Hi!
I am trying to unlock the bootloader of my honor view 20. But You need an unlock code and huawei wont give it to you anymore. So i tried this bruteforce programm https://github.com/programminghoch10/huawei-honor-bootloader-bruteforce from SkyEmie. I tried it a couple times but it hasn't worked. Turns out Huawei has removed the unlock feature for Android 10, so i tried to downgrade the software with hi suite proxy. I dont know what i did wrong but for some reason the update verification failed and it just did not worked.
I really hope that someone can help me with this. My Goal is to root the device, overclock it and build a gaming handheld.
Thank you so much for helping!
I think you can't do it via the script. It's complicated and takes about 40-50 days I think with no success (read here). You can't do it via dc-unlocker because kirin 980 isn't supported. Downgrading software ok kirin 980 results in block USB, fast charging until you update to newest software version.

Hello and good day XDA
I need help unbricking my device.
Before I go on ahead, let me give some background:
My huawei is the latam version and it was originally carrier locked, but since I like tinkering stuff I went ahead and switched the build.prop to match a device eligible for upgrade (yes very irresponsible I know). but it worked and I had my phone with Emotion UI 1.5
I carried it around like this for a couple of months until today I tried rooting the device using genokolar's tools.
And well... I done gone and bricked it.
Currently, the device is stuck in bootloader and I can access both fastboot and recovery. (it can also charge)
I can´t seem to get adb access when I plug it in so the only option I'm seeing is to force update with the sd card.
the only problem I'm facing is that I get version list verify fail (using the latest ics firmware from the website).
do you guys know of any way to unbrick it via another method, or tweak the UPDATE.APP file to bypass version listing?
Thanks again for your help.
So I have been trying to install Cyanogenmod 14, but I am kind of new to this, so I will probably seem pretty stupid. I basically tried to install it but forgot to unlock my bootloader. It was messed up, but I got help to install 2.20.40.184, so it works again. Now, however, I still want to install cyanogenmod 14. Partly because I for some reason don't get the OTA updates (I live in Denmark, where the Zenfone 2 isn't sold, so that may be it), so I've been stuck on lollipop since I got the phone. I don't even get a software update section under settings. So after all this, I tried to unlock the bootloader with the official app that you can download from the Asus website, however, when I do that, I get an error message saying "This device model is not supported". So looking for manual ways to root, I only found one that works with marshmallow, and when I download a ROM for marshmallow, I don't get the notification about an available software update. I also cannot enter recovery mode.
Hope this made sense, and that I posted it in the right place. Thank you!

Look for raw file .196 LP from RealYoti on here
Flash it in boot loader, with AFTool
You may have a china firmware converted to WW.
Once you flash try unlock ..or update from sd card to M ...Check my signature for flashing in AFT , also clues in downgrade link for how to write M to be recognised after a reboot for updating
If not got Chinese original serial you should be fine
Then when upgraded to M , Modder tool should be ok for unlocking bl in M
Then you can install 14.1
Hi, thank you very much for your reply.
Should I flash the raw file .196 even though I am using .184 right now? And which of the links in your signature is for flashing with AFtool (and where do I get AFTool?)
I have no idea if I have a chinese firmware converted to WW. Sorry, I am new to this xD
Yes, I am planning to use the modder tool once I have managed to update to Marshmallow.
Thank you very much
Hi guys
So recently there was some uploads to Firmware Finder of some BETA's of EMUI 9 of China models BUT please be sure to read this before you try anything with this beta sofware.
I recently, about a week ago when the BETA came out I was really excited like maybe you are but I did a mess noone on this Forum could fix literally.
DO NOT FOLLOW ANY PROCEDURE OF THIS!
Now what I did was:
1. I unlocked both FRP and bootloader of my device.
2. I flashed TWRP recovery
3. I backup my oem-info (ANE-LX1C432) and copied it to my sd card
4. I flashed the oem-info of the chinese model (ANE-AL00) which I copied to my sd card
5. I flashed the Hurupdater with all necessary files from the Firmware Finder.
6. Rebooted phone and it booted normally.
7. Setup screen did not appear and EMUI 9 took me directly to the home screen, I had no google play services of course since it's a chinese ROM, almost no system apps but gestures were present and quite smooth and fast actually. The ROM was fast.
8. Went to Settings-->System-->Developer options-->OEM unlocking was gray which I found pretty weird but then I searched Google and in China they do not have that option on Developer settings so maybe that's why it was gray.
Anyway since this option was gray I thought (stupidly) that maybe after a factory reset the option would become changeable again. It didn't. At that time the phone did a factory reset and afterwords by bootloader become "Relocked" and FRP was "locked. At that time system was unbootable no matter what you try.
Tried multiple commands via fastboot but since FRP is locked you can't do anything that change the system, even the FRP unlock code I got which I payed for (20€) did not work (Not sure why either but I think it's because since my oem-info changed the IMEI was changed randomly or something like it). I thought the command "fastboot boot twrp.img" would work right? but nope, nothing allowed.
Second thing I tried was the dload packages of course. I tried all kinds of packages. Tried the one I installed, the ANE-AL00C01 (9.0.1.100) one. Didn't work as it is the same version. Tried to downgrade for an older EMUI 9 beta package like ANE-AL00C01 (9.0.1.41) and did not work either.
Packages above ^ were from the Firmware so nothing is signed by Huawei.
Then I tried signed packages both from this ANE-AL00 model and my model ANE-LX1C432 but nothing seemed to work.
Only thing I thought of was to flash motherboard firmware which I looked deep into the FCC certification tests you can find this on Google:
https://fccid.io/QISANE-LX1/Test-Report/BLE-Test-report-3742444
Which tells us the motherboard base software version for my model is ANE-LX1 8.0.0.41(SP1C900).
But we don't have access to it of course since it's motherboard official software from Huawei, so maybe only some official Huawei Repair Center have the right tools for this.
BUT, on easy firmware you can get it for 15€. Easy firmware is trusted and they do have an unofficial tool that can flash official motherboard software.
Now before I tried it, I sent my phone to warranty. And I gotta say, I was not very confident about it. I sent it for repair on 6 of February and I said the phone couldn't boot and I installed a beta version via Hicare app (this is how I maybe thought they could believe me), by the way the eRecovery was in chinese so I said I installed a chinese official beta from Huawei from Hicare XDDDDDDDDD
Do you know what they did? It was not an official Huawei Repair Center, although I do have one in my country, it was just one authorized by Huawei, they said the phone didn't boot as well OK, but then they just replaced the whole motherboard due to a IMEI issue, flashed the base firmware from EMUI 8.
After that I payed nothing since it was on warranty, got "a new phone" pretty much, charging port is new but battery is the same I think, and learned something interesting, NEVER FLASH CHINESE OEM-INFO's !!!!!!!!
But seriously, I'm an IT Technician and I thought I had so much luck here because if they knew what I did I would have to pay for the repair and quite a lot (just the motherboard is 200€ btw) !
Altough I was quite pissed cause why the fk wouldn't they just flashed the board software again? YIKES
Anyways, I'm happy, while I had no phone I trusted my old moto g 2014 (titan) with sailfish OS 3 and I then realised how much I want a fkin Sony Xperia X or XA2 so I can have
that best OS of all time and still have those nasty android apps
And if you need a guide for the correct installation of EMUI 9 Chinese beta , please contact @qouet or check his thread here:
https://forum.xda-developers.com/huawei-p20-lite/development/port-nova3e-official-rom-to-ane-lx1-t3897076
I'm not sure how is it going but too have the gapps you gotta work a bit i guess,
People like me with a P20 Lite main phone, just wait for stable versions or flash european versions without changing oem-info's please Don't make the mistake I did and almost buy a new phone
Cheers to all!

Did you try to change oeminfo using HwOTA?

I woulded have tried but since I can't flash or boot a twrp image you can't do much on those cases HwOTA relies on a TWRP recovery.
Thanks!

Is there already Dark Theme on EMUI 9? Thanks.

Hey
For now I only know that the feature is only present on Huawei Mate 20RS, Mate 20X and Mate 20 Pro due to higher capacity batteries, here's the official info:
https://consumer.huawei.com/uk/support/faq/have-you-tried-the-new-dark-interface-from-emui-9/
But maybe it will come eventually in the future for all Huawei phones with EMUI 9 as a standard feature but for now nope...
Cheers,

Dear community,
I am the proud owner of this superb phone. I have it in completely stock mode, never unlocked or rooted (sorry to say that, but the days of flashing new roms every week are history for me for some years already).
I have bought it in EU from official partner (no grey import!), the HiSuite installed the build number DUK-L09C432B189 (Android 7) as the latest version, which is odd, since I know this device has been rolled out with Android 8 and will get Android 9 soon, even in EU.
I have downloaded the Stock ROM with January 2019 patch set, build number DUK-L09C432B378 directly from honor cloud.
I have tried all the possible combinations of uploading the files to the SD Card and flash it this way (create dload folder and put UPDATE.APP inside, tried also uploading zip files, tried to store them directly to root without dload folder etc.) but none of them worked for me. Always got to 5 % and then "Software installation failed". The dload/UPDATE.APP was the only combination going forward via *#*#2846579#*#* menu and SDcard upgrade, so it rebooted into flashing mode, all the other combinations failed with "no firmware found", etc.
Anyone has any bulletproof idea how to continue? I have even found somewhere an information, that particularly C432 are unable to be flashed via SDcard... Why would just this region be such limited?
I have spent last 8 hours trying all the possible combinations and need a push to the right direction.
Thanks in advance for any help guys.

Get a new phone. Huawei seems to have just forgotten that this phone exists. And this is high time you move to a phone more customizable and popular with all the trade wars going on. If you had the Bootloader unlocked you could have just flashed the Ota rom updater zip with the update folder inside. Alternatively you can use firmware finder but this includes changing your dns server. All the best. Don't expect a lot of replies, this phone along with it's user base is basically dead.
Yeah, I would love to get a new phone. But the only option to get the same features is leading me back to Huawei again. (I use mainly GSMarena to do the comparison of features, and verify on other sources as well.)
So instead of buying another one, which (with the knowledge of the situation of US/CN trade war, is currently a walk into a dead forest) I would just keep this Honor 8 Pro till it works.
And it's not really true Huawei has forgotten it totally. Why would they rollout Android 9 to it then?
Let me rephrase the question a little bit: Is there anyone who has successfully upgraded their Honor 8 Pro with C432 region via SD card? If so, how?
Thanks.
So I have written to Honor support and they seem to have my phone enabled for the updates, since I got the latest update finally today. Thus SDcard method is not required anymore.
Hi @gabriel31337 - i have exact the same problem. Whom did you contact to get the latest version OTA enabled?
Hi @UFO-waRhawK, I have wrote to this mail address: [email protected]
Ok, whoever faces this problem, insert a valid SIM card. Once i inserted my SIM, i was able to update to the latest version immediately. You can still download the update via WLAN, but using only WLAN without a SIM will let you stay on the old version.
I just buy a matepad pro. I then update all software update and factory reset as usual, however, I just notice that GMS(Googlefier) need to be installed during EMUI 10. (I already try to install GMS on EMUI11 but it not working.)
So I find the roll back method and find that HiSuite provided this roll back.
However, when I use it, I don't find that function in the update function.
I already try to use HiSuite proxy but it say something like group not match.
I already try to downgrade by download EMUI 10, copy to usb, and do with update option but it say that it cannot be downgrade by that.
For CUST, BASE, etc (sry cant remember, but it is the secret function that need to access by calculator) it all show 11.x.x.x.
In the Huawei community, they said that if there is no option to roll back on HiSuite, then just contact the customer service.
BUT, I already contact the customer service BUT they said that they also use the same tool (HiSuite) and it not be able to roll back, so they not be able to help.
Please help. Without GMS, it like a paperweight for me.
I have successfully installed GMS on my Huawei Matepad Pro and also updated to EMUI 11
If I use this version of HiSuite:
HiSuite_11.0.0.500_OVE
MediaFire is a simple to use free service that lets you put all your photos, documents, music, and video in a single place so you can access them anywhere and share them everywhere.
www.mediafire.com
When I try to update it says I have the latest version - I also get the option to downgrade to 10.1.0.182 (but I have not done the downgrade)
If you are sucessfull, you have to downgrade again to version 10.1.0.120 before tryingto install GMS
I used the recovery menu to downgrade to 10.1.0.120 with a usb-memory and usb-c adaptor.

I have my Matepad Pro attached with HDB to this version of HiSuite and when I press "System Update" it searches for a while, then it says I have the latest offificial version (11.0.0.166) and below it says "switch to other version"
When I press "switch to other version" I get the option to install version 10.1.0.182
I dont know why that is not working for you, sorry
I did exactly same on wifi pro today. It was on newest emui 11. Hisute 11 put it to 10.1.0.182., then dload from nm card to 10.1.0.1120.

can I have your image when you use hisuit? Jusst to know what version of phone, app you using
Someone can post an old build? if I try to install from update mode it's possible?
hisuite doesn't work for me.
I just bought MatePro 10.8. It came with EMUI 11, when i tried to use HiSuite I cannot see the option to see previous updates so cannot use it. My question is can I downgrade to EMUI 10 using USB C method and installation with Recovery mode? Or that's it and won't be able to downgrade directly from 11 to 10?
Hi, got the same issue. Using HiSuite and HisuiteProxy, but no luck to downgrade. All loading great, but on final step getting error ="Software Install Failed".
Tried to downgrade only via HiSuite, but no option to downgrade shown. Any other options?

I get this too! Installed 10.1 via hisuite proxy but then says failed to install.
