Question Bootloader & Play Protect - OnePlus 11

Hi guys,
I have unlocked Bootloader to flash into OOS and back to COS after that. Now, using COS and I still let my Bootloader unlocked but it left Play Protect certificated (I need it to use apps like Gpay).
So, Should I relock Bootloader and how to do it brothers? Anyway to get Play Protect ( I have registered it Device ID, dont sure it worked cause more than 12 hours, nothing changed, lols) without Relock Bootloader ?
Thanks so much

Firstly can you tell me where you bought your device from and if it was brand new or used.
Apart from that the answer is that the difference between a locked and unlocked bootloader is a locked bootloader doesn't give you the ability to root your android device or install custom roms(custom android versions) while on the other hand, if you have a unlocked bootloader you are able to root, install custom roms and basically just modify your android phone. Although there are catches of unlocking the bootloader such as:
You will loose DRM content
You will loose some fuctionalities of your phone that are carrier specific
You will not be able to PROPERLY re-lock the bootloader in case you are thinking of doing that it is possible but you still cannot recover the lost DRM content
You will loose the ability to do FOTA(firmware-over-the-air)upgrades.
That is basically what you will not be able to do.
Although, in my opinion i recommend not unlocking the bootloader yet because the stock android on the phone is brilliant as well as that in the beginnig of April we will be getting the ICS update for our phones which would include nice features like face unlock improved camera app and other major changes which will be good. So i think it is better to wait till then rather than jumping the ship
If you were wondering it is safe to sim unlock your phone(if its locked to a specific network) since you will not loose any functionality of your device. I recommend rooting only if you are going to overclock your device or don't like how it runs if that's not the case then i don't think you should.
You don't need to unlock the bootloader to root your phone and rooting it has no effect on whether you can upgrade or not. If you don't root it you're very limited in what you can tweak and virtually everything on this forum relies on it.
Unlocking the bootloader is only necessary to change roms to cm7, miui etc

[Q] Bootloader question on R800X

So, I've had the play now for a while and for the longest time I was stock rooted and unlocked bootloader on 2.3.2(too lazy to change it). I finally decided to move up, so I used flashtool and moved up to 2.3.3. I then rooted again with zergrush. But curious to know if my bootloader is still unlocked or if I need to unlock it agian. Just curious was all because I have done any tinkering on it in quite a while and wanted to do some more playing around and jhust wanted to make sure I'm still unlocked
Flashing firmware with flashtool does not re-lock your bootloader
ok good stuff just hadn't done anything with the phone in a while and couldn't remember. Tahnks

[Q] Unlock bootloader if Allowed=No for Z1C

Hi there,
I have a network unlocked Z1C which came from o2. The bootloader unlock allowed status is No but the phone is rooted. Is there anything I can do to this to unlock it? I feel like trying CM on it
Thanks!
I have searched for answers to this but no joy...

If your bootloader unlock allowed status is no then you will most likely never be able to unlock that phones bootloader. I think your best bet is to contact O2 and tell them you want a phone on which the bootloader is unlockable, perhaps they can give you a special key to unlock the functionality, but I wouldn't hold my breath.
Oh and don't try CM on it, it'll just bootloop and you'll have to use SUS or PC Companion to restore a working OS.
...actually there is one hope, but it requires dismantling the phone. There is a test-point behind the battery which might enable you to put the device into a mode where it'll accept a command allowing bootloader unlock. But again, high risk, not sure if it's actually possible, easier to just sell the phone and buy an unlockable one if you want to run CM. Maybe you could even return the device, how long have you had it?
my z1c just turned up and ive got an bootloader unlock allowed :victory::victory::victory:
I have locked bootloader on EE in UK and have found that many of the tweaks I wanted can be achieved with Xposed modules. Give it a try but backup before you start.
Need a opinion by a dev
Hello there,
I was thinking about a test.
My problem is "Unlock bootloader allowed : no".
What could happen if i restore an other TA partition with "Unlock bootloader allowed : yes". I erase the old by a new one which unlockable. All i need is a TA partition build with a z1c which unlockable and the unlock code.
What do you think ?
Soory for my bad english
If you replace your ta partition it will most likely hardbrick your device.
What is a ta partition, i don't understand.
A bootloader is like a bios on motherboard.
But it is locked by a code.
The bootloader is the same on each z1c no ?

Flashing another phone's TA will hard brick yours, every TA is related to the phone which comes from

Is Mi Unlock necessary if my phone is already rooted?

I waited the 72 hours and then ran the program on my PC for the Mi Unlock, and then afterwards I wiped the phone clean, flashed TWRP, and put on miui10, forgetting that doing a data wipe resets the Mi Unlock status. Do I really need to reunlock it, cause if so it will delete all my data again..
Edit: It's just odd because on the bootloader screen, 'fastboot oem device-info' shows my bootloader unlocked still, I have Magisk installed, running joeykrim's Root Checker from google play shows root access not properly installed, running flar's DevCheck from google play shows the device rooted, I have BusyBox installed , and lastly, in the Developer options, OEM Unlocking is ticked on, but doesn't say already unlocked, and the Mi Unlock status still shows locked. Lots of conflicting info here, so just a bit wary since this is my first Xiaomi phone.
I went ahead and tried unlocking again with the tool and I get this (see screenshot)
Usually unlocked only once, but if your device is locked again, it can be unlocked without any damage. Don't know what ROM you use If it is a world class ROM, ctf will not pass. For magisk, you have to modify the fingerprint to pass. Try studying. You have to do it. Good luck.

WEll everything is running fine being rooted. MAgisk SAfetyNet passes, rooted apps work fine, but Mi Unlock still shows my phone is 'locked'm but fastboot says it's unlocked. And I'm using the official miui_MIMIX2Global_V10.2.2.0.ODEMIXM_a92827160b_8.0 rom and fw_chiron_miui_MIMIX2Global_V10.2.2.0.ODEMIXM_a92827160b_8.0 firmware
You don't have to worry. I think your device is already unlocked. If the device is still locked, you cannot install twrp.
yeah thats why im confused. everything works fine. i guess i wont worry about it unless i come to a problem
