Hello
So I am getting different info from reading around but can someone who tried this let me know if its possible to install a ESIM from different network then your real SIM on P7 phone and then pair that ESIM onto Pixel Watch to use but keep using normal SIM on phone?
So does the eSIM configured on watch need to be the active and default SIM on the phone or can phone and watch use different networks as long as the ESIM is installed on phone and watch?

Hey I see that you can use a dual SIM card tray... Where do you get them from ?
Thank you
Edit I have 5g version if that matters
Update - I have UK on ee 5g pro but SIM tray will only take one SIM it's not double sided.
i bought one from ebay
just search for oneplus 7 pro sim tray
I don't think the 5g model will take 2 sims. (Noticed your 2nd post so you presumably already know this )
I don't know if the 5g is dual SIM how can I find out? It has no settings in UI for a 2nd SIM
Anyone know if the 5g version is dual SIM... Two different people say two different things.
Regards
has anyone checked this out for the 5G version yet? might just order one and try it.
The 5G model can do dual-SIM, but you will lose 5G. You literally would have to flash it do a different firmware to achieve this or hope for someone to create a ROM with the 5G firmware that enables dual-SIM. The hardware is capable of dual-SIM, it's just disabled in the 5G firmware.

Update: it works perfectly!
How did you get.it to work
Is it possible to root this device, install some SIM manager app and to use this device with two providers in the same time?
What standard does root-ed Pixel 2 XL support?
Dual SIM Standby (DSS): Only one SIM can be used at a time, 1 radio chip. The phone has single IMEI number.
Dual SIM Dual Standby (DSDS): Two SIMs can be used at a time, but if one opens a call or data connection, the other is offline. The phone has two different IMEI numbers.
Dual SIM Active (or sometimes Dual SIM Dual Active) (DSA/DSDA): Two SIMs can be used at a time, 2 radio chips. This enables both SIMs to open calls and/or data connection. The phone has two different IMEI numbers.
Thank you.

Ok, tnx for that info. So that's 100% sure?
eSIM or SIM, single mode. That's it?
What about Pixel 3 XL, where can I get more info.

I am very sure. Single mode only. I am reasonably sure the 3 is like that as well. Maybe the 4?
I've read that this isn't going to be possible on the Pixel 2 series b/c we only have one IEMI where as the other phones that support dual sim have two.
Pixel 3a and above devices support Dual Sim Single Standby
Single Sim Single Standby (1 IMEI) :
Pixel 2 -> physical sim (or) 1 eSim (Project fi supported operators only),
Pixel 3 -> 1 physical sim (or) 1 eSim (All operators who can provide eSim)
Dual Sim Single Standby (2 IMEIs):
Pixel 3a and above

Pixel 3 and 3 XL got DSDS once in Android Q beta 3 but then it was removed they were working pretty well.
I have issues with Pixel 2 XL esim. It doesn't bring the QR code scanner to scan esim QR and works fine with Google FI
I have just bought galaxy active 2 LTE and i want some help with the way the LTE work .
When i bought the watch , in my mind the connection was very simple , I was thinking that with the connection of watch with my phone (S20 PLUS) the normal physical sim i have , transfer the data to my watch and i can use the LTE to my watch . Unfortunatelly from what i read now , the thinks are not so simple .
For sure i have to enable the esim from my mobile carrier , but can i have the same number to my phone and watch or do i have to make new plan ,with new number for my watch?
Yes, you can have the same number on your phone and watch through a numbershare plan.

So i just need to make my regular sim to esim ?
Also , i bought my watch from amazon.de is there any case not to work with Greek Carriers?
You have to go to your career and ask for an esim for your watch if it's supported. If supported they'll have a monthly plan for it.
I'm not completely sure if it'll work with Greek careers but I've seen reports of LTE working even when it's associated with a different region.

AW2 works with any e-sim, there's no necessary to have mobile plan with the same number with your phone.

I have a Verizon Pixel 3XL with stock firmware. When a some sims are installed, it says "No SIM" just like when no sim is installed. I'm seeing this with two different Verizon sims, and one T-Mobile. Several other sims are recognized normally, including AT&T, Cricket, Sprint, Tracfone, and a T-Mobile mvno. The sims that don't work are recognized normally in a different Pixel 3XL. So both the phone and the sims seem to be working independently, but they won't work together. I don't know if this is some kind of strange configuration issue with the phone, or a hardware issue.
Resetting doing a factory reset and re-flashing the factory image have not helped. Any other suggestions?
did you ever find a solution as i currently running on a esim as the only viable option to use my pixel 3 xl i bought it off ebay and really like the phone besides having to join a new network to use it
I am using an esim successfully if you still looking to use your phone
I'd like to buy a OnePLus 11 from amazon but does it support dual active sims? I'd like to be able to load balance my data between the 2 sims from different carriers. Is this possible?
Or combine the data throughput from 2 sims from the same provider. Is this possible?

Yes it does. You can use two physical sims or one physical and one esim. I use two physical sims. Verizon and T-Mobile.
As for how dual sims work in Android... You select which sim you want to use data one. You don't use data from both sims at the same time. Though, you can easily pick which one you want the data for.
Both will be able to send and receive calls and texts. Though you pick your primary/default sim for what calls and texts default to.
Thank you!, Now if I can just figure out rooting so I can get call recording going.
That's not dual active. That is dual standby. You won't find any phone with dual active sim in US.
Did you need to buy a dual Sim tray?
Thanks
Oneplus has 3 sim slots: dual nano sim tray and one esim.
Tried to dual esim and sim together but some reason on sim can do nothing but text can't use it for calls since I want esim for data
Well if u use esim and sim, sim can't be Verizon
