Thermal further enhanced for battery stability and performance. Support for all ROMs (AOSP/CAF/Port with Snap Dragon 870). If the ROM has a per-app thermal that will also function properly (without destroying the per-app thermal settings), thermal will follow the configuration of the module with different thermal functions according to your taste.

Xiaomi 12x work 67w fast charging?

just flash this archive in recovery twrp or orange on both?

@Vito Hermawan Can you do a plain flashable zip? I won't install magisk just for this.

Is it safe on 12x? Any experiences?

CPU Overclocking Efficiency

Recently I've decided to overclock CPU and evaluate efficiency in term of speed by using one of the famous and best FRANCO KERNEL.
So I've captured 1 minute 1080p raw video with stock settings (no mods or hacks to mediaprofile.xml file) and rendered file in Google Movie Studio in 1920x1080 aka 1080p format and High quality.
Consequently, the results were as follows:

As you can see the most efficient OC frequency is 1305Mhz. All above are way slower, cause CPU gets hotter and efficiency decreases.
Yes, do admit overall smoothness is by far better in comparison to stock kernel, but as you can see overall efficiency is not a deal breaker.
Maybe try the version with the overclocked gpu. I think this can have a big impact, I mean on the PC most of the work is done by the gpu so I could be that it's similar on our phones

it's said that the difference is so minuscule, the 512mhzoverclock isn't worth battery loss. I'm not talking about relative to Franco, the device's stock gpu frequency is 304. But if you see it that way, to each his own.

Unless the GPU has built-in hardware encoding or decoding for the particular codecs involved, and it's actually being used by the software, it won't play any part in video rendering.
Interesting. You could try the same with Trinity .

Snapdragon™ BatteryGuru (Beta) - Save some battery :)

Just a quick heads up for you guys. I found this app today and as our HTC One is powered by a Qualcomm Snapdragon cpu it works good with it.
I installed it today and it works but I didn´t pass the learning phase yet so let me know your results. It should save you some important mah while using your phone and not using it.
A pressed thanks button is greatly appreciated !
Snapdragon™ BatteryGuru extends battery performance and improves overall user experience by intelligently making changes that optimize Snapdragon device functionality. This app:
• Delivers longer battery life with fewer charges
• Intelligently learns how you use your Snapdragon smartphone and optimizes your device without disabling smartphone functionality
• Requires no user configuration - Snapdragon BatteryGuru automatically learns and adjusts the smartphone settings so you don’t have to.
After a brief 2-4 day introduction period, Snapdragon BatteryGuru learns the user’s behaviors and then notifies the user that it is ready to extend the battery life and improve the experience. Snapdragon BatteryGuru continues to operate in the background, deepening its understanding of the user and further optimizing the experience over time.
Available as a Beta release at this time, Snapdragon BatteryGuru supports a majority of Snapdragon powered devices in North America and European Union at this time and we are working rapidly to support additional Snapdragon powered devices and regions in the coming months. If you experience problems using this app, we'd really appreciate if you send us an email at [email protected] explaining your problem prior to leaving a review – we’ll try to respond as soon as possible.

CPU speed for Snapdragon 808 1.44GHz?

So today got my replacement new G4. Dowloaded the CPU Z app and it shows my cpu at 1.44. But my benchmarks in antutu are fine.

You got ripped off.

Or are you serious?
Can someone check theirs and see hat it says? I think i know whats going on. The two cores 4 and 5 are the 1.8GHz and 0-3 are the slower cores.

It's hard to catch 4 & 5 doing much of anything, so I launched a huge game that takes some time to load, switched back to CPU-Z, and snapped a quick screenshot. The apps just report the max CPU frequency incorrectly. They probably just need to be updated for the 808.
That's because you aren't doing anything....
Take your thumb and scroll up and down fast and you'll see it go up.
My thumb wasn't fast enough to get 4 & 5 above 1.4 GHz while taking a screenshot. Launching a big app was a lot easier. Obviously 4 & 5 do move some, but the concern was that they were capped at 1.4 GHz since all of the apps show that as the max CPU frequency.
It's the governor and cpu control that does this - it regulates speed for temperature and battery control by changing the value in sys file system, so cpu monitors that read that once and treat it static will always get a false value.

Here are couple of screenshots showing the 2 high power cores 4&5 at their maximum speed of 1.82GHz. As well as their speed history.
I used System Tuner app from the Play Store. You don't need root to use the app to monitor system usage.

Question can anyone post "cpu throttling test" results for the poco f3 ?

the app is available in playstore you can the results with and without game turbo
I'm running pixel experience but I'm happy to run the app if you send a link to the playstore download

In the last picture before you there are three numbers under the word "Performance".
These numbers; Max, Avg and Min are the maximum performance and the minimum performance. If these numbers are close to each other that is good.. if there is a big difference that is bad it means the device throttle and you're not getting full performance.
In the picture it's good it says that the max performance and the average performance are really close and the minimum one is only 10% less.. so most of the time you're getting the best performance and when getting the worst it's only 10% worst.

Oh alright, thanks! I see better here. Like on desktop, thermal throttling and voltage throttling, CPU being underclocked if thermal/voltage throttling. Great, it is interesting indeed.

Why do you use a module that is intended for certain SoC's with one that is not even supported? The OnePlus 9 Pro has a Snapdragon 888. The highest version according to the GitHub site is 865.
Or what am I missing here?
I think you linked the wrong GitHub Page...
I this one should be the right one
