Hi all,
first, I'm new here
I tried to search this forum for my problem (and other webstes, too) but so far I haven't found anything.
I recently installed RealVGA. After some issues, mainly problems with the screen keyboard which does not work with 96 dpi and has alot of problems under 128 dpi, I decided to uninstall it. After that, my screen was completely messed up - first of all, the welcome screen was white (ok I could live with that) but then my screen resolution was huuuuge and the device more or less unusable (see attached screenshots). I couldn't figure out how to fix this without creating even more problems....does anyone have an idea what I could do? I would prefer not to do a hard reset...
I have a Samsung i780 with Windows Mobile 6 Professional German. The RealVGA file I used is named RealVGA.ARM.cab
Anybody any ideas?? I figure it has something to do with the re-setting of the dpi...bo...
Thanks alot in advance!!
Best Regards,
Caroline

You can try reinstall RealVGA but I am afraid you should make a hard reset or flash a new working rom like EFN's 96 dpi PXIHH5 it works fine and you can install new shell like this from my unit:http://sghi780.extra.hu/m2d.htm
What's up guys,
As it has been assessed here but no one has been able to answer, I'm giving it another shot.
Obviously dumping the splash screen would be strictly for warranty purpose.
So I've had my diamond for more than 2 weeks now and I've been playing around with it. I've been able to reconstruct the OS ROM using the excellent tutorials found in this forum.
My question to you guys, which i haven't been able to get an answer, how can I actually backup my current splash screen.
I've read http://www.xs4all.nl/~itsme/projects/xda/about-doc.html but i have a feeling the Diamond has a different DOC.
Looking forward to hear you from guys and good job on everything!
EDIT: I've been waiting for this for the longest time, yet no one has an answer to this... I'm kind of out of options right now :\
Friendly Bump
Bump... anyone?
I am pretty sure someone released the rogers splash screen on the board (I think with a rom they dumped). If you flash to another rom, unless that rom has a splash screen in it, it won't change the one on your phone.
I don't know how or I haven't tried anyways to dump the splash screen, but pof released a command line interface for making splash screens. Perhaps he knows (you can PM him) how to dump the screen.
Hi was wondering if anyone can help me?
I have an HTC magic but the backlight is not working on it after i dropped it could you tell me if there is a tutorial showing me how to replace the screen?
Regards Mimicuk
There's a service manual floating around somewhere... It contains info about how to completely disassemble and reassemble the magic. Google is ur friend (or forum search of course )
Tried the links but they are all down
try asking that question on fixya.com
Hey guys.
I just bought Azgard Defence which is an awesome Tower Defense game but unfortunately it's not supporting WVGA resolution. Part of the screen just stays black. Is there a way to solve this issue? It would be really nice, if the whole screen was used.
Thanks,
zenabi
Nothing at all that I can do about this? Doesn't this bother anyone else using this game?

if there isn't a WVGA version of the game, then not much you can do. At best, you can dig into the settings files and see if you can locate the resolution parameters and change them to 480x800 though that will only stretch the screen.
Okay, I thought someone maybe had a fix for that. I think just stretching the screen wouldn't make the game look any better Thanks anyways.
You could try WVGAfix3. Not sure whether it works on WM6.5, it did on WM6.1.
I've found another thread with a direct link to the file for download.

Let me know if it works. Azguard defence is way too cool on PC, would be great if it works on ppc too.
wvgafix (i believe the new version now supports wm6.5) wouldnt solve the OPs problem as he/she wants to get rid of the black portion.
