Edit or change of IMEI is illegal in quite a few of countries. For this reason, I've closed your thread! XDA doesn't allow and doesn't accept discussions about or support for such an edit or change.

I googled but there were only messages from last year. Is there a way to unlock the Nokia 6.1 (2018) bootloader without paying? I remember that before it was so easy to install a rom, but now the brands make it impossible. Thanks
Answered here - it works. https://forum.xda-developers.com/t/force-unlocking-bootloader-on-nokia-6-1.3918971/#post-80135882

Hello guys, I just bought a used samsung galaxy s9 device.
Everything was good until I checked the IMEI, it showed a different device. I tried to do a software update, but it said "Your phone's operating system has been modified in an unauthorized wa. Try updating using smart switch on your computer.
My guess is that they installed a custom firmware and changed the IMEI so that sim card can work in the country I am at.
My concern now is can this installed firmware contain a virus or a spyware of some sort? I need to put my main gmail into this phone and install google authenticator. I am afraid people could have access to my privacy and information.
Please let me know if thats possible and if I can check if its safe or not.
Thanks

Hello,
I have a Samsung S9 phone which is bought from korea. But I am not living in korea.
To make the phone connect to the service they changed its IMEI and flashed a global stock rom. We are good so far.
But I want to use a custom rom, but after I flash a custom rom or a stock rom doesn't matter, IMEI doesn't change but IMEI status became "ng".
We've tried repairing imei from Z3x after flashing custom roms but it doesn't work. Even tho the action result with success signal doesn't come.
So I wonder if there is any custom rom that doesn't change the imei status there?
Why that problem occurs and how can I prevent that to be happening.
Help me please.
