Green Tint on Low Brightness - Samsung Galaxy S20 / S20+ / S20 Ultra Questions &

Hey,
Today suddenly my screen started having a green tint (this happened before in 2020)
This happens when the screen is in low brightness, or screens where most of the screen is dark
The last update was 6 days ago for my SM-G988B/DS (Exynos).
I was wondering if anyone else has this issue and whether or not there's a fix, thanks!

[Q] Phone seems to be heating even on idle

Hey guys there seems to be some sort of a problem with my phone now.
It has never happened before.
I realised that my phone was pretty hot last night, even on idle! It's as if it's running a Tegra game or something. And the battery goes down at a rate of about 50% in 3 hours.
I checked the task manager and couldn't find anything that is fishy.
What else can I do?
Thanks in advance

Took this screen shots after I charged the phone to full, lock its screen, and went to bed. Got up 3 hours later and saw those
It's happening again: http://db.tt/NFKuvmd8
Anyone had any idea what seems to be the problem?
Thanks

The attachment says it all... this is a software screenshot, and when I dim the background in the clock, it gets blotchy on the top and bottom. At first I thought it was my screen, bc its such a wide spread issue with blotches/tints/etc. But after taking a screenshot, it has became clear its not my hardware.
Anyone elses like this/is this normal?

Attachment does not say it all at all. Because it's a blue and white question mark... =/
Although your screenshot link is broken, I think I know what you're talking about. It ONLY happens to me when I have a wallpaper that is very dark in some spots. So it seems as though when it dims, the LED's just darken all the way and you get "blotches" where there are black/more than black LED's next to each other.
But lets get this out of the way now, the screenshot isn't going to show the blotches because this is a screen "issue", not a software issue.

[Q] Red Burn Mark/Smudge on Screen

I noticed some red mark/smudge on my screen when it shows black. Below is the screenshot:

this is really noticeable when i set the brightness to max. is this rom/kernel related or is this an LCD defect? do i need to go to the service center so they can check it? thanks!
I also noticed it on my display few days ago , wasn't there before...
But mine is alot smaller so i don't even shure that they will see it in the service center ..
did you also set the brightness to max?
Yes you only really notice it on full brightness and mine is like the size of a rice grain anyway so you need to look for it to see it.
did you have it checked in a service center? or its not an issue for you?
I have the same problem, is it covered by warranty?

LCD dying with age

Anyone else notice a dim screen on their device? It was super bright when I first got it over a year ago. But recently I've been finding myself not able to read anything in daylight, so I decided to order a new phone because an LCD costs as much as a brand new phone. Here are the results:

2 year old Att i257m on left, week old Sprint l520 on right.
Flashed stock ROM back onto Att one last night thinking maybe the ROM failed on me but its just simply dimmer, by a lot. Anyone know how to look up the files that show current brightness levels?
well as an update I noticed the notification bar is brighter than the rest of the screen, It simply looks like it is worn out from use. the notification bar is black when i have browser open and what not so thats why it is unaffected.

Screen issue: a weird halo visible mostly on white background

Hi (and Hi all, this is actually my first post though I have been following this forum for a while now), I just bought my google pixel 2 xl and despite the blue shift (I actually don't care much) I noticed a weird halo on my screen, mostly visible when I'm reading on white pages. It's very dim, but still there. It looks like an uncleaned spot on the screen and it's mostly visible when you're scrolling. I tested the screen with different colors and it's always there even if it's less visible when on very dark or colored images. I contacted Google via chat and sent'em photos with the halo (being very dim it's not easy to get it in a photo though). They said that it's a too dark photo and that they couldn't help me much rather than suggest me to do a factory reset. I did it. And it didn't work.

Anybody has ever experienced something like this?
cheers
