Hello. Just got my POCO F3 5G NFC global version couple days ago and wanted to unlock it and install Lineage OS on it. I have unlocked Xiaomi devices in the past and followed the standard procedure with Mi Unlock. The problem is that I keep getting stuck on the same message:
Please add your account in MIUI's Settings > Developer options > Mi Unlock status.
Click to collapse
Now I have enabled USB debugging, OEM unlock and successfully associated Mi account with device, but it still throws this error. Am I missing something? There is no message indicating to wait X amount of hours or something and the account has permission to unlock devices.
Any ideas to help? Thanks.

Guys please help me. I'm trying to unlock my bootloader. The first step that I'm doing is binding the mi account and device. So on Developer Options, I chose Mi Unlock Status, then hit "Add account and device", but it always says "Connect to the network and try again". I could not bind it at all. Is there any solution?
Thanks in advance!
btw, I'm using the latest global stable rom.
Try flashing developer roms before unlocking, it worked on my redmi note 3, maybe it'll works on mi 6, haven't tried it on my mi6.

Thanks man. By flashing dev rom over my global stable, do I just need to copy the .zip file of the dev rom to the sd card, then flash it using the updater app?
By the way, I managed to bind the account on my global stable. I just logged in to the i.mi.com (from PC), then checked my mobile if the Find Device is enabled, then I turned on my GPS. I chose "Find Device" on the i.mi.com then after it found my device, I tried to add account and device again on Developer Options>Mi Unlock Status and now my device and mi account is bound. Now I have to wait 72 hours because that's what the mi flash unlock says, pfff.
Flash dev rom would be my last option.
I tried to unlock on 21 august and now, after more than 72 hours it look again another 72 hours, what can i do?
The phone is associated correctly with my account,i have permision, all fine.
After the first try,i flashed global developer.maybe this is the cause?
Now i am o global dev rom
Hi Guys,
I need your help. I want to unlock the bootloader of my new Mi Mix 2. But in the process of unlocking in the unlock software i face this error message: "Your Device isn’t supported by Mi Unlock".
I am on the latest global developer rom. Account is linked and has permission to unlock (I did unlock the mi mix 1 before).
Do you have any ideas? Maybe someone of you has the same problem and solved it!

Is OEM unlock selected in developer options? That's the only thing I can think of if the account is linked on the phone.
Yes it is. I have no Idea whats the problem of the unlock tool.
I send a unlock request mail to xiaomi. Maybe they can do anything.
You are definitely using the latest version of the unlock tool? It is updated frequently.

Hey guys,
my Redmi Note 5 Global arrived today. I have the permission for unlock since 2 years, so I tried to unlock it with no success. First I got an unknown error and after some attempts I got the message: Couldn't Unlock "After 360 hours of trying to unlock the device".
Is there a way to solve this? I've found no solution so far, would a new mi account with new permission solve the problem?

Tried 2 new account. First I get an error that my account is not bound to the device, then I bind it and the 360 hours message is back
The secret trick is not to Bind your account in Developer Options, but just log in on the device.

Yes. Everytime the same error
These are the steps I'm doing, maybe there's something obvious wrong or I'm too stupid^^
1. Try to unlock with first account --> 360h
2. Reboot phone, logout from mi account. Login into the second mi account.
3. Reboot in Fastboot --> sign out on the mi unlock tool and sign in with the second account --> current account is not bound to the device.
After the 360h message from the first account, the mi unlock tool should be not touched?
Edit: Tried also the way with removing the device from I.mi.com. My RN5 has no inserted sim card, is that a problem? Just wifi.
Edit 2: Tried also with closing mi unlock tool between the 2 unlock attempts and with inserted sim card, same result.

Uhmm, you should also try to clear the cache of MI unlock tool. Otherwise, it gives you same error no matter how many times you try. That's what I'd do. It might not work but try it and redo the procedure. Share the results

Can't exactly remember. Look in file menu for about option in mi unlock tool and in that if I remember correctly there should be a log button. If you click that a directory will open. Remove all the files. It may not be accurate as I'm not at home right now.

Xiaomi has fixed the issue, so now you will have to wait 360h.

I wondered, I fiddled a bit with the config, and I saw:
C:\Users\me\Downloads\miflash_unlock-en-3.3.525.23\config\app_info
Inside:
Maybe there's a way to call an OLDER api version
I don't have time to play with that, but maybe it's a good hint to solve the issue.
Cheers,
It saying Could not unlock after 50 hours of try. even it tried about 10 seconds.
when i need to get permission request to unlock

i try to do with all steps available but no unlock and no massage from xaomi to wait or any thing

you can try to turn off sync in your mi account
Unlocking the bootloader
While unlocking the bootloader, I went to developer settings and was trying to unlock the device.
Don't disconnect from the network, sign out of your Mi Account, perform a factory rest, or erase system data. If you've already done any of the above, add your Mi Account again; otherwise, you won't be able to unlock your device.
I was getting this error, after restarting the phone, signing out and signing in; the same issue.
I even did a factory reset but had the same issue.
Please let me know what can be done.
I bought Redmi Note 5 AI today which Boot Loader status was unlocked in the "developer option" previously and installed Global Stable 9.5.13 previously.
now when I tried to flash TWRP through cmd, it says "flashing is not allowed in lock state"
then when I checked OEM status through cmd, it shows :
Verity mode: true
Device Unlocked: false
Device Critical unlocked: false
What happen when you unlock again by MiUnlocker?
That is fake unlock. Still trying to figure it out that problem. Even flashing couple of time didn't solve it.

Yes. I forget to mention that. It says "this account is not bound to this device" when I connected with mi unlock tools. For additional information, I used the same MI account for both mobile and mi unlock tools. I also synced successfully and activated find my device on mi web before I connected to the PC.

Fake unlock ??? what is that.? The phone was in Chinese stable rom. Then the seller changed it's rom to global by himself. I don't know anything else. But did you face the same problem like me ?
You need to do:
- Add your device to OEM unlock if need
- Activate Mi Message through Setting - System app - Message

Yes, one of my friend's whyred got fake unlock. It is still locked, but you can't unlock it because the status is unlocked. You must entering EDL mode and flash it. But you need permission from Xiaomi to do it. I don't know if they still open for new permissions.
I have Mi Max 3/32GB Hydrogen. Ever since I bought this device it keep showing "find device storage corrupted. device in unsafe"
And I can't unlock the bootloader. The device is on developer ROM out of the box.
Adding account in "Mi Unlock Status" inside Developer Option, it shows "couldn't add : error 20091"
Unlocking using mi flash unlock stuck at 99% with message "Current Account is not bound with this device"
I googled and still didn't found the solution.
I tried:
1. Flashing persist.img but I don't have privilege because locked bootloader.
2. Update OTA, now on the latest Dev ROM but still showing the warning "find device storage corrupted"
3. Resetting the phone, still showing the warning "find device storage corrupted"
4. Tried fastboot flash latest developer ROM in EDL mode with MiFlash, the flash succeed but the problem still persist "find device storage corrupted"
the funny thing is.. I logged in Mi Cloud and find device did locate my phone despite showing the "find device storage corrupted"
I think I can't unlock bootloader because of this find device storage corrupted problem (is this true?)
Is there anything more I can do?
it's getting frustrating and tiring just to unlock the phone
other brand official unlock method is MUCH MUCH easier than this.
I want to install RR ROM and root this phone.
I believe you are screwed with error 20091.... Had the same thing with my redmi 5, and nothing I tried and I tried everything, worked to unlock it. I returned it because of that. Xiaomi are great phones, but with the bootloader unlocking process, will never buy another one again. Im currently on MIDO Redmi note 4, and its awesome... But like i said, with the bootloader issues coming up this last year, no more xiaomi for me!
