Hey so as soon as I got this phone I enrolled into the beta program so that I could get on 8.1. Shortly after they came up with the new update on 8.0 that gives you the new display options so I downgraded to get the display options and love it. If I reel enroll in beta will I lose those controls?
If only the 8.1 has a new version that is included Color.
Yes, you lose the color control.
They do say there is an 8.1 update coming out soon though.
Yep

So I recently got my hands on a korean V30 and it needed three updates before it was on Oreo. Now that it is, I am facing random reboots, plenty of freezes and even the scrolling of webpages stutters. Done the whole reset thing twice now. Additionally, even with all the apps closed, the system shows about 70% RAM as used (this is the 4GB RAM variant). anyone else having this?

Yes, I checked and I am on Oreo. I disabled some preinstalled apps and services following the guide in another thread (Guide: Make your V30 faster and smoother). Things are a LOT better now. random reboots have also stopped.
Smart Doctor says 63% RAM used (2.5GB) at any given point in time.

It's not there and even ADB trick to enable standard navbar doesn't work. To be honest, the pill gestures are fine and navbar looks nicer with less clutter. No big loss.

Finger print is better and faster my left hand would never read bt i noticed its better now
update-problems
After the October-Update i can´t use the video-function with the stock-cam. taking pictures is possible ...
and calling someone isn´t possible too. the phone stuck and nothing works -> "system-ui reagiert nicht"... only hardreset is solving this problem -.-
I don't get any notification since the update - anyone got the same problem?
This patch reduced my battery time too much. Before applying this patch my phone lasted 11 hours of screen. Now it only lasts 7 hours.

Yu talking about this update for 7 and 7 pro or it is available for 7t also ??
Guys be aware that people on reddit have reported this updated changed the back gesture range to full length on the sides, meaning they work as back gesture even at the top of the screen, very annoying to people who want to preserve the top 1/3 for app menus
Yep, the navigation gesture goes all the way up as others have mentioned. However, I noticed that lawnchair now works properly with gesture navigation so it's a worthy trade-off for now imo until they fix it.
Everything feels very snappy.
And what about OP gestures? Still nowhere to be found?

For me when I would go to long press swipe up gesture for recents, it would also flip the app drawer up. It didn't really integrate with the home launcher like it did with the OOS launcher. I tried multiple versions, beta, non beta etc.
If I remember correctly there was issues on pixel with third party launchers on gestures when they first came out as well.
Hey where can i download the global version ? I went and updated through Oxygen Updater but then i guess is the indian version? idk but i lost Dolby Atmos functionality and there's no longer any equalizer.
Green tint issue after updating :/ kind of a bummer tho, can anyone else confirm this?

Lock Screen Clock Layout !
Lock Screen Clock LayoutsWith Android 13, a new setting has been added in lock screen settings to toggle the layout of the clock on the lock screen.
In Android 12 currently, the lock screen clock is displayed in the double line layout that you see in the first screenshot above, but only when there are no notifications. When notifications arrive, the layout switches to a single line layout, and reverts back when notifications are cleared. The new setting allows users to retain the single-line layout persistently, something that users had been requesting for a while.
We’ve also seen evidence that this feature is being added to Android 12L, so you may be able to use this pretty soon.
These are all the new features on Android 13 that we have access to. There’s bound to be more features and changes coming, especially once the update officially releases. Until then, this is your first look at Android 13.

I believe the standard schedule every year is the developer preview versions - you can either sign up for the beta program to get, or possibly also flash full firmware if they make them available - start releasing maybe March, April, or May of each year, then they usually have four developer previews - generally monthly, then a few beta versions, and then the "final" release of the new Android version in October, usually coinciding or nearly coinciding with the release of their new Pixels.
(it's been almost three years since I got to test developer previews of Android, etc, since I used my Pixel 1 from 2016 through a few months after it stopped receiving any updates - which was December 2019)
Finally able to edit clocks on the lockscreen!

In the meantime, you can use this app for that if you're not using anything else. It just turned into a payed app but you can subscribe for less than $1/yr after a free trial period.

Control phone volume for calls and notifications separately.

Based on the size of things, and the centred icon row at the bottom, I think this might be what some are referring to as Android 12L designed for tablets, instead of actual Android 13.
I love the large clock, hope that stays large with the option and not small like in the SS
the large clock is the worst thing they brought with android 12 and pixel 6/pro i cant wait to see the feature to make it small show up.... the large clock ruins the photos or backgrounds you put on your phone and for some people is really hard to read and understand .

How is a large clock hard to read or understand? Even the learning disabled would be able to tell what time it is.

It's just a matter of preference. To me (and some others), it's more natural to read time in one line, not have to see huge hours numbers, then move our eyes down to see the huge minutes numbers. If you like it, that's fine, just a lot of folks including myself don't like it.
