link for MiFlashUnlock?
http://en.miui.com/unlock/download_en.html

Anything? Like Magisk http://forum.xda-developers.com/apps/magisk/mod-magisk-v1-universal-systemless-t3432382 ?
If I use ADB to remove bloatware on the F3, will I lose my warranty? Is the Xiaomi ADB official (from Xiaomi)? Do I also lose my warranty if I unlock the bootloader and install a custom ROM? If not does Xiaomi say so on their website? What is the difference between using ADB and just deleting them manually? Thanks!
You will not use your warranty by using adb to remove bloatware. However you do waver your warranty by unlocking the bootloader to put a custom ROM on it. However you can theoretically still get a replacement despite this wavering of a warranty

Thanks! What do you mean theoretically? Can I just install MIUI again and lock the bootloader and sent it for warranty, without them finding out that I unlocked it?

You should be find. I have never had a Xiaomi and so didn't know how supportive they are. The official advice by Xiaomi is here:
What do you need to know about unlocking?
First and foremost you can only unlock your own device. This means the unlocking tool you downloaded must be logged in with the same Mi account on your device. One Mi account could only unlock one device within 30 days
Isn't locking bootloader against Mi's 'geek' spirit?
Locking bootloader is aimed to provide a better user experience, which we've been trying to do the whole time. In the meantime, we've provided an unlocking tool for senior users who know their ways around flashing and tweaking their devices.
The unlocking procedure will need Internet access to get the unlocking password. Also, the Mi Account logged in on the Mi phone and the unlocking tool needs to be the same. Otherwise, the unlocking request will be denied. This will ensure that ill-intentioned people will not get access to your personal data.

They supported my Mi 9T Pro without any problem

No. Even if there was: NEVER FLASH SOMETHING WITHOUT THE BOOTLOADER UNLOCKED. If you do you have a very high risk of a SOFT BRICK meaning you have to send your phone to a service centre
Don't want to intercept this thread but just wanted to ask. Will I need to have my phone turned off while waiting for the 1 week period or can I just use it normally?

Yes, unlocking the bootloader will make a factory reset on most devices.

when i use mi unlock, it didn't show warning about factory reset or erase all data. Does that mean it won't do that?
No, it means a factory reset will be performed all the same.
I saw this thread explaining how to unlock bootloader without losing data
Unlock bootloader without losing data
For those who are waiting to unlock bootloader but don´t want to lose data this quick guide is intended to do so. Usually in most of threads out there about unlocking anyone find the typical phrase "unlock bootloader erase all your data" like is...

Will this work with Mi 11x? Has anyone tried it?
No. Because mi unlock tool is now changed.

How about using the same version that he uses in the guide?
Old tool works only on older devices. Newer ones are patched and the workaround doesn't work except a few new tools that work only on Mediatek exploits
I see. Thanks!
