Upgrade to Android 13, S20 Ultra Stuck on Android 11 - Samsung Galaxy S20 / S20+ / S20 Ultra Questions &

Hi everyone, i recently buyed a T-Mobile (Unlocked) Galaxy S20 Ultra 5G, works perfectly fine, here in south america signal works good, no problem, but when i search for an update, Android 11 is the latest software update, can i download another firmware Android 13 (TMB T-MOBILE carrier), if i flash this firmware the phone continues accepting global carriers? Or it will lock again to t-mobile network. Or change the firmware to Global Baseband to continue receiving updates.
Can I upgrade from Android 11 directly to Android 13?
Im worry about the signal network. Thanks!
Regards!

can OTA Oreo update be transferred from 1 SIM card to another

I have purchased my Honor Pro 8 in India while traveling here. It is an unlocked phone with an Indian monthly cash card from Vodaphone.
There is an OTA Orep update available here in India now for this Indian SIM card, BUT... if I would install the Oreo update here in Indian on the Indian SIM, will it continue to work in my native SIM card I use regularly in Sweden; also a monthly cash card, unlocked
I worry that it could disable or BRICK my phone making it useless.
Is the Oreo update Indian specific for Indian SIMs, or can it work when I return home and put in my Swedish SIM.
...AND...if not..when is the projected roll out for that Oreo update for Sweden ?
Thanks for your help

Hi there,
I am no expert by any means. But I will try to answer.
Your question seems to have a flaw in itself. You bought the H8Pro in India which means the device is tuned for Indian networks, no doubt. Will it work in Sweden? It must work, because it seems to support all global network bands.
Regarding Oreo update, if you thought that Nougat would work in Sweden, why not Oreo? And Oreo is not tied to any sim. It is specific to the device and not the networks. So you can go ahead and update to Oreo and enjoy its features. Bests.

Thanks for your reply...so you are saying it SHOULD work regardless of whatever SIM card is used; even if it will be from another country soon...I just don't want to update it here only to find out that for some reason it won't work in Sweden, and in fact, could shut my phone down....you're absolutely sure about this ??
The only reason your phone wouldn't work at home is if the phone isn't compatible with the network bands in Sweden. Your phone cannot be bricked or disabled by the software. Hell, I am running Chinese firmware on my phone and I live in Canada. This phone isn't even sold here!

Samsung s20 5g AT&T in europe.

Samsung s20 5g AT&T
Hello everyone,
I live in Germany and the mobile we get here is with the Exynos chip.
I found one mobile on eBay which is u.s version
Samsung s20 5g AT&T sm-g981U, the german sim is working but I just found out it's stuck on Feb 2020 security patch.
After reading a little bit online I found out it can only be updated in u.s.a.
Can anyone please tell me what are my update options? Can I install nonAT&T firmware somehow and get the OTA updates?
Thank you, I really appreciate the help.
Search about SamFirm and frija, download the latest firmware, and use Odin. While over the air updates are not available, you can use a laptop, a USB cable and the internet.

5G issues with SM-G9860 no connectivity in France for Taiwan phone

Hello,
I have buy a Galaxy S20+ but I'm really annoyed with it
It's the SM-G9860 Taiwan version (BRI). I have right now the G9860ZHU2CTL3 Firmware (I'm in France).
The problem is, Free has activate 5G and everything is ok with my xperia 1 II but, with the s20+ I can't have 5g connectivity ;(
I saw some people had same issues and solved it by downgrading the firmware, does it wipe all datas ?
I already wrote a message but I didn't see it was on S20 Note thread ^^
If I'm understand correctly I only have two solution as we can't actually change CRC to XEF : change it to TGY for HK location or downgrade it ? I prefer to not install the CHC version.
It's for a friend and I don't want to loose phone datas, I can flash with Odin only HomeCRC no ?
I also see the way with Phone Call App by Google, I see I can change to TGY on my phone, is it ok if I select it or should I backup as it will wipe everything ?
Thanks for your answer, it's the first Samsung phone I buy and I think it will be the last one ^^
Hello, no one have same issue ?
You MAY get 5G connectivity after flashing Hong Kong firmware depending on the service provider. Two considerations, your friend won't get OTA updates and in many instances 5G speeds aren't much better than 4G. Not sure if flashing will wipe all data but it can be backed up. This thread should provide better insight.
SM-G9880 BRI (taiwan) vs TGY (HK) differences? Thinking about changing CSC
I have a SM-G9880 BRI (taiwan) version and using in Australia. I have all the 3G/4G options but I'm unable to select any 5G - even though the phone is a 5G phone. I know my carrier does not use 5G in my area at this time, so is it not showing...

The only way I could get 5G back after upgrading to Android 11 was to flash the CP from an Android 10 ROM. This won't result in a data loss, but will make future updates annoying (you'll have to flash the updates manually, and reflash the Android 10 CP). In my case, my 5G speeds and reception are pretty underwhelming so I might just stick with 4G.

Stock firmware for Android 10 compatible with Verizon network?

Hello, I'm new to this so I apologize if this is a stupid question.
I'm trying to install Evolution X on my G7 ThinQ, but in order to do so I need to have stock Android 10 installed beforehand. The phone model is LM-G710VM (the Verizon model) for which the latest stock firmware is only Android 9, so I'm trying to find a G7 firmware I can crossflash that has Android 10, but so far the couple I've tried haven't been able to connect to the Verizon network. Does any such firmware exist, or will only Verizon firmware work on their network?
Thank you
After poking around in settings I was able to get my network connection working. In case anyone else runs into this, I fixed it by going to settings>network & internet>mobile networks>network operators>search networks and choosing Verizon. Also, the problem only happened when using firmwares coded for other regions.

S20+ AT&T just put on verizon

I bought a network unlock code, phone is now on verizon, works with no issues.
Android 12. Is an official update for this? I am still on android 11. Can not even do the beta via samsung members.
