I got a ZF3 Deluxe from Italy, is TIM branded, and stuck on MM 6.0, no updated released for this brand, so a friend of mine told me there is of course android 7 for ZF3Deluxe, so i wanted to manually upgrade system to 7.0 Nougat, i downloaded the Stock ROM from asus (2.15ghz cpu, i've checked of course) but when i try to flash it from the Stock Recovery i get this error (see the attachment) i also attach the software informations, (looking at the error i receive it may see the archive is corrupted, but i've tried to download it from Asus many and many times)
You have a carrier rom on your phone and the international version fails the upgrade check.
If you could get your bootloader unlocked that would be a way around it but you need to upgrade to a certain rom version to do that and the carrier hasn't supplied that rom...
You're essentially screwed until the carrier either releases the bootloader unlockable rom or upgrades the rom to nougat...

You should try to flash stock recovery of WW in fastboot.
And then flash 6.0 WW rom by WW recovery.
Even though ,I didn't sure that if it will work(because I don't have Z016S),but you can try it.

I forgot to say, after this procedure, just flash the stock WW recovery via Fastboot, then download from asus the lastest 7.0 firmware SKU WW, all perfect. tested by me.
Ok I already have system.new.img, I copied it to the root folder of the SD. Device restart in Fastboot mode (power + vol.up key). Exit screen with message Fastboot mode and does nothing.
Install in the computer the pyton 3.6, I suppose that it serves for the process of generating system.new.img.
I do not know how to do the first step "Install: ADB & Minimal Fastboot.".
Thank you and forgive my translator

Try this
or try flash ZenFone 3 Deluxe ZS570KL_WW stock recovery of 4.12.40.1698 and flash UL-Z016-WW-4.12.40.1698-user.zip in recovery (by micro sd or adb sideload)not sure if it work(need verification,I wish you to try first).
Please help me, my model is the Z016S
I can convert UL-Z016-WW-4.12.40.1698-user.zip img and flash with fastboot.
Reboot and it works, but I do not know how to get into recovery.
I have also installed the Z016-WW-4.11.40.1085_recovery.img. The TIM DISAPPEARED
Then I copied the UL-Z016-WW-5.14.44.1898-user.zip into the internal memory and it does not install well.
I have proven the same with UL-Z016-WW-5.14.44.1898-user.zip and it does not work me it stays in a non-comands and will not boot.
greetings and thanks
P.S. At least you do not see the TIM anywhere.

2.If fail, try flash these files in fastboot.(I will upload these files for you to flash, also you can draw by yourself)

Good!
Can you share what step did you do? Which might help another TIM user.
FIrst off many thanks to @vhercastillojr (as this thread is essentially his) and Chicken from the Vietnam telegram group for providing the RAW's/img's
********** DO THIS AT YOUR OWN RISK!!! I am not liable to any damage if you accidentally brick your device. This will void your warranty, if you had one. Also, using this method you won't be able to revert back to CN roms, lock your bootloader again and recieve OTAs, your device will be blacklisted by Asus ************
NOTE: To check your current fingerprint, download and install device info HW from the playstore. Under 'system' you'll find the current rom (CN or WW), the product id and fingerprint - they all need to match to be able to update your device later
NOTE 2: The main guide below skips early roms straight to last Android 9 for ROG II. For one user it didn't work and they had to use the previous, unedited guide which was based on 1910.35 RAW. If the below guide fails to update follow the additional guide at the end of this post.
----------
0) Download the ROG phone unlock tool and copy it on your phone and install it then run it. The phone will boot twice. DO NOT PRESS POWER TO STOP THE BOOT. It will wipe your data automatically. This will unlock your bootloader. EDIT: NEWER VERSION OF THE TOOL CAN BE FOUND here
NOTE: this will void your warranty, if you had one, with Asus, even if you re-lock your bootloader later... (Although, having bought mine as an import from China, I'm think the warranty only stands with the seller - in my case, 1 year, not Asus - but i may be wrong)
1) Download the WW International RAW rom from here
2) Extract the file on your PC. Boot the phone into fastboot mode (hold volume up then press and hold power button, Fastboot mode is the 1st screen you come across, the one with the options to Start, boot to recovery, etc...) connect to the side port and run "flashall_AFT.cmd" wait for it to finish and the phone will restart itself (it will take a number of minutes to complete, with the cmd window open all the time. If the cmd window only flashes up and closes down, then check the rest of the notes with this step).
NOTE: you need to remove or delete the original zip from the raw folder once extracted as it confuses the Flashall_AFT.cmd with the raw rom and zip having the same name. Also, it can help to extract to the root of C drive.
3) Download and install Minimal ADB and Fastboot app (windows). Install it on your PC to root of C drive
4) Download the rootww191064.img and place it in the Minimal ADB and Fastboot Folder (C:\Program Files (x86)\Minimal ADB and Fastboot) from here
5) Run Minimal ADB and Fastboot by double clicking ''cmd-here.exe''. Switch the phone into fastboot mode (hold volume up then press and hold power button) then type "fastboot flash boot rootww191064.img" without quotation marks
NOTE: you can also check your device is recognised in fastboot mode by the pc/laptop by running ''fastboot devices'' cmd which should show your device serial
6) Reboot the phone and connect it to PC, copy and install Magisk and Root Explorer
Magisk
root explorer
-run magisk, (update if necessary) and grant access to root explorer (after opening root explorer you should be prompted by magisk to gain root access, click 'allow')
7) Open the Root Explorer App on you phone. Then from the app, select Mount R/W to R/O. Search for "/vendor/factory" folder and Edit the file content COUNTRY from CN to WW (ALL Capital). Scroll to "/system/etc/AsusTheme/themes" then delete the hidden file to enable the hidden themes.
8) Restart the Phone. You are done. Check again with device info HW that your fingerprint has indeed been successfully changed.
From here, if you want to be on latest Android 10, download version 2004.60 from here (full zip), place it in root of internal storage and reboot. That'll bring you to A10.
NOTE: For those of you that are rooted: Download the full zip, move to root of internal storage and reboot. System will detect and prompt to update, click update. Wait until it finishes but DON'T click 'restart', instead, click 'restart later'. Go to Magisk manager. Click 'install' for Magisk. Click the last option 'install to inactive slot after OTA'. Click confirm force flash. Reboot when prompted. Done - root kept intact.
Repeat the process for latest (currently 2012.65) using the same link above. Your phone should hopefully skip the other versions and be straight to latest. If not, you'll have to go through 2007.27, 2009.49 and finally to current latest 2012.65. Repeat the process mentioned above for keeping root if so desired
----------
For anyone still running early roms that 1910.64 won't flash directly to, use the same guide above but with the following corrections:
2) Follow the exact same instructions but using this 1910.35 RAW
4) Download root and stock boot img's and extract them to Minimal ADB and Fastboot Folder (C:\Program Files (x86)\Minimal ADB and Fastboot)
5) Run Minimal ADB and Fastboot by double clicking ''cmd-here.exe''. Switch the phone into fastboot mode (hold volume up then press and hold power button) then type "fastboot flash boot rootww191035.img" without quotation marks
NOTE: you can also check your device is recognised in fastboot mode by the pc/laptop by running ''fastboot devices'' cmd which should show your device serial
After doing the ammended steps above for 1910.35, follow the rest of the guide to change fingerprint, then update to 1910.64 zip, place it in root of internal storage and reboot.

Download the stock recovery from this guide extract it and flash it while your phone is on fastboot.
Before you flash stock ROM, you need to have the rom zip file either in phone storage or the sd card. You can use adb push commands to transfer the rom file to phone storage folder. ROM OTA can be downloaded from the realme official website.
Once you have the file, just select install from phone storage / install from sd card and it will flash the stock rom.
This is how I recovered my phone when it was bricked.

Dear All,
This is guide for flashing custom roms, the reason for this tool to simplify the flashing procedure and make ease for beginners.
Steps to follow:
1. Extract Symbian Flasher.
2. Extract Custom Rom files using playload dumper and place it on Symbian Flasher folder
3. Now open flash all. bat (it will ask some questions and give appropriate answers) you can skip format data for dirty flash.
That's it.
All credit goes to mauronofrio
Notes: This may be initial setup for preparing device for custom rom flash. if you already have stock rom on any of slot than no need for this, just choose stock rom slot while custom rom flashing. You can follow this below procedure for flashing Stock Rom on both slots.
A) Flashing Stock Rom on slot A
1. reboot to fastboot
2. open cmd and type
fastboot --set-active=a
3. now you on slot A
4. now open fastboot firmware folder and click flash all.bat
5. it will flash Stock Rom on slot A and automatically reboot to system (no need complete full setup)
B) Flashing Stock Rom on slot B
1. reboot to fastboot
2. open cmd and type
fastboot --set-active=b
3. now you on slot B
4. now open fastboot firmware folder and click flash all.bat
5. it will flash Stock Rom on slot B and automatically reboot to system (no need complete full setup)

The best way to install custom ROMs is by following the instructions in the thread of the ROM you would like. Developers have instructions for a reason, and generally if you follow the installation instructions you will likely run into less issues.
Hello friends,
I have read in the threads about installation of oxygen OS on both slots to be safe to install custom ROM to avoid any error.
I want to know the step by step procedure to install the stock ROM on both slots.
Thanks.

Sorry Sir, but I did not understand. Please confirm if I am right to go ahead.
1) first one is that what is the zip file where I can download and unzip. Is it fastboot ROM provided by
@mauronofrio or any other.
My other concern is that is flashing the ROM on both slots applies on the stock ROM or it may be done on cutom ROM too. As far as know, while installing Lineage OS, the installation method only sugest to flash copy partion zip through sideload command and nothing else.
2) What is the actual command to switch to other slot?
Is it
"fastboot set_active other"
? which you have said in my reply.
3) Can I flash two ROMs in oneplus 7t say Lineage ROM on active slot(a or b) and other custom ROM on slot(b or a) to other slot? If yes then How to boot ROM on one slot while other keeping unaffected and the how to switch to other ROM without affecting the first ROM so that my device does not brick.
sorry for so many doubts. Please clear my doubts so that I have knowledge too for my device.
thanks and thanks.
1) yes, usually oos10.0.16 and then update it's to 11.0.4.1 (or use oxygen updater app from Play store to download and update to 11)
2) correct, or use custom recovery to change slot to fastboot install rom into other slot
3) possible but both roms must be able to share same data (few can, usually by same dev). TWRP (Lossyx) or debug (Matt0301) recovery can also switch slot and boot rom from A slot or B slot. Best use same rom into both slots to less chance of bricking.
Also don't relock bootloader if playing with custom roms, kernels, root as you'll have hard brick
Orangefox recovery works also (based on TWRP). Most new roms r on Telegram as many devs don't like xda due to ads and restrictions

1) I think the fastboot ROM given by @mauronofrio
should flash on both slots automatically. Am I correct?
2) Can I use Lineage recovery?
3) When I install a ROM whether it is oxyegn OS or custom ROM first time after formatting data, does the ROM automatically flash on both slots?
or I have to manually flash the ROM on both slots.
1) no, u must switch slot and do it again to other slot
2) to go into fastbootD u must use oos stock recovery. LOS recovery only allows adb sideload and not zip installation like Magisk. It can't backup rom either. It can't switch slots
3) unless you edit the flash-all.bat script to fastboot flash both slots, no rom installation will do it automatically to both slots. U must switch slot and do it again

Thanks for the reply.
But afaik @mauronofrio thread for fastboot ROM did not say to change the slot and also in Youtube videos also the video poster does not write any command of changing the slot.
I have read in the thread every comment, no one say about changing the slot.
So I got confused.
Not required but recommended to lessen risk of crashdump
