Pressing Developer mode not working - Desire HD Q&A, Help & Troubleshooting

Hi
Can anyone help me with this?
I want to enable developer mode, however when I go to About Phone, Software Information, More and press Build number, there is no countdown to enabling developer mode. Does anyone know to get this working? I am running android 2.3.5. Thanks.

[Q] Where is the USB Debug option !??!

I'm clueless......where is this option? How are y'all able to root this device without the option? I never had to play where's waldo with the freaking usb debug option with any other android phone. Can somebody help me out? Please and please?
Go to Settings -> About phone -> Tap on Build number until it says that You are now a developer or something like that. Now you can find Developer options in Settings and can enable USB debugging

Developer Options in 4.3

To access developer options in 4.3 you need to do the following:
Goto Settings, More, About Device
Got to Build Number and press it several times. This will activate the Developer options.
You'll then see Developer options under System Manager
Hope this helps....

[Q] CM Version 11-20140113, ADB, Developer options missing. New ROM or where?

With the recent availability of the Android Wear SDK, I thought I should try developing for it, and Android in general. Got some app ideas to try out. So, in short my current ROM does not have the Settings > Developer Options option to get to Enable USB Debuggingso I can connect to my phone via ADB over USB.
My question is two fold.
Assuming I am not blind, and Developer Options really is missing, what am I messing up?
or
Which 4.4.2 build gives me the option for USB debugging and the other developer settings?

[Q] Cant access developer options.

Hi,
I have a very strange issue and I am hoping that someone has a solution to this problem.
The tablet SM-T705 came with Build number KOT49H.T705XXU1ANG2 out of the box and it is not upgradeable.
Recently I bought a samsung galaxy tab s t705, The first thing that I wanted to do is root my new toy.
Obviously the first step in the process is to enable USB Debugging but it is a no go !
Here is what I am doing:
Settings > General > About device , Then tap the Build number 7 times.
Once I got the message that the developer mode is now enabled, I go back to the General tab but the "Developer options" are nowhere to be found.
I installed Nova launcher and tried to crate a shortcut for for the "Developer options" but all it does is throw me to the General settings tab in the settings.
I tried to factory reset the device and repeat the process but not luck.
I even tried some apps that are just shortcuts for the Developer options but it didn't help.
Any suggestions ?
I really need root (cant stand all the bloatware).
Thank you for your help !

Your on an old firmware, so that means you'll need to upgrade. Download mode does not need usb debugging. Simply put your device in download mode, flash newer firmware with odin, then root with cfautoroot. USB debugging is only needed to connect to PC while device is on. Hope this helps!
Thank!

Question cant find developer setting

hey, I cant find developer setting in the phone. I can get into the recovery. can i flash firmware from there without going to developer setting and unlocking. When i connect the wire to phone odin doesn't pick up anything in recovery mode, odin only pick up connection when the phone is turned on.
my question is can i flash a firmware from the recovery mode, there is option to update from sd card, can i not put the firmware in usb and connect it to phone and update?
Getting the Developer Settings to appear is the same on all Android devices.
Go to Settings > About > software information > keep tapping on the Build number item until it tells you that Developer Options have been unlocked. YTou'll them find them in the Settings menu.
