Question OnePlus 9 Pro crashes for no apparent reason - OnePlus 9 Pro

Hey, i think ever since i update to andorid 12 my phone went bananas (i have the latest official android 13), it crashes for no apparent reason, it can happen during video recording, browsing facebook or even just scrolling through the apps.
What happens is that the screen freeze for 2-3 seconds, then goes black and only a hard reset works, but after hard reset one of the 3 will happen:
1. Best case scenario it will load the phone again.
2. Restarts a couple of times until it finally loads
3. Loads a black screen with the writing: "Qualcomm Crash Dump mode, die", and i have to hard reset it again.
This can happen multiple times a day, or sometimes not every day.
Anyone encourted this and has an idea how to fix that? It drives me crazy...

Which phone model do you have?
Eg ; LE2123 ( EU ), this will be one the back of the phone near the charge port, and on your box.
Which version of A13 do you have installed?
Eg ( see screenshot )
This will tell us if your phone has a ROM from the same region it has been modified ( with or without your knowledge).
For the ROM version it maybe easier to get the info from oxygen updater ( like I have for the example)
Once we have this information, we'll be able to continue.

Hi, tnx for the reply.
I have EU LE2123 like u mentioned.
The A13 version i have is an official version: LE2123_11_F.74
In case this is relevant:
Baseband version: Q_V1_P14,Q_v1_P14
Kernel version: 5.4.147-qgki-ga543fdc488be
I would like to mention that i didn't do any modifications to the phone, no rooting, default boot, default rom.

Hi
Thanks for supplying the information.
Did you buy the phone directly from OnePlus (EU)?
Do you have any apps installed from 'unknown sources ' that didn't come from the Google play store?
Please don't do the below, these are just my thoughts - can someone elses reading this please fill in the gaps/advise
Does anyone reading this thread know how to extract and see the Qualcomm dump files, as there is likely to be some information in there. ( Without modifying the phone )
From the information I would suggest running hardware tests, there should be something in the menus ( somewhere ).

I would flash the op9 with d msm tool and then update it again to oos 13 to see if the bugs are still there (to rule out a hardware defect)

Nothing special, maybe just the Gcam, the rest are direct google play installations.
If you know where i can run the hardware tests please let me know, couldn't find any option.

What's the d msm tool?
Will i have to reset my op9?

Never upgrade to useless patches for security / new android versions. I am still on factory unlocked OOS 11 with zero problems.

Sometimes you just have to bite the bullet. Use the MSM tool to do a clean reset back to factory. Use the tool for your model and region. Yes, you will be starting over from the beginning.
Software during downloading has been known to get corrupted.
Revive your OnePlus 9, 9 Pro, and 9R back to factory firmware with these unbrick packages
MsmDownloadTool, i.e. the official unbrick packages for the OnePlus 9, OnePlus 9 Pro, and the OnePlus 9R, is now available for download.

Thank you all for your recommendations, if you have any other ideas that won't require the phone reset i'd appreciate that.

There may be other recommendations to come, however, considering the issues you are having, any other path other than a full reset could cause you to carry over the same if not more issues. A clean break and clean MSM back to factory would be more certain of clear out the problems. Provided that the issues are software related. But there is only one way to prove it out.. MSM TIME!

Mi A2 Lite - Unable to perform system updates + missing settings

Hi there,
I recently received a Mi A2 Lite.
After setting it up for the first time, the sytem showed a notification saying "System update - Unable to install system update - Click here to know more".
No information is displayed when I click this notification.
I decided to try to search for an update manually. Unfortunately, I have to face a pretty uncommon problem. I do not have any "Check system update" menu.
I looked for it in Settings > System and in Settings > System > About the phone. Nothing. I even activated the Developers Tools settings to check if I could find it, with no results...
I am no developer and I am pretty unfamiliar with deep system modifications. However I have tried to follow many tutorials to try to flash and root the system in order to be able to install manually a newer Android version. No success so far...
FYI, there is also something I do not get, in the Developer tools settings, there is no OEM enable option...
Here are some info on the operating system :
- Android version : 8.1.0
- LineageOS API level : Ilama (9)
- Security patch update : December 5th 2018
- Provider security patch level : December 1st 2018
- Kernel Version : 3.18.131-Genom-AOSP-LA.UM.6.6.r1-10400-89xx.0+ (gcc version 4.9x 20150123 (prerelease) (GCC))
- Build date : Mon Dec 31 14:34:24 UTC 2018
- Build number : OPM1.171019.019.V9.6.6.0.ODLMIFF
Does anybody have an idea on what's the matter here ?
Many thanks in advance for your great help
Cheers;
One thing is confusing me, "lineageos API Level.."
Maybe you bought a used Phone and it's already modified so now you're on LOS 15.
You don't need much knowledge to get your Phone back to Stock Android One, follow this link to get all info/tools you need:

Greetings
Thomas
Before you flash stock ROM on your device make sure you check that your device codename is "daisy". Daisy is the codename for Xiaomi Mi A2 Lite AndroidOne version. If you see "Sakura" somewhere in the about phone settings, this means you've bought a Redmi 6 Pro (MIUI version). Many people reported issues like this where they bought a second hand "Mi A2 Lite" but then their device turned out to be a Redmi 6 Pro that's been flashed with Lineage OS. If you flash the stock Mi A2 Lite ROM on a Redmi 6 Pro, you'll most likely brick the device and it will be very hard to recover.
If your phone is actually Mi A2 Lite, it will have androidone logo on the back cover, if yours have it then continue to flash the stock ROM for Mi A2 Lite. But if you're missing that logo, you should go over to the Redmi 6 Pro forum and flash the ROM of your choice from there. Cheers.
EDIT: If you need further help, don't hesitate to PM me.
@marstonpear @ohwarumbloss,
Thanks for your replies and your help guys.
Unfortunately, I couldn't find any solution so far.
The phone does have the AndroidOne logo on its back cover, but I couldn't find any "daisy" mention in the "About the phone" information menu. Neither I found any "Sakura" mention, so I guess this is a normal AndroidOne version.
I have faced some problems while flashing the stock ROM with an error message from MiFlashTools claiming there was a missmatch between the device and the ROM.
I have decided to launch a final nuclear attack against the seller and they accepted to refund me. I'm pretty happy I will no longer have to deal with this mess.
Many thanks for your replies guys. I hope I'll be the only one facing this wierd update problem.
Oh well, glad you got rid of it
I figured I'd ask in here rather than open new thread. Where would I find stock update .zip files for this device already installed TWRP.

I believe you can't. Stock updates can't be installed through TWRP. But one user had made a package for stock ROM himself, so you can grab that package if you can find it in the forum. I'm not sure where you can find it, but someone made a flashable zip for TWRP. Check the Telegram groups and the forum please. Cheers.

Hey, same issue here. My dad bought the same model and it keeps warning about this impossible updates. I don' have any nuclear weapon, so I'm planning to threaten the seller to get the money back.

Move from V11.0.3.0.PGGEUXM to V11.0.6.0.PGGMIXM, possible?

My device seems to be Europe due to the default OS that came with the device, I have never unlocked the bootloader or done changes to the ROM, however I'd like to move to Global because it's said to have differences among the EUROPE version? If so, how and if I can move to the global version?

There's a OTA for 11.0.2.0 to up to 11.0.6.0. Two ways to install:
1 via TWRP wiping dalvik cache, cache, data, system and flash.
2 regret MIUI 11.0.2.0 via fastboot like mine video:

Words of advise, just do not attempt to do anything without UNLOCKING YOUR BOOTLOADER FIRST!!
You simply cannot switch regions before taking that first preliminary step.
That's the way it goes.
Hope this helps,

Successfully moved from 11.0.3 EU to 11.0.6 Global, no issues, however, I can't seem to install Magisk cause I end up in a bootloop.

I asked the same question, because i am on the global euro firmware, and my phone is not detecting my NAVIGO transit card through NFC. I was wondering if the global international was better regarding this matter.
I've moved from EEA to GLOBAL with Xiaomitool 2, it changes my firmware to 11.0.2 GLOBAL without unlocking the bootloader, and then I manually push the full upgrade through the update app. Then I restore my phone for a full restoration.
Working smooth without issues.

When I am unsure what the real differences are because I think HW is the same for both Global and Eu phones, I am pretty sure Laws regarding privacy of users are more strict in EU and there are probably some alteration of bundled software to abide with them.
Those privacy laws are the main reason why neither of those Roms have default MIUI dialer + recording and Messaging, because Xiaomi collects quite a lot of data. Not saying Google does not, but they already had to abide with those Rules and Regulations, so was probably way easier to bundle default android apps, rather than patching their own apps and doing so ending up having 2 versions of the same app.
Besides that, I am pretty curious too what really are the difference between EEA and Global versions with same number. Of course if we compare two different versions of MIUI, we will always find something different.
I am not sure where we can find an official info.
UPDATE:
As I was suspecting looks like main differences are related to ads and how/what datas can be collected or not.
From this post here where users were speaking about it too, differences seems to be summarized to those main differences:
EEA is a Global Rom specially designed for Europe - which basically is just saying they are taking GDPR seriously. You won't get ads and you will need to accept a prompt on every instance where they would collect data (unlike standard Global one).
Global ROM:
This is the official worldwide ROM for all countries except China
The Global ROM has also a Beta Program
The Global ROM receives updates every 1 to 2 months
EEA ROM:
This ROM was specifically designed for EU countries
During the first setup, one can disable all ads inside Mi Apps globally, whereas in the Global ROM, one needs to do that in the Apps themselves
The EEA ROM doesn't have a Beta program
Updates seem to be slower

Hope this helps and is accurate.

Use xiaomitool v2 to change from EEA to global stable.
Just search it at xda forum, download it, and follow the instruction o both screen, PC and phone.
I had change the rom without unlocking the bootloader, no problems at all. But do it with your own responsability. I made it following the instructions from the forum of the Xiaomi Mi 9, that someone make it without unlocking bootloader. So I think than on ours phone, it was the same thing.
I delete my gmail account and the rest of account, then I follow the instruction. Clickin on My phone works correctly and i want to mod it, when Xiaomitool v2 ask me what i want to do. Then, click on global, the program itself download global rom 11.0.2 and then install via fastboot. Then i initialised the phone, put the full update global 11.0.6 zip in the phone storage, then go to update app, touch ten times miui 11 logo, and then, tap on the tree dots, manual upgrade, select the update zip. The phone installa the update and you will get your Redmi Note 8 Pro EEA 11.0.3 rom moved to Redmi Note 8 Pro GLOBAL 11.0.6.

Personally after I have debloated the phone using Saki tools (I was not aware of that 'option' to disable ads within the settings) I dont get those MIUI ads everywhere. Of course that does not remove the 'Free' applications ads from the 3rd party application you may install (freemium games and such). Adaway might deal with those, or patch of culprit app with Luckpatcher or such. Or just dont install Adware apps.
I also did not really read what was asked of me when I first started the phone, but as a general rule I answer NO to every thing
For example an other girl friend of mine, who has no computer skills and just started the phone out of the box gets ads everywhere.
An other example the MIUI app installer, which I thought was essential to run the OS, adds ads for every apk installation. You get rid of that, you fall back on regular android stock installer and it has no ads.
Basically all MIUI apps shipped with the phone en EEA has ads. So if you have no use for them, get rid off them.
Once you have removed/disabled all of those, you'll get considerably less ads showing for sure
Hope this helps.

Greetings @roberto_1986,
Your choice between A9 and A10 will summarize easily. Do you need one of the new features provided on A10 which was not present on A9 version? If you do not know or if you are not sure, then you dont need A10, stick to A9 for now. Less bugs, better performance and battery life. OS is more mature.
Now regarding rooting, on A9 Rom nothing as easy as pressing the root button under the LR TWRP (1104 version for A9 1210 for A10), then pressing the Closing AVB 2.0 button and you are done. From there you can update to latest stable version within the OS (do not use the beta ones, no point using those and it did not work for me). Works like a charm. I am on MIUI 11.0.2.0 (A9) EEA and never had any kind of issues using this method a few times. I never tried the A10 version of the LR TWRP so I have no idea if they offer the same option for rooting on A10 or not.
You can also unroot from that same LR TWRP in case that would be required at some point.
Hope this helps.

I am unsure if OFFICIAL TWRP 3.4.0 is meant for A10, I suggest you to read their its thread to see if people are using it on A10 or not. Personally I installed it yesterday on A9 and it saved my day restoring a backup made with some other UNOFFICIAL TWRP.
The UNOFFICIAL LR TWRP (chinese/english) which was released last year is the version which includes the rooting ability for A9 (and maybe for A10 too). OFFICIAL TWRP does not have such additional goodies since it is the OFFICIAL branch of TWRP.
You can check this guide using the UNOFFICIAL LR TWRP to root device, ALL steps you need to take to root your device properly are explained here. That's for A9, not A10.
[GUIDE][BEGONIA]Unlock Bootloader, Flash TWRP and Root[PROPER]
Note a quick search within forums would have probably leaded you there, try it next time, that's helpful feature of forums
As for the UNOFFICIAL LR TWRP (by wzsx150) thread for P and Q you can find it there:

Rooting A9 from the LR TWRP 1104 is guaranteed to work. That's what I used myself. As for A10 (Q) I have no idea, check/ask the thread.
Let us know how it turns out and you did to make it work.
Good Luck!

As for the UNOFFICIAL LR TWRP (by wzsx150) thread for P and Q you can find it there:
[RECOVERY][begonia][UNOFFICIAL by wzsx150][P/Q]TWRP recovery for Redmi Note 8 Pro
Rooting A9 from the LR TWRP 1104 is guaranteed to work. That's what I used myself. As for A10 (Q) I have no idea, check/ask the thread.
Let us know how it turns out and you did to make it work.
Good Luck!

That's very wise not to install stuff you find from internet from unknown sources.
Not sure how you found that website, but I never heard of it or even seen it for the matter. I would not consider it safe myself.
I used to be able to download stuff from MiFirm which *looked* more legit but who knows.
You can find the required files from the xda threads I posted above, it may come from individuals, but I do consider it safer somehow because we have feedback from xda users. Back then when we installed those unofficial version there were not official support of any kind anyway so we kind of had to be 'advanturous'. I dont even remember from where I got mine myself.
Best I can do for you is to provide you with the checksums of the file I did use to root my A9 and reflashed not so long ago.
Code:
$ md5sum recovery-TWRP-3.3.1-1104-REDMI_NOTE8PRO-CN-wzsx150.img
e41bba28984f14ea56da98448cd2c17d *recovery-TWRP-3.3.1-1104-REDMI_NOTE8PRO-CN-wzsx150.img
$ sha256sum recovery-TWRP-3.3.1-1104-REDMI_NOTE8PRO-CN-wzsx150.img
8f203aec69f1ed021badac0f94d1906fcf0530f0e41beddcbc49652705c8731b *recovery-TWRP-3.3.1-1104-REDMI_NOTE8PRO-CN-wzsx150.img
This way whatever source you are getting the file from you'll be able to check it against my sums which will guarantee you got the same version I did use. However I cannot guarantee they are 'legit'.
Before you proceed any further, I want to stress you never told me the flavor of the phone you own. Mine is Global EU phone flavor running an original stock MIUI.11.0.2.0_A9_PGGEUXM. If own a Chinese flavor (ordered on Alibaba, Aliexpress etc etc) you need to be extra cautious for example as they tend to brick more from what I read.
I also remind you need an unlocked bootloader and I strongly recommend you to apply the Anti-Brick solution as described in my previous post. If you restored to stock image using MiFlash or SP Flash Tools it is very likely you need to reapply those even if you did it before. Best to apply them twice than none.
Hope this helps.

The Megathread is pretty much self explanatory for the Anti-Brick method, I cannot explain it any better than how it is explain there. Please refer to the link given in one of my previous posts and just apply the first part with flashing preloader.bin and lk.img as explained.
It will basically provide you with a safety belt in case you do anything wrong with your phone on A9 resulting in bricking the device, bootloop or whatever, so you can Flash stock back on using MiFlash / SP Flash Tool without having to need an authorized account.

This file might not be there, it is a file you have to delete to prevent OS to restore Mi Recovery 3 over your TWRP at reboot (making impossible to have TWRP stick on the phone).
In order to see that file you first need to mount 'system' in the options but as I said it is not always there.

As I said earlier, I have no experience in A10 (Q) problems as I am not willing to jump in there staying on A9 (P).
A10 benefits is not worth the risks to me. The Anti-brick method is well explained in the Megathread I posted the link few posts earlier, however, it's for A9 only not A10.
Looking at the lists of bugs still present on A10, I really see no point running A10 atm. But well anyone does what pleases him/her he he
Good Luck!

I see.
No actually it was the other way around. When I first rooted in Feb it was passing both tests (green true).
Then one day after google made its changes it stopped working. But I only retro-graming so it is not so important for me.
Have you tried MagiskHide for the games you want to play with?
I cannot really help you with this further because I never tried to fix these myself not really needing to.
Anyway if you search Redmi Note 8 Pro forums you will see some other people are having the issue, at first I thought it was a A10 problem but probably is with the device.
Also you may found help in the telegram group REDMI NOTE 8 PRO OFFICIAL many gamers there I think.
Good luck and please let us know of your findings.

Question Unable To Update ROM, Stuck On V12.0.11.0.RJTCNXM ("Global")

Background Info -
I purchased my 16GB x 512GB Mi MIX Fold from a reputable supplier on Alibaba. It was claimed that he was capable of making it have a "Global" ROM (a 5 - 7 day process is how long it took him). All Google services and apps were preloaded, just like my first Xiaomi Global phone I purchased 1.5 years ago. As well as only some of the Xiaomi Global apps. Now that I have the phone, I am running into a fair bit of issues (in this post I am only focusing on one). I did bring these all up to the supplier (of course including updating the ROM issues), all without much help. All he gave me was he said the ROM on my phone is actually the EEA version that was modified, and of I need any updates, go on www.xiaomi.eu. So not much help, because come to find out, they don't support the Mi MIX Fold and that there is no ROMs available. Including the current ROM my phone has right now - V12.0.11.0.RJTCNXM ("Global").
What is nice about my phone is that all the system apps are the Global versions. But what's not so great is the System Apps Updater does not work at all. It shows there are update(s) available for my Global apps, but when I update them, they are indefinitely suck at "Connecting 0%". I also tried Xiaomi's "Get Apps" while switching my Region to "India", it too showed updates, and would not update them no matter what I tried. So, I search online for each individual system app, and update each manually (yes, the whole process is a pain).
So Where I Need Some Help (The Purpose Of This Post...Updating the ROM) -
So, I am in the process of trying to update my phone's ROM, to get the best MIUI has to offer for the Mi MIX Fold. I have searched all over the internet and the only ROMs I can find are "China" versions.
My current ROM version is V12.0.11.0.RJTCNXM ("Global"). I know the most up to date ROM is V12.0.21.0.RJTCNXM (but it's the "China" version). I would like to have the current ROM, but I have a strong feeling that I will loose all functionality of all my Global system apps. The Xiaomi Updater app unfortunately does not work at all. When checking for an update, it says "No updates available". When tapping "Download latest package", it says "Can't download update...Wait a minute or two and try again". When I tap "What's new", it says "You don't have permission to access the update log...". Please see screenshots for all of this. I even tried to update it another traditional Xiaomi way by using Mi PC Suite, which it couldn't even detect my phone when connected. So that doesn't work either.
So my attempts are as follows (at least 20 attempts). I downloaded every Stable Recovery ROM version as listed in the XDA Mi MIX forum titles "MIUI Updates Tracker (Mi MIX Fold)" I also downloaded every ROM version from a couple other sources. I tried to update the ROM (from the newest version to the oldest) using the Xiaomi Updater app through Recovery Mode. Every time it failed saying "Current version is invalid. You can only flash the latest stable ROM", or "Can't verify update...Can't install official ROM". So then I downloaded the ROMs directly from mirror links to Xiaomi's server. I did the same update procedure, they all failed. Does that mean I have to do it via Fastboot?
Last Thoughts -
I included some screenshots showing what the ROM is on my phone (and the outdated Android security update), and what message comes up with each update attempt.
Could you guys point me in the right direction and help me figure out how I can update my Mi MIX Fold to the most current ROM, preferably the EEA version (if possible), since there really is no such thing as a Global version? I would be extremely appreciative if someone can shed some light!
Hi my suggestions is to backup your data firstly from there download the latest fastboot stable of the rom. From there before anything make sure oem unlocked is there inside your phone if not you need to wait 167 hours to fastboot flash the rom. Guides of unlocking is online you can search for that. After that, download the miflash.exe file, that can also be found online and from there flash it with it to the latest Rom . Hope that helps. If you are still unsure , you can always search online of "Flashing with fastboot xiaomi Rom"

Thank you very much for your response!
OK, so it looks like I will have no choice but to get rid of the custom "Global" ROM for the China version. I do wonder though if I am going to lose out on anything as far as the Global system apps (but won't update, unless manually), or all the Google apps & services, or anything else. There of course are many benefits switching to the China ROM.
I'm just a little reluctant because of it being a China ROM being used on a phone in the US. And having features that only work in China and is not optimized for the Global market. As well as features usually found on a Global Xiaomi phone, would be missing or can't work at all. Maybe I am overthinking it all. Another concern is if the China ROM would have English as a language that can be choses. I assume so, but it would be a plus to know 100% before I make the plunge.
Only if I could play around with a Mi MIX Fold with a fresh install of the China ROM. See how different it really is compared to what I currently have. See what it comes with (apps & all) & what is or isn't compatible. My previous, & only Xiaomi phone, was the Global version of the Mi Note 10 Pro. So I have, I guess you can call it, a Xiaomi Global mindset. My Mi MIX Fold is my daily driver, I can't play too much around. Also if I do flash it with China ROM, I can't revert it back to the ROM it has now, since it seems to be custom. Unless I can somehow backup absolute everything, ROM and all.
I know this is a simple question, but what and how is the very best method to back everything up? To not only make sure no data is lost, but also to make the whole process faster when restoring everything.
Do you have any other suggestions or advice? I would appreciate it!
The custom global rom is not official and you will never get update.
I recommend you to mi flash the chines rom, but you will lose everything.
Google will be available the chines ROM.

Believe me, you won't want to. The update has been pulled. It still has so many bugs. Biggest problem for me, I was curious that it, and updated, A12 currently has no local update option. Means roll back is not possible, only with the MSM tool. Then it starts all over with rooting again.

Which bugs are you facing?
Yup, and i've been using it for a month now.
I updated to A12 in Dec when the first OTA was pushed. I had too many issues even after the first 2 patches, downgraded back to OOS11 and never been happier.
I'm waiting for 10pro to launch so I can update to OOS12 then

I played around so much, that I don´t remember everything now. Some apps didn´t work. I think, but I´m not sure, I had problems with Viper4Android. Or it was Youtube vanced. Sorry, I really forgot.
Certain setting options had been missing for me or were no longer where you would have expected them to be. I also missed the local upgrade, but that problem has been solved in the meantime (I was not well informed). I was also not happy with the UI, but that is not a bug but a matter of taste.
In sum, not so dramatic, but my evaluation has coincided with those of other forum members. Does not mean that I am right. I'm happy to be corrected.
How is the general satisfaction with A12 here?
A few months back when they started pushing Android 12 I was eager to try it and so I used "Oxygen Updater" from the play store to download a full stable version of android 12 but i accidentally downloaded the Indian version. I had so many bugs on it, but then I used the same app (oxygen updater) to switch to the EU version and my phone worked perfectly with no bugs or anything. I have now switched to Pixel Experience rom and wifi is not working so I may go back to Oxygen 12. But yeah if you have bugs on Oxygen 12 then use Oxygen Updater and download a new version to flash and your bugs may vanish.
Enjoy
I was curious about A12 and gave it a second try after cleaning up everything.
Does Viper4Android work? Just trying with a fix but not sure if it will work.
The next thing is that file manger doesn´t appear in Magisk, when u want to install a module from internal storage.
At least Youtube Vanced is working now.
BTW, post above is ColorOS 12

Another question: how to us the "OnePlus 9/9Pro Rollback APK". It´s a zip file. Unpacking shows now apk file. Flashing through kernel manager of course not possible. Sorry, don´t find a way to install.
Second try of A12 was not satisfying. When I use the MSM Tool I´ve to re-root again....
Edit: renamed the file to apk at the end. Did it once without success, don´t know why. Now it works
Hope you figured it out. If you haven't.
- download appropriate downgrade package and move it to the root folder of your phone.
- download and install https://oxygenos.oneplus.net/OPLocalUpdate_For_Android12.apk
on your devices... this allows you to access local upgrade... if your phone doesn't install a shortcut you can keep reinstalling it every time you need it
- open OPLocalUpdate_For_Android_12.apk click gear in top left corner and install the downgrade package you put in the root directory
You can also use the local update to install other OxygenOS12/ColorOS12 packages. I just went from C.36(Global) -> C.38(EU) -> C.46(ColorOS12) then rolled back because MMS is broken at C.44 all variants of both OSs and above... at least for me.

Thanks, my problem was that I didn´t know that I have to rename the files. Many thanks!
Personally, I'm pretty satisfied with the C44 update for OxygenOS 12, stable and smooth, as intended. But yes, the first updates were messy.
For having given a try to ColorOS 12 too, OxygenOS 12 gave me a better experience on the OnePlus 9 Pro: less throttling in games and less bloated.
If we get a ColorsOS C44 EU (which should be far more debloated than its Chinese counterpart) that isn't making games throttle, then I'll surely jump into the wagon, but for now, OxygenOS 12 remains the better option if you want an Android 12 official experience for your phone.
