Hi there. I have some serious troubles with the usb data line of my Mi5s:
I used for a while a weak usb cable, then I replaced it and also replaced the entire USB-C port (with flat cable, mic and other stuff). But since then the phone won't be recognized from PC and OTG don't work anymore. I bought three other USB-C parts from different vendors, without results.
Now I'm connecting via USB directly to the motherboard (USB_DP as D+ and USB_DM as D-) taking Vcc and GND from the type C port. But, as always, it only recharges without any data connection.
The phone has only TWRP, no OS and empty internal memory.
OBV nothing to do in fastboot also.
There's something else I can try?

Hello,
My micro USB is broken and I had someone help me to change with the new one. When broken, the device is not reacting at all when I plugged in to my notebook or charging. I knew my micro usb connector is broken when my LED indicator is not glowing. After the micro USB is changed, My device can charging again but it's not detected in my notebook. I already try to reinstall the driver but when I see in my device manager, my phone is not detected and I'm sure there is some problem. How can I fix this? I change my micro USB not in HTC service center. Can this problem fixed?
I'm assuming one of your connections isn't making contact.
The micro-usb port has 5 pins:
#1 and #5 are used for charging
#2, #3 and #5 are used for usb data
#4 and #5 are used for cable insert detection.

Hello everyone,
I would like to know if the Moto 360 supports charging via the USB pinouts on the motherboard? In specific I would like to get feedback from those of you that have the cat5 cable connected to the watch. I would like to know if the phone charges while it's connected through the MB to the pc.
Thanks,
SpeedV
Edit:
I want to solder

With this thin wire
To the leads on the motherboard of the watch
And wrap it in this
But I need to know if charging works thought these pinouts
Sorry about the size of the images.
It is imperative that i get an answer soon since I will be doing the soldering soon
Anyone?
I'm not 100% positive, but it should charge it. It's been a while since I hooked it up via the pins, but I do know that the charging bolt symbol shows up when hooked up, so I'm fairly sure it does charge. Good luck!
Hi,
While I dissasmbled my nexus 5x, I accidently ripped the two components of the volume- button. (You could see it in the upper side of the photo below - the first two components right to the barcode)
I belive it some kind of resistores or capacitors.
Can anybody tell me what are they and what their values?

Also,
After connecting homemade portable charger, my usb port doing problems. First it won't charge by connecting and cable that isn't the original charger, after factory reset it works without any problems.
I can now now charge it OK and also transfer files to the computer, BUT USB audio do not works constantly (5 seconds on 5 seconds off) and the same is the OTG. It seems the connections are fine (Ill re-solder them later). Anyone heard about a similar problem? What could be the cause?
Thank you!
Hello Bro. I have the similar problem: My phone got wet and when I was drying it with the heat gun, the components of volume + and - were deployed. I dont know if this can fix.
Hi everyone,
I got magnetic Type C Cable but it doesn't charging.
There is a blue led on it also (works fine) but no charging / detect in pc etc.
There are 5 pins from the cable to the usb-c connector and middle one can be moved easily back into the connector.
Is that normal or there is a problem?

Coil spring missing inside I'd say --> exchange.
Mine works but all contacts are spring loaded.
Thanks for reply, anyway I got it for free and don't need a new one. Just good to know that's the problem.
From what I Read some allow Data transfer and some do not. some are meant only for charging.
I read same information earlier but my cable doesn't work at all - no charging by charger or detect in pc.
Problem is probably "broken" pin in the middle.
I just find out that is possible to connect mouse, but then you have to sacrify usb charger slot. Is there any usb connector exist around in market that does have exactly the same slot like original usb conector, to -> mouse slot, but plus aditional slot for charger?

Like this but with double slot and without wires
Update
So basically I found the solution, just buy bluetooth mouse and keyboard so that slot goes for charger
I use this, works perfect also quick charge
In aliexpress -> Ugreen HUB USB C HUB USB 3 0
For a completely different experience, also get a DEX CABLE and turn any big HD screen into an Android operating system
