Question Where are call recordings stored? - OnePlus 9RT

I have Oneplus 9RT running Android 11, Oxygen OS version 11.3
Currently I am only able to share call recordings by going to my phone app, then the contact with whom I had a call recorded.
I searched and found this thread.
OnePlus Community
Introducing our new OnePlus Community experience, with a completely revamped structure, built from the ground-up.
community.oneplus.com
It is mentioned that the recordings are stored here.
Internal shared storage\Android\data\com.oneplus.communication.data\files\Record\PhoneRecord
But I don't have any folder named 'com.oneplus.communication.data'.

How to use 3.5 mm jack's external microphone to record audio?

I'm trying to use an external mic to record audio at better quality but every app uses the phone's built-in mic for recording. I've tried the following apps.
Stock recorder of OnePlus
Audio recorder by sony
Easy voice recorder
None of these recorder have any separate option to choose external mic attached via 3.5 mm jack. Please help.

I've been able to use an external microphone for recording video with Ooen Camera apk. It sucks though, because you lose the stock features of the in built camera and being able to utilize the extra camera on the rear. I don't know what OnePlus was thinking. A very large majority of people purchasing from them are tech heads (as OnePlus isn't a popular or well known device like Samsung, Pixel and others) and people like me who have YouTube channels and will be using the camera for video content.
They need to address this and hopefully this is fixed in the Plus 6t... Looks like that will be the next OnePlus,I add to my channel's stable of devices.

[LOS] The eternal problem of muffled audio in video recordings

Hi guys,
since years I'm having issues with camera microphone on LineageOS/Cyanogenmod roms: after 2-3 seconds of video recording I get muffled audio (technically described as audio phasing).
The problem exists since the time of CM 13.x on LG G3, now I'm inheriting it on LineageOS 16 (and previous major releases).
Actually I'm running LineageOS 16.0-20191123 with OpenGapps Stock 9.0 Nano 20191123.
To let you understand what I'm talking about, after 2-3 seconds of video you can hear an "underwater" effect and a lowered volume.
Someone could argue I've not done enough tests, so I list all the apps I've used:
Snap Camera (default with latest LOS)
Snap Camera HDR
OxygenOS Camera Port v8
Modded Google Camera (Tolyan009 6.2.030 TlnNeun v0.6d)
Whatsapp Camera
Facebook Camera
Instagram Camera
Telegram X Camera
Just today the litmus test: I've used ASR sound recorder with Camera Mic as default source, the result is the same while all the other microphone sources have worked properly.
I've attached a zip file with both incriminated sound and video recording, so you can hear what I've described.

Are you affected by this issue? Please, confirm that in thread survey and also in my GitLab ticket with a thumbs up :good:
Thanks in advance.

Lineage 17.1 direct audio recording?

Having recently upgraded my ROM to android10 with L17.1 I was surprised to see direct audio recording of internal sound has become an issue. I'm aware from reading around that google removed the function in a8 and there are some workarounds, but they all seem to involve screen recorders.
I'm looking for a simple audio recorder to capture the internal sound without mic.
My nexus 7 flo is rooted with the magisk, twrp and unofficial lineage builds but I don't have xposed framework installed (I'm toying with adding it).
Secondly, I'm still on the factory kernal. Is there much benefit in flashing one of the newer XDA built versions? Can anyone recommend which one for L17.1?
As ever - many thanks.

Question Built-In Call Recorder?

All my previous OP phones have had a built-in Call Recorder that I could enable by installing the Magisk module linked below (worked on my 5T/6/7 Pro). I've rooted my 9 Pro and installed the module via Magisk but I don't see the call recording options in the settings of the Phone app. Also don't see the option to begin recording the call on the active call screen, or see a notification that calls are being recorded.
So, does anyone know if the call recorder is no longer built in? I know the phone is new and it may not be known yet but figured I'd get the conversation started on this.
[CLOSED] Enable Native Call Recording [OOS] [ROOT/NON-ROOT] [APP/MAGISK MODULE/ADB/TASKER]
Introduction Hello everyone! You might/might not know that OxygenOS (and ROMs based on it) have an in-built/native call recording feature. However, it is not enabled for everyone as it is region-locked and it might/might not be illegal to record...

I don't think it is, pretty sure the call recording feature was built into the OnePlus Dialer apk. The OnePlus 9 Pro (at least my device) uses the Google Dialer apk which doesn't support native call recording.

Ahhhh, that's a bummer. I wonder how successful sideloading the OnePlus Dialer apk would be. I'll try it and report back for those that want to know. Thanks for the info.

Ok. Got it working. Did the following:
1. Installed OnePlus Dialer using Magisk module in XDA page at the bottom of this post. I only needed the DIALER and CONTACTS so I said NO to the MESSENGER.
2. Rebooted, still nothing. Re-flashed module from OP in this thread and rebooted, still nothing.
3. In that same page below, jOnePlusTools is mentioned. Downloaded that from the Play Store, granted root access, enabled both Call Recording options there and voila!
Call recording is now back in the OP dialer. I set the OP dialer as the default phone app and hid the Google dialer.
Hope that helps others.

Thanks.
I also have the OP dialer. Recording works fine.
But on my old OP7Pro i had a folder where all recordings where saved, so i was able to backup them.
Don't remember if it was in Google Phone or OP. Also i don't remember how i did it on the 7.
If i enter the OP Dialer, i can see all recordings, But sharing does not work and "View in file manager" opens the file manager, but no recordings are found.
Anyone knows where the files are stored?
Thanks
Edit:
Found the path:
storage/self/primary/Android/data/com.oneplus.communication.data/files/Record/PhoneRecord

This installation is failing for me.
EDIT: Apparently, it's not supported on Canary. Only Stable.
I like this app: https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=org.skvalex.cr
It has more flexible config. Actually, I installed Magisk module with this app, as there is supposedly a limitation that store apps can't access caller names any longer.

+1 for this app . When my OP7P was upgraded to android 11 I started having issues with stability and realuability of ACR apps I had relied on for years. Stumbled on skvalex module in magiso and gave it a try.
For me best setup is with skvalex as a front end manager for native OP call recorder functionality with o keep enabled via joneplus tools. Nice options in skvalex to import and convert recordings, sync with cloud etc. For me the quality of the recordings worked better simply with skvalex as the GUI and manager rather than using skvalex as both the front and backend. Haven't experienced any issues in well over a year. With previous ACR apps I would sometimes not have recordings or recordings would end prematurely if I was transfered to another person, or switched from hanset to BT, or disconnected from my car and continued call on handset.

ASHA Support (Audio Streaming Hearing Aids)

Since the launch of Android 10 Google has developed ASHA. (Audio Streaming Hearing Aids.) For a long time this was only available on the Pixel lineup. With Android 11 developers have been able to implement this in their custom roms.
My question now is whether LineageOS 18.1 supports ASHA. If it has been added, does it work? There is no such thing listed on the wiki and nothing was posted in threads on XDA or Reddit regarding ASHA. Other custom Android 11 roms such as EvolutionX does support ASHA.
At the moment my OnePlus 6T does meet the requirements for ASHA. (Bluetooth 5.0 LE)
Hopefully one of you can answer this question. Thank you in advance.
