So I've flashed numerous miui 7 and 8 from stable xiaomi eu, everytime I flash supersu no matter what version, when it boots back up my Sim card settings are grayed out
Settings https://imgur.com/gallery/dnoo8
Has anyone seen this before? Can't make an account on xiaomi eu for some reason or I'd ask there.
Just looking for a debloated version of miui 7 with root

I was on xiaomi eu rom before, and also with root, but never face any issues related to Sim card either stable or weekly builds both is fine.
but since i try Multi Rom, i feel this rom is better than eu rom, and now i'm stick on it.
:highfive: :highfive:
Actually i flashed Official MiUI Global Rom, and even rooting that produced the same problem, its almost like my phone on MIUI cannot be rooted or its going to break my sim card settings, any idea what could cause this?

Miui 7.5 caused same issue with me I fixed it by flashing with fastboot latest stable rom and supersu just after flashing done and reboot
I ended up just flashing a pre rooted miui rom to get around it, been working great so far.

Hello friends. I just received my phone xiaomi redmi note 5 pro Chinese version of honkong goldway.
Currently the bootloader is unlocked (the seller said that) and there is a global rom that is installed: 8.8.2 beta.
I would like to install the miui 10 stable rom xiaomi.eu Is this safe? and if so, what is the procedure to do? Thank you in advance.
Wondering about it. I'm thinking of buying one (whichever is cheaper at my place).
Also wondering if it is possible to replace/delete MIUI (im not sure what it is, been thinking it is OS so replacing it with Android One or any custom rom honestly)
Never had a Xiaomi product, so I'm at a lost.
If you prefer a clean vanilla Android experience go with the A2 Lite, if you prefer a heavy customized UI filled with "bloatware" go for the Redmi 6 Pro.
Even though both devices share the "same" hardware, they aren't OS flash compatible.
At the moment, we only have GSI roms when it comes to custom roms, but some people are working on a Lineage port.
Can't speak for the Redmi 6 Pro, better check its forum before buying one of the devices.
There are some differences between both devices. For example there is the different SoC (Snapdragon 636 for Note 6 Pro and the Snapdragon 625 for the Mi A2 Lite). Furthermore the software isn't compatible, if it would, we would have a nice MIUI-Rom for the Mi A2 Lite
But I think that you can replace the MIUI-Stock-Rom of the Redmi Note 6 Pro with another Custom Rom or GSI. This should work and as far as I know there are some Roms :good:

He didn't asked about Redmi 6 *Note* Pro. 6 Pro and A2 Lite use the same hardware.
Edit: The main differences between the 6 Pro and the A2 Lite are the partition scheme and the OS which is used. The 6 Pro has oldschool A type partition scheme, A2 lite uses A/B partition scheme for seamless OS updates and therefore you can't crossflash their stock roms 1:1.

Cleaner? o.o
I forgot to mention I was thinking about Redmi 5X / Mi A1 as well (A2 lite looks like an A1 with a bit of upgraded hardware + MIUI + more battery)
Mi A1 is priced cheaper by a lil bit, but yeah..
So there's no custom roms for A2 Lite yet? I want to root, yep.

There are Treble-Roms, these Roms are like a generic custom rom for many devices. The Mi A2 Lite supports these Roms and it also works fine.

I wouldn't buy a A1 anymore, because you will end up with only one more OS update and one year less of security patches.
Custom roms like Lineage are in the making and you can use GSI roms (just google them). Rooting is no problem, you won't
have any problems with OTA updates after rooting, as long as you don't alter the system partitions.

The R6P is also a treble device, that means, that you are also able to flash gsi roms! And there are more gsi's for the A only scheme... But the R6P has less lte frequencies - it doesnt have band 20 (800 mhz) which is important for europe!
Hi guys
I have create some custom rom list.
Please choose one of your favorite rom and explain why you choose it.
Thanks
Hello.
I am checking some by now.
I will answer soon.
Miss Mirum.
are all of these available here on xda?
MiRoom is my favourite at the moment. There are different clock options on always on display screen. Also gcam works well on this ROM
why are there so few Rom for the 8th if compared to the 8th or the 8th lite? I don't like miui rom based and the outher rom is only Pixel Rom. And Havoc, RR, Syberia??? Why not?
Mi 8 and Mi 8 lite are sold in global but Mi 8 SE is only in China. That's the reason there are not much developers for SE and roms are not frequent.
There is Havoc for Mi 8 SE, gsi roms work because of treble support. Actually it is also quite stable, I am going to share installation when i have free time
Thank you, all true but it's a shame because it's a great phone and I wish it was my next purchase
miuipro only
Hi, my cousin brother has a mi mix 2, running on android 9, he is quite bores of the device so i suggested him to change the rom, so just want to know which is the best rom stable for daily use, or it it even worth changing the rom ?
I tried a couple roms: crdroid, arrowos, lineageos,...
My preference is LineageOS, it just got updated to LOS 18.1 with Android 11.
