So it looks like this might be my next phone but I have a few questions
1. Is it still worth it to have my samsung galaxy watch 4? I know there are a few features that you lose if you dont have a samsung device like ECG and body measurement features.
2. Is it going to be better to get the pro instead of waiting til next year to get the s21 ultra because I was thinking about that as well since the price might come down.
1. Yes keep it, you loose very little with this (if anything). You can enable blood pressure and ECG with this (currently running it on OnePlus 8Pro and it works without issues):

2. No one can tell you what is better for you but I can share how I decided to return to Google.
The most important phone feature for me always been smoothness. Long time ago I switched from Nexus 5 to Samsung Note 4. It was supposed to be a step up with the newer processor, but Sammy let me down big time.
I was shook by how much smoother the Nexus was. I was chasing for a better performance for Note 4, so I tried rooting, custom roms etc., but without luck. Nexus 5 was simply much better in that regard.
What I learned about Google phones in the long run:
I was used to getting a poorer and poorer performance from Samsung as the phone aged. With Nexus and Pixels it was always the other way around. In my experience Google phones were not that great when they got released, but in months, with help of updates, they started flying.
I loved the community support around these devices. What most called 'a plain' version of Android, happened to be as rich in functionality as I would want them to be (with help of rooting and some neat apps). Also, Google phones had the reputation of being a compromise choice. E.g. with Pixel 2 people didn't like the screen. Meanwhile I absolutely adored it because I knew there were tools that allowed you to adjust display as you like. If not the community, I would've never learned about this though.
Reviews never called full justice over these devices for some reason. I was rarely finding a review that would justify my experiences with Google phones. It felt like the reviewers were playing around with them for a couple of weeks and then putting them back to the drawer. A Nexus/Pixel in early days without rooting for me seemed like a waste (things have changed now days, I don't see a reason for rooting anymore).
I split ways with Pixel after 2XL. Although it was a really amazing phone, Pixels 3 and 4 didn't seem attractive for me with the price.
I went to OnePlus with 7 PRO which was offering a clean enough OS, smooth performance and insane screen. Really amazing phone.
8 PRO is still ok, but it never felt like a step forwards from 7 PRO (except from camera). Software updates got very slow, i'm not even sure if 8 is supported anymore, lol. I have very little to no hope in regards to the unified OS they are bringing.
I have 0 complaints about Galaxy Tab S7, so I considered Samsung 21 Ultra. I liked it when I got a chance to use it in a store. But after the atrocious experiences with Note 4 and some short time spent with Galaxy 9, 10, I still don't see myself using a Samsung phone.
In Pixel 6 video comments I saw people raging on 21 Ultra for slowness, battery issues so it looks like not much has changed unfortunately.
When I heard about Google working on a chip for Pixel, that got me excited. As long as it's at least comparably as fast as SD 865, but is smooth, I will be more than happy to return to the vanilla Android. Can't lie, I missed it.
Summarizing, if you owned a Pixel before, you should know pretty well what's to expect and whether you liked it or not. If that would be your first Pixel device, just go for it. This year seems to be the best time ever to join #TeamPixel.

You make some really great points. If I can get those features paired with a 6 pro then I'll probably go for it. I don't normally use those features but it's just something about me if I don't get the full of experience of a device I paid $450 for. This does seem like the perfect time to move over to pixel. Battery life means a lot to me and with that 5000mah I'm pretty much sold on it. On top of that if this is anything like what apple is doing with their bionic chip then battery life should be really good.
I'm also not sure if I should do 128gb or 256gb

I have a galaxy watch 4 with a pixel 4xl. I use the modified apps and they work great. It's not hard at all to get them installed. Simple ADB for the watch.

I don't know if you've bought the phone yet, but you may want to hold off on that. I've been having problems - the watch (Galaxy Watch 4) and phone (6 Pro) both pair initially just fine. But if I restart my phone, the phone won't reconnect to the watch, and the galaxy wearable app seems to have forgotten the watch. The only way to reconnect them is to reset the watch completely. Considering returning the phone over it.

I have the same setup as you. I don't have this issue at all. Maybe occasionally after a reboot I'll have to go the app and hit connect, but it's quick to do so.
Overall, I think the experience is what I hoped for.

Thanks for the advice. It does seem like a good time to join the Pixel family. Only device I've seen previously is my partner, who has a Pixel 4a, which I've used a bit, and I found it to be a impressive device.
I'll stick with it for now, maybe do a factory reset without restoring from a backup, go in fresh, and maybe that will help with this problem.

Battery life has been strange for me on the device - sometimes it's unbelievably good, other times, it seems to drain quite fast. But I haven't really kept track of my usage on those days, so it could have been something I'm doing sometimes to drain it fast.

It can drain fast if you have weak cell service and its also adaptive battery so it could be learning your usage

It really is dude. You turn on adb debugging on the watch, connect to it via wifi, put in like 3 commands and done. Also, if you're in XDA, this is probably the most simple thing you do to devices.
Adb connect 'ip'
Adb -s install 'ip' watch4.xxx
Adb disconnect 'ip'
Done
I have no issue with pairing. Phone and watch work good together.
Well after being excited to get the Pixel 6 Pro with all the hype of best pixel phone in years, i have returned the phone after finding it disappointing. Probably the phone i have been most disappointed with ever, So i have gone back to my Huawei P30 Pro
main issues are battery life, after finding the phone struggling to get through a day on a charge, after googling and finding turning off the 5g and 120hz display improves battery life. WHAT the main features of the phone drain the battery too much, battery life on P30 is 2 days for me constantly (i know peoples usage will vary), but after Lumia phones and Huawei it was like going back to Iphone 3 days barely getting 24hrs on a charge.
also the UI is terrible, how is this an improvement the notification area with the huge tiles take up so much room that you have to scroll to the right to see most of the shortcuts etc. P30 is much more intuitive and fewer steps to do the same action
The Google search bar/ assistant and clock can't be moved or resized so much for customising android, none of these restrictions on P30
Colour theming what a joke to the point of being pointless couldn't pick the colour i wanted and the choice of 4 colour LOL, P30 has a huge colour theming section and is easy pick what colour you want and away to go
You will need a case for the phone it will literally slide off everything, i know a lot pf people fit cases but you wont have any choice with the Pixel 6 or it'll end up in broke
I would go as far to say EMUI 4 was better than android 12 on the Pixel 6, only good point was the camera
Only thing I'd agree with is that Huawei makes some of the best phones and I wish they were sold for US carriers. As for this phone, it's getting better every day for me. Of course there are some annoyances here and there but battery life isn't bad for me. I still have mine on 5g and 120hz and getting 8ish hour SOT with full day use. You really should have waited a bit to try a pure aosp build. I found the google [bloat|spy]ware to be bad enough that I couldn't put my sim card in it because it was completely unusable. Running pure aosp built from source and its like a dream.
Under very heavy use since about 7am this morning (its now after 3), I'm still over 70% battery, including leaving 120hz enabled. Not 5g though, my carrier only has LTE for now.
Some of your complaints don't really matter. The quick settings pane for example is a feature of android 12, not the google build, so no matter who sells you the phone, you'll have that eventually anyway.

i had no where near that battery time, fully charged at 9:00am out on the mtb for 6 hrs with pics on the way normal use after that by 8:00 pm 15%
The UI is just not as intuitive, take restricting apps working in the background pixel you have to go to each app individually, P30 the settings for all apps are on one page, just simpler

After the N20U Samsung released nothing I like and their last really great flagship is the N10+ running on Q.
2021, issues with variable rate displays, 5G and scoped storage galore. The usual Samsung Fold display delamination issues. For flagship SD card support you either got to use older Samsung flagships or go Chinese.
The Pixel Pro seems to numerous rude surprises. OK, maybe it's not horrible but not a flagship level device either... it's ok at best. It's user interface is subpar as usual with no substantial speed advantage to show for it. Why not just get an Apple rather than a Pixel at this rate?
I doubt even Samsung can modify Android 11/12 enough to make it user friendly; Pixel barely tried to fix their nightmare OS.
Small wonder Pixel as such a dismal market share... they earned it.

Note 9 owner
Everyone knows the 10 lineup was literally a downgrade in all the ways literally a minor cpu bump and a 3rd camera.
You lost iris scanner, spo2 ,heart rate , headphone jack and sd card slot on certain models.
It was also the mark of samsung making like 4 3/4 different models of phone which had worse hard ware than previous versions unless you get the top top end.
For example the fact screens on the note10 itself are worse than 9.
It literally started the mark of samsung killing off the note line with the making it a glorified Samsung Galaxy with a pen in which case then note 20ultra is worse that the galaxy 20 ultra in a lot of ways.
It's not even ahead of software updates since the note 10 lite uses the same chipset as the s9/n9 so it's easily ported to them.
So yeah the fact you said that means you literally have no clue on the state of it.
Also you think Samsung will simplify it gl they literally need to make a new ui every year because they can't do it right it's improving but still , if you don't like stock android get different launcher.
At least we know we going to get software support for a long time and direct also support

As you stated in so many posts you have 2 Note 10's so I can only assume that your opinion is pure speculation! Did a clean install and don't have any issues at all. When the Note 20 Ultra first came a lot of members were having issues with it to because of importing data and apps from an old phone, once they did a FDR all the problems magically disappeared! Just saying...........................

I read a lot. The Pixel UI... well each to his own is the best I can say.
The N20U has display issues caused by the variable frequency, the N10+ color rendering exceeds the N20U, S21U and likely the P6pro.
I have extremely good color perception, top 1% so I find color aberrations annoying with displays. The 10+ is near spot on even after two years of heavy usage. I'll do a color test between the new and old one to see how tight the calibration is just for kicks sometime.
The N20U is running on R, enough said.
Some of both have 5G, not worth the increased battery usage. This problem persists in most of the newest devices. Variable rate displays, 5G and especially scooped storage are not mature technologies and continue to underperform.
Stats with pics... or it never happened.
Here's what a stock N10+ Snapdragon/P variant did just today with a 4300mAh battery. About one hour is watching utube vids, the rest browsing. The N10+ isn't even breaking a sweat...
The entire pre-order mess has soured my excitement for the phone. Google showed early November delivery, now shows mid January. It seems to cut costs, Google went with outdated and inferior parts and made some strange sacrifices. Samsung always gives it's competitors last year's display tech. Android 12 feels largely incomplete, much like hipster aesthetics were put before functional changes. I have been excited to get a flagship that has a clean base, can be rooted and built upon, but if the hardware is subpar, it may not be worth it.
With Samsung phones, I've debloated and modded almost every element to my liking without even needing root. Custom themes, custom fonts, custom clock styles and placement, always on display scheduling, ability to hide the navigation bar, and endless GoodLock modules to fine tune the UI are all things stock Android 12 can't do. That said, it's always bugged me that Samsung phones have roughly 300 preloaded system apps, where stock Android has about 100. I'm debating whether to cancel the P6P preorder and wait for the S22 Ultra.

I was comparing my 2 N10+'s, one running on 9, the other 10. The 10 variant has dozens of small apks that show on the package disabler, but they're not bloatware. Samsung deliberately moded Android 10 to make it more user friendly and functional. It runs very well.
The S21 isn't anything I want but it shreds the P6pro.
However both are having display issues. I would at least wait for the dust to settle...
Hold out until Samsung gets their act together again if you can... it may take a year or two. Latter 2022 or perhaps 2023. I wouldn't hold my breath... it may take until 2024 to arise from the ashes of mediocre and lack of features.

Keep in mind you can't unlock the bootloader on recent Samsung phones without breaking the camera completely. I had nothing against them until now but this is major BS on their part.

To be fair, on a Samsung, one doesn't really need root. So much debloating can be done using ADB. Many developers have found ways to utilize Samsung's theme engine and font engine to customize the phone however one prefers. I installed an AOSP theme using Hex Installer that made the UI look 95% stock.

I'm running 2 stock N10+'s using Samsung Galaxy mods, a package disabler, a firewall and heavily optimizing them.
That's all you need... they run great and look/function exactly how I want them too.
No plain Janes here... some assembly required.

Stability, functionality, speed and good battery life are all that matters. This "pu$$y" phone in my hand right now has all four, it's current load is over 1.5 years old with minimum maintenance/zero updates.

I've used the Pixel 6 Pro on and off since November. For the most part, it has been a very good phone, but after using the S22 Ultra for over 2 months now, I realize how much better the P6P could be. The 5G reception, the charging speeds, and overall stability of the Snapdragon S22 Ultra are vastly superior to the Pixel 6 Pro. To be fair, the P6P has a cleaner software experience, better camera in some respects, and better speakers, but the essentials are done better by the S22U. Like many of us, I had hoped that the P6P would have been the Samsung flagship with stock Android, but it's turning out to have similar problems as the Exynos chips, even down to running warm. There are promises for big things in the June or July update, but each update has brought new bugs. I'm considering just selling the P6P and seeing if the Pixel 7 Pro fixes anything.

My girlfriend has the S21 Ultra, I have the P6P, andddd everyime I grab her phone I am surprised at how smooth it is. Every. Time.
I am getting pretty tired of having to borrow my wife's 22 when I need to make a phone call.
I had the s22ultra SD variant, sold it because if the crappy UI and micro stutters I experienced constantly. Regardless of the hardware, what good is it if the software is still in beta production.
A lot of gimmicky features like bixby, knox, etc.
Samsung has potential but they suck.
there is a 300$ difference between these two phones. the s22 ultra BETTER have the better experience.
I have to say otherwise, my girlfriend has the s22 ultra and I got the P6P, I wouldn't exchange it in a thousand years. Performance wise it stutters, quite a lot, to the point of semi freezing. Charging and battery wise we both get home more or less at same time with same battery, I've disabled adaptive charging tho. The stylus is not that impressive, not good enough for note taking. Everything else is meh, I love the purity of android and came a long way, no need for duplicate apps and super updates! Câmera also so so the same quality on both, but she has clearer night pictures (more realistic), pixel pictures at night seems to overwhelm the colours a bit.

Don't forget the shutter speed, Samsung constantly blurs moving things in pictures whereas pixel has no issue tracking pictures of moving objects and is virtually instant from pressing the button and taking the picture
There is no doubt, in my mind, that the Pixel blows Sammy away in every category, especially camera. But not in signal reception. Unfortunately I need my phone to make and receive phone calls.
I own both and spend time in a fallout bunker. My S22 Ultra and iPhone 13 Pro Max can make calls and text. The P6P has no service. The radio hardware is most definitely the P6P's Achilles heel.

Most reliable radio hardware I've had. Never had service dropped.
I used to have to have Tasker automatically cycle airplane mode whenever service was lost on all my prior phones, which were all Qualcomm flagships.

That's something else too. While picture quality is pretty good, the picture taking experience falls behind.
Hopefully most of the issues addressed can be resolved or mitigated through software updates, I hope, also for my own sake.

I agree with the signal reception. I have been working from home past 2 years, so I haven't had as much time to get frustrated, meaning using it while out and about. But this phone has the absolute worst reception of any phone I have ever owned and finding out just how horrible it is as I start traveling more. I am just outside metro DC area and have a lot of experience with other phones plus friends and family. Why, just why couldn't they have stuck with a trusted chip? Verizon, fwiw. I will eventually switch to something non Google. Other parts work great, but they call it a smartphone, not a camera connection device.

I agree with ya here, however, I'm on T-Mo. So, it's definitely a problem with the modem needing some very specific code changes. But thankfully enough, these changes have finally appeared to happen about a month back on a beta version of the OS. Now, the latest beta for Android 12.1 and the latest beta for Android 13 both contain modem updates that finally make my service more functional and reliable.
The only downside here is that they won't be pushing this update OTA for another month and a half (and it also took them a while to get to this, haha).

That would be fantastic if it really helps. I am in my house right now. My old Pixel 2 XL, Wife's Pixel 4a, my last Pixel 4a5g all had excellent service here. If I turn my wifi off I can't make a damn call. Today I was fishing at a pond that is in the middle of 3 major roads, had zero service. I will wait and see what comes from this. In your opinion, what are you thinking the change is, but I don't know how to ask you to quantify it.

Not sure. But I think that it has something to do with the general code requirements for this modem, as it was notoriously known for having reception problems in the past (as the Samsung S20 international variant used the same modem). It seems that Google was still recovering from the big lawsuit hit that dug into their phone development department's spending power before the Pixel 6 series had gone into production (was around $270M). I'm hoping that they are able to dig their way out of that hole by the time the Pixel 8 series is in production - as that will be around the time I upgrade my phone again, haha =P.

Did a software update solve the S20 problems? I did a quick search but not seeing that exact resolution. If that update in beta right now helps a lot they may save a customer here, but I am not upgrading to a future Pixel if they put a documented problem in this phone and the solution is to upgrade out of the problem.
I have owned both and they are both flawed.
I still have the S22U and ultimately it is IMO the better option. Yes the shutter lag is annoying and OneUI has it’s frustrations too but the flaws on the Pixel are bigger, FPS was a daily frustration (and the ultrasonic FPS on samsung is just better than all optical ones IMO) auto brightness was just dumb and as other have said the radio is weaker.
I am hopeful that lessons will have been learned with the Pixel 7
I have the vanilla S22, same with everyone says, it has micro stutter on the UI frequently, and the usual Samsung not able to capture moving objects. For those reasons, I am moving to Pixel 7 Pro this year.
To be fair, the P6 Pro is in another price league. You compare an Audi A5 to a BMW 7 (significant price difference). That still doesn't excuse, however, the especially weak reception quality and temperature problems (quick overheating under stress) on a P6 Pro. Basic features need to work, full stop. And Pixels struggle with that at times.
Finally decided to take TMO up on their $800 Trade-In Offer on my P6_Pro & Upgraded to the S22 Ultra 512 gb
(SM-S908U1).

Yeah, enjoy your new phone! Also, come back if you can ever get that thing rooted and stuff =). That (and the interface design) is primarily what is holding me back from Samsung phones - but I'm not sure if that has recently changed.

So, I was just thinking to myself last night that after they the introduction of the new aggressive security API that detects root and renders my Gpay useless (which is just the beginning) I am finding it less and less worthwhile to have an Android device, which I've had now for 15 years. I use a Mac for computing and I'm beginning to wonder whether I do the same for my phone. I'm so sick of Google's crappy products and customer service. I just might join you before the value of this phone nose dives.

It's out. I posted earlier a link to the discussion on GitHub. Oddly enough, not all users have been affected yet. Then again, that makes sense given the range of variables. I can't even use my craigslist app because I can't pass the newly imposed tests.
I decided to dump the stock rom in favor of Pixel Experience, unrooted. I now have nearly all of the features I want including face unlock and zero problems.

Comments like this amaze me. The implementation of Face Unlock on these ROMs is the same as on cheap Chinese phones. It is not secure and it's a gimmick.
Also, I want a phone that works out of the box. Swapping ROMs gets old fast nowadays and unless one is a developer experimenting, it's not worth the hassle and the bugs for most.
If the camera on the S23 is as good as it promises to be, I'd be done with the P6P. Or go to the iPhone 14 and get the best battery life with everything turned on.
Can't pinpoint when but over the last couple iterations of stock Android it's felt more like changes have been made for the sake of change rather than the benefit of the end user.
This is most apparent on the stock ROM. Everything was designed to be in your face constantly and I hate it so I'm running something else as of late.
I'm still not a fan of the new QS. My Pixel hasn't changed that. It's ugly, it's inconsistent (even on the 13 beta).
The fact of the matter is custom ROMs have always been better than nearly any carrier/OEM variation of Android and it just so happened that as I went back from OnePlus to a Pixel that development for Pixels would totally go down the drain relative to prior models.
That's partially because Google trashed the UI at its core and reversing that would take extensive work that just isn't worth the time.
This is the quickest I have ever gotten kind of annoyed with a device and it's completely unrelated to the hardware. The hardware of the 6, in spite of numerous criticisms, has always been great to me but Android as software is just... Dying in my eyes.
They get away with it as it's still more flexible as a platform than iOS but honestly they can only go so far.
If things don't improve either with 14 next year or with OnePlus doing a complete turn around in software, I'm out. I'll look more into the buggy affairs of Linux smartphones.
I have the luxury of having the 6 pro and the note 20 ultra, so when I am fed up with the six pro being goofy or glitchy I can switch back to that and generally enjoy it but have always been a fan of the nexus, pixel line so no matter how which it is I find myself wanting to come back. Lately considering ditching the 6 pro myself and considering the OP9 pro on special... Flashing 13 beta kind of help. The new visuals seem really cool but definitely made Android auto even quirkier. Maybe I should just consider the rooting and romming stuff again, but haven't really messed up it since maybe my OnePlus 7 pro

I wouldn't go to an iPhone if they gave me a case of them for free.
The only issue I have with my P6P is how hot it gets when charging, the loss of audio for notifications when I connect to the BT in my work van, the poor radio for both 5G and LTE in weaker signal areas and the wretched battery life
I'm curious to see how P7P is with Android 13, which is how I'll probably go in October when it's released
As an owner of both the S22U and the P6P, I prefer the P6P.

I'm having the same issues plus I can never get a full signal even in a strong signal area where both my tablet and my other phone which is an S22 get a full signal, my previous phone on my other line was a OnePlus 10 Pro. Lost 40% battery in just a couple hours yesterday while getting our daughter moved into her dorm room and I didn't use the phone at all and it got really warm. I also have an issue with really slow data on this phone. I am not a fan of any of that. I like the but hate all the issues.

I don’t really have issues with data speeds. But I’m usually in 5G so I’m pretty solitaire but the problem is if I’m in like one bar 5G, forget about it I can’t load a website. Same thing with one bar of LTE. And the problems I listed are you know, pretty profound. They’re not all bad but the battery life is absolutely horrifying. I’m a tech for Dish Network and if I get you a job with 100% strength and it takes 2 1/2 hours to do the job when I’m done I’m at like 70%.
At the end of the day though, I just can’t buy into Samsung and all that bloat wear. My daughter has an S 22 ultra. It’s a hell of a nice phone call man there’s just so much extra junk on there.

I made the jump from the 8T to the 11 and I like it (mostly). The phone is super-fast and the software is pretty darn good. I'm starting to get antsy for some custom ROM's though (eg: paranoid android, pixel extended, etc).
The only thing I didn't really like (at the beginning) was the waterfall display on the edges. I don't really notice it any more but (personally) I prefer flat displays.

Good deal. I just feel like 8T is still plenty fast until they discontinue the update support here in a year or so. How's the camera on 11?
1. This is not OxygenOS. I wouldn't say it's complete crap but it's leaves a lot to be desired.
2. Battery life is poor.
3. Camera is barely any better than for my even older than yours OnePlus.
4. Yeah, it's fast, too bad it's overheating even when using light apps like Google Maps.
I've no idea what to upgrade to but I'm not a fan of OnePlus 11 by a long shot. I've heard some Lenovo/Motorola and Asus phones feature a ROM which is close to stock Android.
Oh, and the Pixel 7 Pro is certainly an option as well, though stock Google Android is missing a ton of features from OxygenOS, even simple ones such as double tap to wake (it can be single tapped to wake but that leads to an extreme number of unnecessary wake up's).
I can't recommend it.

After watching some reviews I got an incorrect impression that the OS/SW is better on OnePlus11...
But it's not...
- constantly fighting with android auto, when you connect the phone to your car, usually 1st attempt works, 2nd and any following doesn't and you need to do some dance like usb debug enable/disable or reboot to make it working...
- now with latest update, it has broken pressed state so most of apps don't have it visible
- whole UI is weirdly bloated, I prefer more dense content, I was already using the custom DPI value to override it, now the number must be even higher, but this value doesn't survive reboot... what a pain, if I have to reboot every other day...
- Notifications UX is somehow weird comparing to pixel 7 with A13, I have hard time to just dismiss it by swiping it out, very annoying.
- I don't like much the oneplus photos app, so I just disable it to get rid of it. What a surprise to see that the camera app has the oneplus photos app hardwired, so it it doesn't open any photos app, so I had to reenable it back again just to be able to see a history of photos directly from camera app...

I must be one of the lucky ones because I haven't had any issues with the USB charger, battery life (I can get almost 2 full days if I really stretch it out), Android Auto, the notifications or the photo app. I agree that it's not the Oxygen OS we've grown accustomed to but it's not the worst thing in the world (in my opinion).
But to each his own. Everyone has to make their own decision on what they can live with and what they can't.
I'd love to have a Pixel for the streamlined OS but the charging speed to stupid slow compared to the OnePlus 11 (hell, even the OnePlus 8t is way faster at charging). The camera on the OnePlus 11 is (for me) fine for the daily quick photo but I have a Canon DSLR that I use if I really want a good photo.
RussianBear, my suggestion is the try the OnePlus 11. If you like it, great. If not, send it back.
I just can't seem to justify paying full retail for this thing. It'd have to be that much better than 8T for me to drop near 1k (looking for max specs) on a new phone. Their 100 day gimmick is cool, tho lol

I've no idea what to upgrade to but I'm not a fan of OnePlus 11 by a long shot. I've heard some Lenovo/Motorola and Asus phones feature a ROM which is close to stock Android.
Oh, and the Pixel 7 Pro is certainly an option as well, though stock Google Android is missing a ton of features from OxygenOS, even simple ones such as double tap to wake (it can be single tapped to wake but that leads to an extreme number of unnecessary wake up's).

I have 10-9hrs average screen on time while traveling.
Nothing overheats while having gps navigation active during my trips.
SOT are great, especially when I switched from OP7Pro.
I enjoy using my OnePlus 11, it's my first day to day device back with Android since I left behind the 6T and went to the iPhone lol The camera has improved to the point where it can be in the conversation with the Pixel and Galaxy phones, OxygenOS isn't as clunky as I thought it would be, and 80W charging is amazing.

I jumped from 6T to 8T
Camera is snappier, fast charging, more battery, faster device.
I moved from OP8T to OP11, and the first big thing is the vastly superior battery life of the 11.
Wiht my OP8T I had grown used to the idea that i would need to take a powerbank with me if i was going to be out all day, and that it would need to be left on charge overnight to ensure it was full in the morning - before going out for day , my new OP11 - at the moment easily lasts all day - and no longer needs an overnight charge
So OP11 has
better battery life
much nicer screen
its faster/ more responsive
havent had enough time to use the camera yet - but first impressions are its an improvement over the 8T
I have the 11 and 8T and much prefer my 8T. I'm actually actively trying to sell my 11. I probably would have a different opinion if OnePlus didn't take away a person's rights to fix their phones themselves with MSM, but that's mostly an Oppo issue. I tinker with my 8T because I know if I botch something, MSM will save my ass.

Then you can wait a bit for a lower price and I think the 100 day offer ended on April 30th. I've upgraded from both OP6 and 9 and I think it was worth it. Some people have hardware issues as it happens with any brand, while some just need a factory reset to straight up things. Everything is running perfectly here. Everything launches faster, haven't had heat issues, not even with Maps and the five year updates gives the thing longevity. Battery life is also lasting much more than OP9 despite using OOS. The only thing I wish is to once more have tools like MSM publicly available and of course, custom development which might come one day.
