General [RECOVERY] TWRP 3.7.0_12-3 for A52s 5G - Samsung Galaxy A52s 5G

This is TWRP Flashable ZIP
Link Download: https://tinyurl.com/3s5az5yv

I don't really see any reason behind this when the twrp.me website already provides all the files to flash the recovery either via Odin3 or via a custom recovery such as TWRP itself.

Your flashable zip is also completely broken, if you really want to post something like this at least make sure it works and it's properly made.

I have seen a few posts about issues updating through GooManager (if that's how you are trying to update). I've never had an issue updating use a zip (via current custom recovery) or tar (via Odin):
Go out to the TeamWin website: http://teamw.in/project/twrp2
Click "Get TWRP for your Device"
Type "Galaxy Note 2" in search box, and select "TWRP for Samsung Galaxy Note 2 - ATT [t0lteatt]
You can download a Zip (flashable via your current TWRP recovery) or Tar (flashable via Odin)

[Q] Help...installing Philz recovery via Odin

Newb here to Odin/Philz.
I have a zip containing recovery.img. I think Odin v3.07 is looking for a tar or md5. anyone know how I need to proceed? Looking to change the recovery to try out CM 12.1.
Before I get slammed to RTFM, and search is your tool, which perhaps I deserve, I have been searching, and the only downloadable copy of Philz I have found for d2lte/d2spr is "philz_touch_6.57.5-d2lte.zoip", which has the .img inside it.
TIA...Eric
If I remember right the philz_touch_6.48.4-d2lte.zip is a flashable zip. No need for odin.
Edit: I just noticed the name of your zip is different from the one I use but a tar is what you would normally use in odin.
If it's a flashable zip, how would I load it onto a stock rom?
All the threads I have read so far say to load a bootloader from Odin, but no mention of Philz, only CWM or TWRP. I assumed that Philz would be the same, but I found a thread which is the "official" Philz thread, and the link within it for the file is dead.
I just reread the thread, and it says "Flash the above in recovery and then do a "reboot recovery" to get into Philz Touch!"
Would that be the stock recovery?

S4 Mini Softbrick

First time flashing ROMs, installed resurrection remix tryed to install Gapps which failed, yet RR booted up on its own just fine. Then tried to flash a new recovery on it (TWRP 3.0) yet the phone would just never boot up to complete the recovery install. So now i have a phone which wont enter recovery mode and cannot complete the download of the new recovery.
TLDR: Phone wont boot into recovery as ROM is broken so download cant be fixed?
Previous: recovery TWRP 2.6
Phone: Samsung Galaxy S4 GT-19195
Any help would be really appreciated!
Thanks
Are you sure that you have flashed the right Recovery for your Phone.
Normally the way is.
Boot into Recovery
Install the Recovery .zip file
Reboot into Recovery.
Reboot into System ( ROM )
Can you post a link where you download the Recovery and which file.

That would only work from TWRP ver 2.8.4, I think you missed he is still on very old TWRP or maybe he edit later , he would have to install with Odin method
@Spec77
If you can boot into download mode you should be able to flash new recovery with Odin method (NOT use zip file).
As Bierma suggests maybe you flashed wrong TWRP does your phone have another letter and after gt-19195 if so it is a different phone & you need different TWRP. Or maybe you just tapped wrong link.

This way works also if you come from a CWM or PhilzTouch Version.
If you come from TWRP =>2.8.4.0 than you can flash an *.IMG File ,but you can flash on all Versions a *.zip file.
Managed to fix the brick
Thanks for the help, I managed to fix it by installing TRWP 3.0 from ODIN, and now that i have that I'm fine
Thanks!

CWM Zip file when roms are .img

Hi.
I have a really complicated problem
So I'm on the Galaxy J2 Core and I've managed to make a TWRP recovery rom for the device.
So TWRP touch isn't responding, so I made a CWM recovery rom after trying a few different versions of TWRP.
The problem is, CWM can only use zip files, when all the custom roms I download are .img.
I can't use fastboot as it doesn't detect my device ("waiting for any device...") although adb does, and I haven't been able to find a working fix.
How would I go about converting the .img file to a .zip, fixing TWRP's touch problem or using fastboot???
This is kinda my last resort so any help would be appreciated

Question TWRP flashing method

Hi all,
I have recently shifted from Samsung A52S to Onpelus 9 PRO.
I'm now a bit confused about flashing method....
I mean :
on Samsung devices, you have to use ODIN ( that is a Fastboot replacement tool ) in order to flash the TWRP and then, on TWRP, you can freely flash any new custom ROM or any other img files, by simply press "INSTALL" button instad of ADB sideload commands.
If I well understood, in order to flash this custom ROM, I have to do that through Fastboot commands before and through TWRP ADB sideload commands after......
My question is : may I flash boot.img / vendor_boot.img / dtbo.img and ROM zip directly through TWRP "INSTALL" button instead ???
If not, can someone kindly explain which is the reason why ?
Sorry for this noob question but I'm doing my first step into Oneplus and I don't want to do a mess.....
Many thanks for the help !
I personally been wanting to know why we no longer can simply flash custom roms via TWRP like we use to. I do believe its got to do with the way the A/B partition works however that does not really answers why we can't just flash via TWRP. Unfortunately, I have not been able to find the answer so I am interested too on why we can't simply flash custom roms in TWRP and have to resort in sideloading or via fastboot. I would think flashing via a zip in TWRP will have less user errors compare to using a command line to do your flashing.
Saying that, I have been flashing via fastboot since I got this phone and even though its a longer process, it only takes a few more minutes.
twrp is not even fully adapted for android 12 or 13 (but who needs twrp anymore?)
I prefer to flash via fastbootd
(is less work for me)
best way is the magisk install

twrp is still the only way to backup the whole rom
it exist a non official version for 12/13
TWRP is the best tool to recover files when the OS does not boot. Since there is no ROM or kernel out there that recommend or uses TWRP for flashing. There is little reason to use TWRP unless is for file recovery. This is in respective to OP 9.
