Updated this morning and all good until this evening and whenever I unfold the phone the screen goes blank and takes a few minutes until the one UI restarts itself. Phone runs hot too. Run in safe mode and still getting the same issue.
Anybody else had a similar issue?

I now have cleared my cache and run repair apps and still having the same issues.
Some more detail:
The front screen is fine and I have no issues at all (that I've come across). As soon as I open the big screen the screen goes black (sometimes i can use the main screen for a few seconds until it goes dark), I feel a few vibrations and the phone becomes unresponsive (including the front screen). The phone also disconnects from my watch.
After about 20 seconds or so the phone comes back to life. I'm guessing factory reset is the next option.....

Update:
I was convinced it was the home UI app so I searched for it in the app list and cleared the cache and BINGO!! I don't want to speak too soon but so far so good, problem solved.
Should have done this in the first place but at least now it's online for someone else to follow (if they're as dumb as me that this...).
Thanks [email protected] for responding!

Sent an error log to samsung but that'll probably fall into a void

Anyone else get the update??
Sent from my SAMSUNG-SM-G891A using XDA-Developers mobile app
It's installing now. Any idea what is new/updated in this?
got the update biggest change was wifi calling not sure what else
Just got mine used and updated it today. Saw the wifi calling but didn't read the rest, I did notice mine was on the May security update and now it's on the July update so could be that.
They also removed all traces of the Oculus software that was originally on our devices. So no chance of getting VR support for these devices in the future then
wifi calling now available (eg wifi-only calling, BUT no wifi-only messaging so thats kinda stupid...)
activity zone 'compass mode' with 'map mode' (which never worked, only said 'google services is updating' removed
advanced messaging (separate balloon per text/attachment, and 'xxx is typing' is new)
Great news! The recent update 8/11/2016 fixed the dpi error we were getting. I was able to successfully change my dpi using the display scaling app. View attachment 3839483

I checked on the official site (which just recently added the phone on the site, as I've been checking often), and they don't have any info on updates or anything posted yet.
So far I noticed: WiFi Calling and Messaging, Message Scheduling (Don't think I noticed this before), Security Update, Removal of Oculus (the setup for the full Oculus Software), Advanced Messaging for AT&T customers, and Text Counter.
If we see anything else, I'll add to this, or we can hope for release notes/ change log
Anyway i can update this without att sim? Im using cricket
Should be able to
I have the s7 active and the battery life is OK not great but ok and the update installed WiFi calling and text messaging works on WiFi
The only times I've ever had good battery life on any Android device were and continue to be from custom roms and kernels. No stock rom including stock nexus roms give me good battery life. That being said, my used S7A is actually not too bad for everything stock without root and it had better with such a big battery.

That is likely due to compression in the SMS client you're using. I don't know what AT&T's limitations are on file size for MMS, but I do know third-party SMS apps allow for tweaking of that. I use Textra currently, and can set a max upload/send size in the options. I know other SMS apps have similar functionality, but I doubt the stock one does.
Another update today, looks to be only security fixes for Aug. I'm actually surprised they released it IN Aug and not months down the line. Lol

Hello,
I live in Korea and not an AT&T carrier user. So, I have never received AT&T's OTA.
I tried to connect my Galaxy S7 Active to Samsung Smart Switch, but Samsung Smart Switch says my phone's firmware is the newest version.
My phone's baseband version is G891AUCU1APE7, and build number is MMB29M.G891AUCU1APE7.
Am I unable to update my phone forever?
I want to update my phone's firmware.
I desperately need your help...

See mate, changing the firmware by Odin doesn't technically stop your updates.
But the device has region specific utilities such as network bands, signal reception, etc.
So changing it might cause a trouble but you can always revert back to your original firmware if you take a backup before proceeding.
But if I was you, I wouldn't hurry, it's not like out of the world feature. I would rather wait a month or so, atleast till I get Android 10.
As an android update generally gets all the features, irrespective of the previous regional utilities.
Always backup before proceeding, anyways.
Hope that guides you, cheers !

The December feature update seems to be out in Russia (SER), so probably other devices in Europe will follow.
It's actually already January one, Samsung new years surprise.
Edit: Smart capture is here, no screen recorder. They finally fixed black text with Night mode when editing a VPN connection. Sms app has quick icons now next to text field, also adds Quick responses (configurable in Settings). Weather app has a Map and Videos inside. Didn't find anything else.

Same as always. Install update, DO NOT REBOOT, in Magisk choose to install to inactive slot, reboot.
If you have magisk modules enabled you might want to disable or uninstall those before installing the update as some modules can cause the device to boot loop after an update.
Thanks, works great

Just a note to people like me waiting for AA global - I was told by OnePlus that it should come out in the next few days.
Was also told it comes later because the India and European updates are regional, and AA is global, so there is more work needed to prepare it for all the rest
Can someone Co firm that this update do not removes nor modify the color camera?
Is there any camera improvement that is worth the upgrade?

Isn't the korea release for wifi 12.1? New base band on it the previous was cvg7 from memory not sure on the new base band it was dif tho. I'd still prob stick with ancient os gsi for now. I like it atm.
Just got 4.1.1. I use TotalLauncher so I won't see too much impact of the OneUI update. But..the notification bar I see. It's now scrunched up on either the right or the left side of the page. I suppose thats for being within range of a thumb. But geez this isn't a phone! Not very comfortable.
I don't like the way the latest update handles the navigation bar either, they took away the option to center the icons position.

Yes I also prefer the simple navigation bar & I use it too,
but It couldn't be otherwise since the "new" recent apps feature was added after the last update ui 4.1,there would be no room for such a thing
Anyway,If you disable the taskbar you will have the old bar with centered keys but you will lose the quick apps added in the last update , if you don't mind this ...
We're seeing a wide rollout of A13/One UI 5.0 for Tab S7 series.
Kudos to Samsung. 21 Device series have received it so far. Impressive.
__ And One Ui 5.0 is here ! A13 first build for Tab S7 it's a fact (T870 EUX for me) ..
Welcome Samsung .... Τhe truth is that it surprised me __
I am very pleased with Samsung's support for this device, and surprised because for years on various tablet devices I had bad impressions ...
From the beginning (A10) until now (A13) it has received a total of 24 updates "EUX"!(generally small or "large" updates)
For a first build on Android 13 it is generally very stable and with very good features ..
Very good and useful feature is the "Intelligent Wi-Fi" & "Wi-Fi developer options" . It gives the user very useful information about the Wi-Fi & network connection , Router, etc ..
I hope he continues on this and fixes some things in future updates. And of course, I hope Samsung continues the good work it's doing until now on this device ...
One UI 5.1 has been released!
Hello,
this morning I got a message about a new system update 62.1.A.0.587, 313.5MB.
By searching the web I found no info related to this update, which is somehow strange.
I guess it could contain fixes for the various bugs that were reported on Android 12.
However, I think I will wait a while before update my device, just to be sure...
Any news?
I updated to this new build just a few hours ago, so far no issues. I had some issues on the previous build where taking pictures through WhatsApp didn't always work, seems to be fixed now. Let me know if you want me to test something.

Here's the details, they updated the security update version to april. Google play update you could already do on previous build independently.
I've just updated to this new version and to me it looks like the display issue (green tint, crushing of black levels) is finally gone. I hope I'm not getting crazy. I'll take a closer look after work.
Anyone using Android 12 found that Wifi auto-connect is not working? I mean even if Wifi is turned off. If you enter the range for a previously connected Wifi, the phone should automatically turn on Wifi and connect to it.
It used to work in Android 11 but doesn't work anymore since upgrading to Android 12.
mmm ... maybe I'm wrong,
but for me that option allows to auto-connect to a saved WiFi network only when the WiFi is ON.
How the device could be aware if you are in range of a WiFi spot if the WiFi itself is OFF?

Hello,
this morning I got a message about a new system update 62.1.A.0.587, 313.5MB.
By searching the web I found no info related to this update, which is somehow strange.
I guess it could contain fixes for the various bugs that were reported on Android 12.
However, I think I will wait a while before update my device, just to be sure...
Any news?

I'm still using Android 11 as I decided to wait at least one update before upgrade to Android 12. But as this update didn't change the material layout, now I'm planning to wait some more...

It's a new feature introduced in Android 11. I don't know the exact technical details but it seems to utilize the location of the phone to detect if you're near a previously connected Wifi spot.
And according to the link below, this feature was broken after Android 12 Jan update and was fixed in Mar update.
Google Pixel 6 Wi-Fi auto-connect issue persists after January update
Some Google Pixel 6 and Pixel 6 Pro owners say that their phone does not auto-connect to their Wi-Fi even though the setting is enabled.

https://www.androidpolice.com/2020/...matically-connect-to-specific-wi-fi-networks/ - "Android 11 has a new toggle in the settings panel for Wi-Fi networks called 'Auto-connect,' and when it is switched off, your device won't automatically connect to the given network as soon as it is discovered."
I think it's related to location, so location must be enabled. But this is just guess, as I don't use this option and wifi is always on.
I updated yesterday, everything seems fine for now, with no evident changes with respect to the previous one.
I appreciated the fact that Sony released two updates so closer in time.
I updated yesterday as well. After 24 hours I noticed that the battery drain caused by the previous update is much better now. No other notable changes other than that

After the last update that I wasn't happy with (pull-down menu became huge icons and having to click multiple times to turn on wifi, mobile internet etc...) I'll wait...
there are no changes in the UI
