Hi @ all,
So i have been using my Note 2014 for around 3 weeks now.
Despite the lags on the device while browsing or searching in the playstore , i noticed or lets say - i get frustrated that webpages dont load. I have to refresh them several times to finally show up. The same with theplay store and any other app that requires a internet connection.
So what i want to know is, if you guys have experienced the same or if everything works good for you ?
Thanks so far...
Bottom line is that if there would be another tablet (windows or android ) with a good pen like the note has, i would have switched devices immediately i guess. For college the spen is superior than any other pen i had a look at so far. Despite that it is still a good device..
I haven't had any Wi-Fi or BT issues. I compared download speeds between my N3 and N10.1-14 using a 1GB test file and the N10.1-14 was significantly faster using the same router. There are a couple of wireless "issues" threads that point to some N10.1-14s having possible h/w issues. If you're having connection issues across multiple different routers and networks you may have a h/w problem.

I have a similar issue. While websites seem to load normally in the browser, I frequently get connection errors or time outs. For example in the Play Store it has happened several times that, after clicking on an app, the page for that app can't be loaded and al I see is a 'reload' button in the middle of the page. Clicking that loads the page quickly and I never actually disconnect from my wifi. I have also had to re initiate several app downloads as the initial download created an error. This happened mostly (if not exclusively) when I send the app through chrome on my laptop. At least one other app also has some connection issues sometimes after it gets a push notification that triggers the app to update.
I feel like the issue is when the tablet tries to send data right after or while it's receiving data.

Thats really weird. If i dont find a solution for this i will trade it in. Im currently keeping it only for the great spen feature. There is currently way too less competition for tablets with a good working active stylus (only wacom technology atm)
Similar issue here, but maybe not to the same extent as yours.
For me the most prevalent apps that have this issue is the play store and youtube. I will frequently get connection error/server error on those apps. The funny thing is I can open browser in a pen window and load any site just fine while this happens, it's the apps that refuse to load pages. So I believe my internet is fine, it's an issue with the apps. I'm gonna try factory resetting later.
Here's the Wi-Fi performance of my N10.1-14 (on the right) and N3 compared. They are connected to the same network, were tested in the same location, and tested within minutes of each other. On average, the N10.1-14 actually outperforms the N3 in signal strength. If you notice in the elapsed time chart there aren't any major dips in the connection speed which there would be if there were a signal or h/w problem.

Mind giving me the name of the app or how you ran the test ?
I just downloaded a normal download speed app. The result was really odd. While my nexus showed a speed of around 3 mbs (wtf?!!) , my note showed a speed of around 25mbs. But if i open websites or browse youtube or whatever , my nexus is always way faster...

Thanks. I dont understand it :
I ran the app.
Nexus 4 : 12mbps
Note 2014 : 121 mbps
They both use the same wifi. But still the whole internet perfomance is way slower than on the nexus .
Thanks for your answers. When the storm is gone i will go to the store and trade it in...

I am one of the guys here which didn't have any lags (And I am known to fast devices). Also with the stock browser and play store I have no issues. Everything is fast... so it must be something else which interfere here.
PS. I made a test together with my HTC one and when the Note was faster by loading pages.
I am getting really bad wifi connections and the phone is very slow at browsing refusing to load pages fully. Running Speedtest by Okla says "network communication issues". I get this problem on wifi in public areas and at home. It does not seem consistent. I got so fed up I factory reset the phone. I connected to another wifi router at home and so far everything seems fine. All other devices work fine with public wifi and wifi router at home including Samsung J5 and S4. Any ideas?

I have sometimes wifi is reconnecting, but most of the time I have a good connection.
I'm having weak wifi reception with the A5. When placed side by side with S4 and S7, the A5 has the weakest wifi signals. Speedtest confirms this as well.
Yeah, definitley weaker reception, i compared to my Htc 820 and Sony m2 aqua and it was pretty weaker all of them are on stock roms.
Well, me too. Weak reception when just a littel away from the router. Randomly loses signal force, can't see any router, then, connect again... It seems to get worse when heavy using internet, like watching YouTube videos... But near the router, everything stays normal... My moto g 2014 never had the problem and I'm in stock rom too...
It strangely seems to be YouTube app who causes problems, because when I stop watching videos the signal force get actually more stable, even full in places it doesn't get full when watching YouTube...
But it still seems to suffer from some instability at its natural... When I tap play in youtube, the signal drops to almost zero...
I would like to know what is happening, because it isn't a cheap phone, and even moto g 2014 has got a better wifi
It also seems that demanding wifi in general causes signal to get weaker... I never saw something like that, signal strength doesn't get affected by use, only bandwidth...
Any other experience?
Similar issue with my A5
I recently bought an A5 2017 aswell and my phone also has HORRENDOUS wifi , not just that but for some reason it would randomly stop reconnecting and stop showing the wifi router or anything and the wifi connectivity doesnt turn on , and then if restart it but it would hang mid restart and then id have to hard reset it by holding the power and volume-down button , and this whole procedure happens like once or twice a day so ita really frustrating. Especially because this is a New phone btw, my wifi is perfe fly fine because i ha ve other technology and have previously used many huawei phones which have perfect connectivity and this was my first experience with Samsung, any help would be much appreciated thankyou !!
I am having the same issue as the person above. Pages will refuse to load until i turn off wifi or refresh the page. There are duplicate posts coming up on facebook. Like 4 or 5 posts repeated before new ones. Twitch constantly buffering. Tried on mine and parents wifi with same result. Both were always and still are fine on my note 4. I have 2 weeks to return it to o2 if its faulty or is it just a phone with bad wifi in general?
Edit: i think the facebook thing might be a facebook issue as its happening on my note 4 too but everything else is specific to my a5.
After taking the update my phone rebooted and a screen came up saying my OS was corrupted. I hit "try again" and the phone rebooted. The update broke my wifi connection... First it dropped out every 10 seconds. After I reset my router it got better but still drops out a few times an hour. I am unable to fix it. Wish I could go back to android 9 without resetting the phone.

Sounds like you might need to try a factory reset. No "OS was corrupted" message here and my WiFi has been fine.

Well resetting my pixel 2xl means days of work so that is my last option. I had no problems with 9.
Here is one of my 9 screens. Every time I upload or download anything, including this room, my wifi drops in and out.
After playing with this all day I've determined that the wifi sensor itself has weakened. Some people are reporting the sensors in the phone do not work after the update.
All kinds of issues with the Pixel 2 XL with 10, blew it off and went back to 9.0 for now...restoring as we speak.

What kind of issues?? I've actually found A10 to run pretty good on my P2XL. Just curious is all
Sensor problems, touch screen issues, reinstalled 10 sofar so good with it.
@dendk
Excuse me, you wrote above that you were downgrading to Pie. Did you upgrade again to 10 after that and everything's fine now?
I have actually downgraded to 9 until wifi problems get solved with a fix or something. After updating to 10, wifi kept disconecting from time to time.

@EeZeEpEe
I already did a factory reset. In fact, the problems with wifi begins as soon as, after factory resetting, you try to configure your "new" phone trying to connect to wifi. It does connect but saying "connected with no internet access".
I took some screenshots and sent them to Google support and they offered me to replace the phone.
What I have done so far is to downgrade to Pie. The wifi problems have disappeared, so it is clearly a software problem. Many others have reported exactly the same in some forums.
I will wait until Google comes with a fix for this.

Nobody here with wifi problems after Android 10 update?
Here goes a possible (and temporary) solution, until Google solves this problem.
After many tests, I have come to a conclusion: Android 10 on Pixel 2 XL (at least on mine) has made the phone have a really poor coverage for the 5Ghz wifi band. When connected to that band, as soon as I get a little bit far from the router, I receive the "Connected with no internet" and after a while my phone disconnects and inmediately tries to connect again in an endless loop.
The good news is that I've been able to get a stable connection... but only on the 2,4Ghz. For this, I've had to make some changes both in the router and in the phone:
- In my router (O2/Telefonica in Spain, Mitrastar router) on the 5Ghz band configuration I had to remove the Guest/Virtual Access Point, which was pointing to the 2,4Ghz band. I suppose other routers will have a similar configuration.
- In my phone I made sure that I connected only to the 2,4Ghz band (you should see two wifi networks, one with PLUS or something like that and one without the PLUS: this is the one you have to select).
- Once connected, make sure you select "use device MAC" instead of "use arbitrary MAC" under connection configuration. The second is default on Android 10 and can make some routers go crazy because they think you are a hacker or something and so they block your connection.
After that, you should have an absolutely stable connection as you used to on Android 9 Pie, only that you are using the 2,4Ghz and not your fast 5Ghz connection. Obviosly this is a temporary solution until Google solves this. But at the moment I don't really need that extra speed on my phone, so I can live with that.
What is abolutely clear is that this an Android 10 bug and it only happens with certain Pixel phones like Pixel 2 XL. Mi wife's 3a XL has no problem at all after the update.
Hope this helps.
I have actually noticed the same exact issues going on with my Pixel 2 XL on Android 10. IHow do I change so that using my device's MAC address is the default option?
I have actually noticed this issues going on with my Pixel 2 XL on Android 10. In android 9 wifi connectivity was really really good. i have been using this phone since the launch without any issue but recently after updating to android 10 i have seen that the wifi connection is really really poor. Sometimes even disconnect automatically & sometime while connected to the wifi it shows no internet connection. I guess this is a software problem!!! I hope google fix this ..
Only on the 5Gz band. 2,4Ghz band remains stable. Just make sure you connect to that band.

You can try one more thing. On the 5Ghz configuration of your router, try to change the channel setting to a fixed channel instead of the predetermined Auto (I have set mine to 100(DFS)) and connect again from your Pixel. It will probably say "Connected, no internet" for a while, but just wait for a minute till it gets connected to the Internet and see if it stays stable
Just so you don't feel alone. I also started have wifi issues immediately after upgrading to Android 10
I've been having the same wifi problem that others have mentioned since the Android 10 update. However, it is also affecting my cellular and data signals, albeit to a lesser degree. Google tech support had me do diagnostics (rebooting in safe mode) and determined that I do indeed have a problem. However they want me to go through Verizon to try and get a replacement phone. They said if Verizon won't replace it, then they will. I really don't want to trade in my practically new phone on a refurbished model, so I'm going to live with this for a while longer and see if Google will release a new update to fix this bug.
I just got off the phone with Google Fi support about my Pixel 2XL and its' wifi issues are the same. I downloaded 10 like the first or second day it was available and began having issues with wifi immediately. Pictures on websites would not load and the pages load ten times slower. They recommended to send feedback and the steps I have taken to attempt a resolution but, I still have the same problem. I did a factory reset and still no fix for it. They first wanted to possibly send me a new replacement but, I was adamant that it was the software and not hardware since the wifi was perfect right before I updated to Android 10. Feedback will be sent so they can provide it in there November Security Update.(crossing fingers)
Totally concur with this thread, started as soon as I updated to A10B5. 5G connects, shows no bars, and "no internet connection". Using my old Nexus 6 at the same spot, 2 or 3 bars, internet connection right away. Just wondering if anyone that is unlocked has tried flashing the last 'Pie" radio file and results?
I too have connectivity issues on a pixel 2 XL even after a factory reset. I'm using a dual band AT&T Gateway or a Asus dual band router. I haven't tried turning off the same named 5 gigahertz band to see if it makes a difference, after reading here.
I havent had any issues with Wifi that i know of. But im having charging issues and sound issues
I'm having a similar issue with the normal Pixel 2 and using Google WiFi mesh system.
My pixel 2 refuses to connect to the 5Ghz network at my place whereas at my parents place (also using Google WiFi) it connects flawlessly to the 5Ghz one.
My pixel 3 XL is also connecting without any problems.
I used the app WiFi analyzer on my pixel 3XL and noticed that my Google WiFi is using the 5126 frequency.
If I use the same app on my pixel 2 it isn't even going that far.
At my parents place the frequency used is way lower.
Around 5000'ish
I'm having the same issues with WiFi. I finally disabled the 5 GHz signal from my router so I'm now only using the 2.4 GHz signal. This made my WiFi so much better at home. There is a lengthy thread about this issue in the Pixel Support forums, but it doesn't seem like anyone from Google has stopped by there to assist or gather info.

Hi, I need advice. Lately I've been noticing slow wifi on my Note. Or I don't know what to call it. Quite often it happens that I open the browser and load the page for too long. When I turn wifi off and on, it will work out for a while. This problem does not occur when connecting via data only. Does anyone know what this could be and how to solve it? I have 500Mbit optics and the router transmits both 2.4GHz and 5GHz. It's the same on both networks. When I measure the speed, it normally measures about 80Mbit / 300Mbit (2.4 / 5GHz).
I have also recently come across slow application updates from Gplay. It downloads normally and then, for example, a 5MB update is able to install for 2-3 minutes, which is enough for me.
I note that this is an exynos version
Sorry my english.
Disable all power management as it will cause erratic behavior.
Clear system cache.
Network reset.

OK. Co myslíte řízením spotřeby?
My LG Wing Wi-Fi and Bluetooth settings stopped working after few weeks running Android 12. I have reset my phone and after 3 weeks it's the same problem. I just updated for 5G support(V30d-Jan-10-2023) and still the same problem. Is there any solution?
Hello, where are you and what carrier do you have? I'm in the United States and have verizon. So far I've had no issue with Android 12 on my device. If you have Wi-Fi calling turned on you might try to disabling that. Just a guess but maybe that could help.

Backup what you need to keep, and factory reset it.If that doesn't work, use LGUP and downgrade the firmware.
So I noticed something strange. I went to another city for couple of days and my phone worked just like before. The Wi-Fi is working fine, the UI is not crashing, Settings is not crashing(Network and Battery was crashing previously) and no slowdowns whatsoever. But as soon as I am heading back to my home it starts slowing down again.
The GPS location with the most time logged on my phone(place where I use my phone the most) causes the phone to slowdown. Is Android 12 deliberately slowing it down? Did anybody face similar issues with Android 12 on LG or any other Android phone?
That is very weird. I have not noticed any slowdowns at my home versus anywhere else with Android 12. My Wi-Fi and Bluetooth also work perfectly. Before a factory reset you may try resetting the network settings.
Apple made their iPhones slower on purpose after year or so of use. Android might be trying to copy that feature in Android 12. It doesn't makes sense that my phone overheats, eats up battery and have super slow UI all of a sudden. Even after hard reset it's the same issue. I have noticed it working fine after I leave my home for sometime. Or maybe I am being paranoid.
Also I have been noticing a bug from Android on LG Wing for past 1 year. There is a small icon for location which appears on top of your phone when it is trying to locate you. But that icon appears randomly despite my GPS is turned off. Seems to me that Android is deliberately accessing your location no matter you turn GPS ON or OFF. But LG UI still shows GPS icon.
