Global Developer 7.5.25

Hi everyone!
I have a Mi 5s with MIUI v8.2.1.0 (MAGMIDL, Global Stable), but I want to switch to a Nougat ROM.
I saw on the official site (http://en.miui.com/download-314.html#465) MIUI v7.5.25 (Global Developer), but I have few question about that:
Which language are included? I need Italian
How can I install it over my current ROM?
In case Italian is not present... could you suggest me a good and stable (enough for daily use, with FingerPrint working and a decent battery life) Nougat ROM? I don't mind if it is MIUI or not. I can unlock bootloader too if needed, but I would prefer to keep it locked.

Hi...in the first....that 7.5.25 build is based still on android 6....and yes it have italian cuse its global dev rom....Now xiaomi is testing the android 7 for our devices....but if you want Miui on 7....you can do like me....unlock your bootloader, chaange to TWRP Recovery, go to xiaomi.eu website and download latest weekly rom for mi5s....it is based on android 7.0, it is verrryyyy stable and have the 3d touch feature....

Do a clean install....everytime when going from ANDROID 6 TO 7 EVERYTIME....and you can not wipe you internal storage....but always wipe system....

If I'll go to Mokee" Rom (Android P), Can I get back to MIUI 8.7.5 (Oreo)

As Like Going to Android O after Instaliing Android P is a downgrade too, So I was just wondering if I can checkout Mokee Android P Rom, Can I get back to MIUI 8.7.12 (Oreo), Or even Anti Rollback Policy will Restrict me from doing that. I finally manage to download and flash TWRP on my RN5 Pro so far. I love MIUI but Even love to Check Another Roms. I'm at MIUI 8.7.12 currently.
I'll be glad if some MODERATORS will reply me about it, As I want to check Android P, biut without Bricking my Phone lol.

miui 10 8.7.5 is ARB3
this only applies to MIUI roms if AOSP or LAOS it doesnt apply.
but when going back to miui go back to 8.7.5 or global stable 5.9.17.0

yes you can use AOSP or LAOS roms no problem here.. only in miui.. do not flash older 9.5.17.0 global stable or miui 10 8.7.5 only in miui roms you get ARB search more and youll find how to..

MIUI 10 Stable vs Beta

Hello! What is your experience using MIUI 10 Beta ? How stable is it and are there any critical bugs in it? How do things go with energy consumption? How quickly do bugs fix there?

I want to know that did Xiaomi stopped beta program for miui 10? Or it's just they didn't provide weekly build today?
Because i'm on miui 10 beta and didn't recieve any uodate today. So i thought maybe since they have launched public stable buil so they have stopped beta program. Is it true?

It is because their devs are on holidays. They do this annually, they made a post about this and the next beta build comes at 11/10.
MIUI Beta and Stable are largely the same for now. Both are good in battery life and performance but I found MIUI 10 a bit stuttering with animations and scrolling compared to MIUI 9.6.4. Also weirdly the graphics options in PUBG has been reduced with MIUI 10. Don't know why.. Switched to MSM-X Pie Rom for now.

How? What about Anti Roll back? I was in Resurrection remix before Miui 10 but after miui 10 i have to stick with it because of ARB policy. Also miui 10 public build has no finger print lock option. But i'm on beta build so everything seems to be working fine here for now.

Arb doesn't apply to custom ROMs. You can switch between custom ROMS as usual. Just don't go back to a older version of MIUI. Fingerprint works in stable build for me.

Oh. Thanks. Then i'll definitely try Android Pie based Custom ROMS. But Camera quality becomes worse in Custom ROMS.
What's the point of having a good camera hardware if it's in no use in custom ROMS.

Wrong.
Most of the custom roms for whyred come with mi A2 camera pre installed,the you can add gcam onto that.there is no difference between miui and custom camera.because its not the operatint system that defines quality of the picture taken with camera,its the application you are using.
If its a better application or same,there wont be any difference.

Actually in my oneplus one and oneplus 5 custom roms doesn't give same camera quality as stock roms. That's why i'm afraid to flash custom rom on redmi note 5 pro. :/

When Android 10 custom rom will landed on Mix 3 ?

Anyone working on it ? I'm happy to test it
Waiting so long since AOSP is officially announced, and seeing other phone like Mix 2/2s Mi8 already got a custom rom made me sad

Those devices (most of them) have Beta ROMs from Xiaomi with updated drivers. That's why they have full 10 ROMs.

Xiaomi released a timeline for MIUI 11 beta and global ROMs which can be found here.
TLDR; The Chinese beta ROM should be rolling out to the Mix 3 starting Sept 27th. The global ROM should be rolling out mid-October.

So..if our device has been confirmed to get Android 10, and MIUI 11 will still stick to Pie...when we will get it? When Android 11 will be avaible? Just saying..

Its simple. First we will get MIUI 11 based on Pie, later we will get update to newer Android still with MIUI 11.

MIUI's naming convention doesn't necessarily align with Android's. Hence why some devices running MIUI 11 are based off Pie while others are based off Android 10. Xiaomi will probably update MIUI 11 to Android 10 in future updates for the devices which aren't already.

I knew about MIUI acting differently from EMUI. But not updating OS makes almost no sense, because Mix 3 is a device with one year of life. Should have priority in major updates or am i wrong? Anyway, i think it should get at least 2 majors when time will come. Thanks for the answer

Did you wipe data before flashing it?, I flashed ir right away without knowing it was android 10 based and it is glitched as hell, with apps crashing and such.

I just updated from MIUI 10.3.2.0 global stable (android 9) to MIUI 11.1 Xiaomi.eu weekly beta (9.12.12 based on android 10) without any issues. I was rooted with TWRP installed on 10.3.2.0, here's what I did (this will wipe all your data so make backups beforehand):
Put Xiaomi.eu 9.12.12 on a USB-C flash drive (not necessary but a little easier than transferring it via cable)
Booted to TWRP
Wipe > Factory reset
Wipe > Format data (then typed 'yes' to confirm)
Wiped dalvik & cache
Went back to reboot options > booted to TWRP (recovery) again
Flashed 9.12.12 zip from flash drive
Wiped dalvik & cache
Booted to system. No app crashes or lag or anything
Also you can downgrade from the Xiaomi.eu android 10 ROMs. It's not super clear whether the Mix 3 has active anti-rollback or not (some sources say yes but plenty of people have been able to go back and forth without issue with an unlocked bootloader). I checked the ARB versions just to be safe and for 10.3.2.0 and 11.1 they are both 2 so there should be no issue downgrading with an unlocked bootloader.

Unfortunately the kernel they are referencing has to be for the 5G Mix 3. The perseus still only has a pie branch. I know a lot of people have been working on this, myself included. I got something to compile the other night, however it does not boot. I know there are smarter people than me working on this and I know how long it took to build a tree (with full kernel source) for the LG G3 when I was working on that device.
Edit: so poking around for the first time not on my phone, I found this: https://github.com/MiCode/Xiaomi_Kernel_OpenSource/tree/dipper-q-oss
That tree is now tagged like it's for many devices - I think a n00b made that commit, cause that makes NO SENSE AT ALL.

As a normal user, i can't understand what language you are speaking lol, just seen that post on xda news and i though that's a great news.

Freezer Screen for 2 minutes

This makes sense, don't worry, you are not alone. MIUI 12.5 is a poorly optimized ROM.
I suggest you unlock the bootloader and flash MIUI 11 Fastboot ROM and lock the bootloader again.

Sadly that is also part of MIUI 12.5, that's the only reason I switched to MIUI 11. For me, MIUI 11 is a good ROM and you can do multi-tasking without any issues (Not at the same level as a custom rom ).
