Question Stuck in bootloop Xiaomi 11T - Xiaomi 11T

Hello,
I tried to install a GSI rom on my phone, but I encountered a lot of problems, I couldn't erase the system because it said "system" partition was not found. So I tried many things like editing the partitions. But now, my phone is stuck in bootloop, and I can't enter recovery mode or fastboot mode.
Please help :/

Hi!
I struggled with this for a while as well but I found what works for me.
first, make sure you have the proper drivers installed ( just google MTK drivers and you'll find plenty of links for auto-installers ).
you gotta bypass the auth and flash with sp flash tool.
for the bypass:
I use MTK META Utility v75 ( again, google and you'll find it ).
click "disable Auth", then plug in your phone while holding volume up button. If it doesn't disable the BRom protection, you gotta use libusb to install the device filter.
Once the auth is disabled, use sp flash tool to flash the stock firmware.
first, in options, click connections, select the right comport.
in format, click the "format all except bootloader". VERY IMPORTANT YOU CLICK THIS.
next in download select the download agent and scatter file ( found inside the fastboot stock rom folder ).
Check everything EXCEPT PRELOADER and click download

if you do the whole bypass thingy it's gonna skip certain boot-checks which causes the loop, putting it in a different mode. from there, sp flash tool can access the device.
you can also just hold down the volume up button and then plug in the usb, 9/10 the bypass utillity will catch the BRom

So the BROM protection is now deactivated, but I can't find any COM port in the connection panel. And what is the fastboot stock rom folder ? I need to download the stock rom of Xiaomi 11T?

alright I'm guessing you'll first need to add the device filter for the port.
download libusb, run it and click add filter. while you have the phone in bypass mode, you should see a mediatek device in the list. add that one.
and yeah. but you can just download it from mi.com!

Soo... libusb wasn't working, but I figured out that I have like one minute to flash, during this time, it recognizes the com port etc...
First, it says "lib da not match" in download-agent, then in scatter-loading file it says "the scatter file contains an unsupported version"...

Hey,
My friend is trying to follow your reply in order to get her phone out of bootloop.
Not sure if you are aware but if you google for "MTK META Utility v75" as you instruct people to do... you get a wall of spam uploads which are zip files with passwords on... which gives the impression that basically every spammer wanting to get a virus onto your computer, or youtuber wanting to force you to watch their videos, is uploading crap marked as "MTK META Utility".
Perhaps you could actually provide links to trustworthy software or make a topic with a proper guide for people to follow, instead of just a reply to someone's question?

[Q] Firmware to fix fingerprint sensor? - [SOLVED]

Hi,
I had Global MIUI rom and my fingerprint sensor didn't work well, sometimes it worked and stopped after a while, and sometimes didn't work at all. I searched online and saw many people have this problem with the Mi 5s and its horrible "ultra sonic" sensor, so I decided to try different ROMs, tried Xiaomi.eu and it still didn't work well, and now I'm with Lineage OS, which the most awesome OS I could get in my Xiaomi, but the fingerprint still doesn't work.. When I try to add fingerprint in the settings, and it says "put your finger on the sensor....", I put my finger (long press) and after few seconds the windows just closes and go to desktop..
Please avoid suggesting solutions such as enable nav bar, or disable home button long press action, I tried everything really, it doesn't matter what ROM I install, or what action I assign to the home button, or if I try to set it up when the Android loads for the first time, still the fingerprint sensor doesn't recognize finger or responding at all, it's a much deeper problem than that. Btw the home button itself works great, responding, vibrating, and does what it supposed to do.
My problem is I have no idea if it's a hardware or software problem. Is there a certain way to check the phone recognize my fingerprint sensor hardware? or maybe a way to make sure it's completely ****, that I'll stop trying to make it work?
I really miss the fingerprint sensor.. before this phone I used it all the time.
I also asked this in LineageOS thread, and user "xxal" suggested it might be a deep firmware problem, not in the ROM level.
Does anyone have an idea where can I find a good firmware for me that might fix it? Tried to search online without success.
Thanks in advanced.

UPDATE - SOLVED!!! thanks to david_korku
I managed to flash latest miui china dev in EDL Mode, and now the sensor is working again!!
Downloaded "Xiaomi Mi 5s Latest China Developer Version Fastboot File Download" from here: http://en.miui.com/a-234.html
And followed this guide (Part II only): http://en.miui.com/thread-478922-1-1.html
You can try to enable "Menu" on a long press. Or install ZCX TWRP, mount persist partition, go to persist folder in recovery and rename folder 'fingerprint' to 'fingerprint.old'.

Will it require factory reset?
Is it dangerous / can brick my phone in anyway?
Where can I download the official and latest version for capricorn? here?
Fingerprint problems are generally caused by persist partition. When you flash a rom by TWRP or Miflash fastboot, persist partition is untouched.
I solved that problems flashing latest miui china dev by mi flash but in EDL Mode, now works like a charm in any rom
Maybe this helps you (Part 2): http://en.miui.com/thread-478922-1-1.html

Hi again, how do I flash in EDL mode? do I have to buy / make a special cable? or if I have unlocked bootloader I don't need that?
Will it work without EDL mode? or it's necessary?
No special cable is needed, and it works with unlocked bootloader (mine is unlocked). Instructions are in miui link. If you use windows, it is important install qualcomm driver having disabled driver signature enforcement (more info here: http://www.gizbeat.com/9603/a-digit...le-driver-signature-verification-enforcement/ )

I can't manage to enter EDL mode, no matter what I do, every time I try to enter EDL it just restart and phone normally.
Tried everything that's written in the links you sent, both using "adb reboot edl", and special fastboot script, everything fails.
Also disabled driver signature enforcement.
When you installed qualcomm driver, windows show you this option (attachment)?
If not, you don´t have qualcomm driver installed correctly

Where do I get a qualcomm driver that will match the Mi 5s ?
Reboot windows in disable driver signature enforcement mode and open mi flash with admin rights. In top left corner, click on "Driver" option and after that, click Install/Reinstall on dialog.

ok I found the drivers, it's under "Driver" menu in the MiFlash tool, and I clicked reinstall after I rebooted windows with "disabled driver signature enforcement".
I got the screen you attached 5 times, and clicked "install anyway". After that tried again to enter EDL and the same result.. just restarts..
Having the phone connected to pc in fastboot mode, i use this https://forum.xda-developers.com/redmi-note-3/how-to/guide-reboot-to-edl-mode-fastboot-test-t3398718
And my phone entered in EDL mode (is just a black screen).

No OS image now, please help!

I tried to root my device, and I eventually I managed, but i missed the step to recover my android phone backup from google drive during the startup setup, so I found some tutorial and it seems to tell me erase the phone back to factory so that I can see the startup setup again.
Now the device only boots into TWRP, and I have downloaded two different stock image , V10.0.1.0 and V10.0.2.0, trying to install in recovery mode, so I follow instruction, wipe system before install.
but both of them giving me error, not opening the zip file.
Now I can not use my phone, how can I install a OS please?

Hello,
I think a solution is to use MiFlash and to restore your phone, you will loose all of your data, your recovery and magisk.
Download link : https://xiaomiflashtool.com/
- Boot your phone in Fastboot and connect it to your computer,
- Extract the stock rom to a folder normally you will obtain some files with a folder called images.
- In MiFlash select this folder.
- Click on refresh, if your phone is connected to your computer and in fastboot mode it will appear.
Now select clean all and click on flash button.
Your phone will reboot normally.
If it doesn't work tell me !

But something quite strange, the machine is a bit slow, and i have typed the correct (for sure) password for my wifi a few times, and only the 7th or 8th try it connects.
and I dont seem to be able to install apps from google play, they all stuck in download pending.
Can I actually 'factory reset' the phone to the status when it was out of the box?

Find "Mi A2 Lite toolkit V 1.0.4.2" and use it to flash stock 8.1, it will do all the magic with a few clicks, just don't interrupt it until your phone restarts and you get the "Welcome" screen. After you can do the upgrade to Pie via OTA.

I just want, now, to be sure, can i save my phone ? It's not dead ?
Cause it's a very good phone and i don't want to loose it, really.
Nope, it's not dead, even with locked bootloader it wouldn't be. But now that you've got an unlocked bootloader, it's very easy to restore
I'm more happy so, 5 hours ( no fake really ) i search a solution .... SO

Download this Mi Flash Tool: http://api.en.miui.com/url/MiFlashTool
*I'm assuming you already have the ADB drivers installed on your PC
*Remember to check the CLEAN ALL option
-If the above method does not work, do the following:
* It will only work if you do not have TWRP installed, if it is with twrp installed, I recommend reinstalling the original recovery *
1-Turn off the device and press (POWER BUTTON + VOLUME UP). At that point, the android doll will appear and spelled 'NO COMMAND'
2-Press only (POWER BUTTON) and click quickly (VOLUME UP BUTTON). In this screen you will see the recovery options, use the volume buttons to go to the WIPE DATA/FACTORY RESET option, confirm with YES and restart the device.
3- Wait patiently for 3/5 minutes.
-If none of this works and you can still access twrp, I recommend you try installing a GSI rom using this method: https://forum.xda-developers.com/mi-a2-lite/how-to/guide-functional-twrp-magisk-pie-gsi-t3900119
I recommend this GSI rom (I'm using this now): https://get.resurrectionremix.com/?dir=gsi (choose 'arm64-ab')
This will give you a working system and make it easier to return to stock.
Hope one of these methods helped!

If u alredy used twrp den u have adb.
U need mi flash tool.
Download any one of the full fastboot roms for Mi A2 Lie below:
9.6.4.0: https://xiaomifirmware.com/download/10399/
9.6.10.0: https://xiaomifirmware.com/download/10867/
10.0.3: https://xiaomifirmware.com/download/11586/
So to revive ur fone, u do dis. Dis was how i did mine.
1. After downloading a rom of choice, u extract on ur pc using winrar, 7zip or izarc. U basically open the archive using any of these software n copy out the folder contained. The name usually starts with "daisy global ...."
2. U open the extracted rom folder. U will see a bunch of files including "flash_all.bat" etc and a folder called "images".
3. Click on the address bar of d rom folder and copy the address. Den open "mi flash tool" and paste d copied address in the mi flash tool address bar n click on refresh.
4. Boot ur phone to fastboot mode, using "power" & "volume down" buttons together.
connect d phone to ur pc via usb cable.
5. Open ur adb folder and open the adb command window.
Type in the following, one after the other n click enter:
" fastboot devices " dis to confirm the adb connection
" fastboot oem edl " dis to enter edl mode. Ur fone led starts blinking at 1sec intervals.
6. Back to mi flash tool, u click on "refresh". After a second ur fone should be seen as a COM port "COM 10"
7. At d bottom right, u shd find 3 options. Selct "clean all". This shd leave ur bootloader unlocked after the process.
8. U click on "flash" button at the top right. All things going well, within 10 mins the process shd be done and u will see "green" indicator with "success".
9. Hold ur fone n press d power botton for 10 secs. Then ur fone shd power up. Give ur fone exactly about 5 mins to come up "look at the clock & dnt assume"
Dis is an edit of others tutorials. But this is exactly how it worked for me. As long as u use any of the 3 roms i linked u.
Unless i use edl mode, it jus doesnt work for me.
Good luck. Leta know how it goes. And pls click thanks if i helped u.
Problem solved

[SOLVED] Mi flash error (Length cannot be less than zero)

Hi everyone;
I'm on MIUI11 hybridOS now, and want to get back to the stock rom.
My bootloader is unlocked (by "fastboot oem unlock" command), the drivers are installed on my PC, I'm using mi flash tool 20191206 (i think it's the latest version), i copied mi flash on drive C, and there is no space in the directory of the rom, and i run mi flash as administrator;
but when i connect my phone (in the bootloader mode) to the computer, mi flash doesn't detect it and shows the error "Length cannot be less than zero. Parameter name: length"
Even i tried EDL mode, when in fastboot mode typed "fastboot oem edl", but after that the phone turns off and led light blinks and nothing happens and PC doesn't detect the phone, then i have to restart it by holding the power button.
Could anyone help me?
Thank you

I am in fastboot mode, however it doesn't detect my phone
The alternative way! (My solution )
Finally I found a way to flash my phone without Mi flash tool!
It's so simple,
You boot into fastboot mode and connect the phone to your PC, in the ROM folder (after extracting) there are some files in .bat format (flash_all.bat , flash_all_lock.bat , etc), you just need to double click the appropriate file to run and flash your phone! No need to Mi flash tool!
The Mi flash tool provides the drivers and then basically does what you have done (as I read Xaiomi geek)

Yea you're right, but despite i installed the drivers it gave me the error, so i installed the rom manually!
For fastboot oem edl , you need to have installed Qualcomm drivers, and if u are in miui is more safe edl mode, that is why mi flash don't flash the rom.

But how to solve it? I think I have installed drivers both by pressing Drivers button in Mi Flash and separately.

I want to try this and manually have found both the .bat files for Windows and .sh files of the same name for Android, but I need to know, from which location of them did you flash the phone: I have downloaded stock ROMs both on my phone SD card and on my PC, both in zip and unzipped. Even with developer mode unlocked, the update function from Settings sees only zipped versions on SD, but only tries to get file info and stops. Tapping on either bat or sh files in the phone's File Explorer opens them for reading as text files instead of executing either. In fastboot mode, the phone attached over usb to my laptop is reflected in Device Manager of Windows as Android Adb Device, if I remember correctly, but no files on it are visible in computer's File Explorer or Total Commander or MiFlash or MiPCsuite, the latter in usual work mode of the smartphone shows its internal memory folders all right, but not the SD as such in its File Explorer, though it opens the phone's media, set to be stored on the SD. The original problem is that despite storage of media and downloads on the external SD card and use of CleanMaster frequently, even after deinstallation of all external apps my Redmi says it has only up to 23 mb of disk space. I was recommended resetting to factory settings, but this function says if fails to switch off device search even after I log out of my Mi account and switch off Google device search as an administrator in Privacy settings. I then tried Recovery button in MiPCsuite,, but it did not work, requiring to back up the device on the PC , but saying backup is impossible when I press its Backup button, and Update\Flash buttons on the suite don't give any results either, as update says there are no updates, which is false. Redmi 3, if it is necessary to know, xiaomi.eu , never changed. So my question is, where from did you flash your phone? Where were the ROM\bat files? On th phone or computer?

Question BootLoop not letting me access fastboot

Okay so when I flashed Magisk boot image my device activated boot problems. And when I tried to access recovery mode via adb (from Android Studio), my phone entered a bootloop from which I cannot exit.
Vol down + power buttons does not work. Neither does volum up + power. But when I press vol up+vol down+power my PC emits sound of connected device. I think that it is a problem of A/B partition, but I need to get to fastboot to fix it.
Any solution? I have already tried battery running out.

Yes, but what's it seeing?
You can poke around in Device Manager (View Devices by Connection can be helpful) and find which "device instance" is there.
You can also simply adb devices and fastboot devices to see if anything is there.
You could also try UsbLog.exe. Just run it and plug/unplug things.

This is with usblog.exe.
I have checked and adb devices and fastboot devices are empty even while device is connected (in that 3 seconds window). I have runned some commands with "wait-for-device" and they didnt work.
So you have the MediaTek ROM bootloader there.
I've played with some of the MediaTek stuff (and even started to write a native Windows MTK client), but I'm no expert.
There are two modes, 0e8d/0003 (ROM) and 0e8d/2000 (preloader).
You might look here: https://github.com/bkerler/mtkclient
Try holding the VolUp while rebooting to try to get 2000.
I hope that you have a copy of your original boot? You can flash it back and see if things work.
It's always good to have a good recovery before you get deep in modification.
you can flash with this spflash tool to take back your phone.

I have stopped boot loop by flashing boot.img and vbmeta.img with MTK client, thank you!
Generally speaking, if I want to return to default ROM, what files should I flash? What are the "software pieces" that Magisk touches and modify?

Normally, Magisk only needs to have the boot image replaced.
The instructions tell you to optionally make the vbmeta inactive, but Magisk ignores all that verification anyway.
