Hello everyone, long time reader first time poster. I have the Nubia RedMagic 8 Pro, and I love it so far. Question: is there a way to make the status Bar icons bigger?
For such a big phone they seem awfully tiny and I was just wondering. I know on other phones you can make the display bigger and thus making the status Bar icons (the notification icons & the icons on the right) bigger but I didn't see this option.

I've been trying to do similar via the opposite way (Make the status bar smaller....)
Seems like a total waste of space to have such a huge status bar (as if we have a camera cutout) with such standard sized icons and No camera cutout
I've tried
- Substratum
- Substratum Lite
- AOSP Mods (xposed module)
- Gravity Box (xposed module)
All didnt work...
Really dont want to have to mess around with framework-res and systemui for this....

I have had many smart phones. This one by far has the largest screen and the smallest status bar. I have a battery app that displays actual % in an icon on the status bar. I can barely read it and have to focus hard. The status bar size seems overly small when coupled with such a huge screen. Is there any way or app that allows increasing the bar size and icons in it?

I'm having the same problem. Doesn't bother me much, though.
I would assume that changing the DPI (if you have a rooted phone) would do the trick. If not, perhaps increasing the font size would help, but I'm not sure about that...

I had this same issue for a while. For me I found a way around it, maybe it will work for you. I ended up making the nav bar an image and the different colored icons part of the nav bar image. Then I made the actual icons transparent. As long as the icon order is the same as the order of the icons in the nav bar image, you would be good to go. You can see some examples here http://www.galaxynexusmods.com/nav-status-bars
Hope that helped. Let me know if you have any questions

for me i just had to reset my nav bar so that i had un selected a color
I am trying to make it so my Status Bar is just a constant flat black (in apps AND on home screen). I can not stand how it changes colours now based on what the colour of the screen is (I have red icons and clock colours, so this becomes very ugly and hard to read).
Do we have any kind of Play Store apps or Framework Modules that can take care of this issue? Any help would be greatly appreciate as this is driving me nuts and is starting to make me actually hate the phone.
Try tinted status bar xposed module. Don't know if it works on Lollipop though.
Hi all! The thing is im using hide navbar function from serajr XX module, and when i hide navbar all apps adopts very nice to new display dimensions, except for small apps bar, it keeps black rectangular bar under smallapps bar its a background from softkeys.. Look at the pictures
1 picture is with navbR enabled
2 picture is with navbar hidden u can see the black bar left after softkeys hidding ..
3 picture is with smallapps bar hidden and u can see that black bar is dissapeared..
So question is does it possible to change possition (drop down to the bottom of the screen) of a smallapps bar? I know here is an app called "app settings" witch can change size of an app size on the screen but it doesnt work on LP..
Don't know much technically, but as far as hacks go, you could mess around with apktool and udn module, (I posted an example here - http://forum.xda-developers.com/sony-xperia-z1-compact/help/hide-softkeys-t3298241 or try messing with screen resolution, (dpi). Probably Venkat Kamesh would know how to do what you're asking, (the right way), but might be pretty advanced. I don't know how far you want to go ...
Some status bar notifications hide behind the notch in the middle part of the bar. What's the solution to get notifications on sides of notch, without hiding the notch option altogether. Or is there a way or an app to make the status bar font smaller? Thanks
Bump
You can only change size of the display buy I think that is not gonna help..
I turn off data speed just to get more space for icons..but this is much better than on Redmi note 7..on this phone notification gone after couple seconds..
But on 8 pro stays and that's a big change for me
