You cannot decrypt data without wiping the device. It's an Android security function.

Samsung has encryption enabled by default in their vendor
In order to disable it, you have to manually do it with a multidisabler that works for your device.

Last resort is going to custom recovery and wipe user data/cache, which is like a factory reset, you'll loose all data and app.

Before you do that, install Titanium backup and backup all user app's and data. Saves a lot of trouble to reinstall all apps with their settings

I just finished rooted my Verizon G4 (which by the way doesn't wipe any data and took less than 15 minutes). What I'd love to have is Xposed though, is there any update on either Xposed without TWRP, or getting TWRP on our Verizon G4's?
I just want to confirm -- it doesn't wipe any of your internal/sd card data?

No all my apps and settings were there after flashing the rooted tar. Root stays after a factory data reset too.
Where is this root, of which you speak?

Try formatting data to f2fs and then back to ext4 in twrp, that might do it

Nice 1 didn't know this existed
This works for me and also removes the red warning during booting.

Is it disabled in order for it to work or can it be re-enable after?
You can flash twrp without disabling encryption. If you were having any problems with decryption later you could format data and have it working again. Backup your stuff before flashing if you're unsure.

Thank you so much for the clarification. I was under the impression it would be gone completely.
